Stone Cold's promos- Christian- you suck! You're fighting a 60 year old man! Eric Bischoff- You're a big stupid son of a bitch. Have fun fighting Kane! Shane- Bischoff likes big boobs- kick his ass! What interesting promos eh Johnson? But what does Austin beating people up accomplish? It doesn't draw any money. It doesn't make an ACTIVE WRESTLER look any good. It just makes Stone Cold Steve Austin, a retired and unentertaining wrestler, over.

How? His promos are no longer interesting, He adds nothing to the product and is making other people looking weak.

Christian could've run out and chaired Shane and then Bischoff changes the match. The fact remains- Eric Bischoff considered a man who had never wrestled a match better backup then 3 time I-C champ, 10 time tag team champion and a former Euro/Hardcore and Lightweight champion

But the fact remains that Bischoff thought the Coach was better backup then the I-C champ. He looks like an idiot

Since Bischoff took over- July 22nd- Bischoff loses Brock Lesnar. August 26th- Bischoff loses a World champion Brock Lesnar. Again. Sept 18th- Bischoff gets kicked in the balls by Stephanie, Unforgiven- Bischoff's plan to have Stephanie perform HLA fails in spectacular fashion and he gets stinkfaced ::Throughout this time Bischoff is constantly bossed around by HHH. December- Bischoff makes Shawn Michaels special guest ref under the promises he is unbiased. He is not. Bischoff does nothing January- Bischoff is given 30 days to change his ways. 22 days later- After not being able to bring back the guy who he fired- Bischoff is fired. That same night- Bischoff is rehired under the pretense he kisses Vince's ass. He refuses so he's forced to face the man who fired him and is a 5 time WWF champion. No Way Out- Bischoff gets the shit beat out of him. 2 weeks later- Bischoff is conned into a rematch with Austin. 2 months later- Bischoff is forced to work with the man who he fired twice, beat him in a match twice- Stone Cold Steve Austin. May 5th- Austin rehires Jim Ross, brings back the title that Bischoff killed. Judgement Day- Austin forces Bischoff to drink until he pukes Next night- Austin has Mae Young harass Bischoff. Bad Blood- Bischoff gets ballshotted by Mae Young and given a broncobuster. Later on he is stunnered and thrown into a pigpen. A couple months later- Bischoff is conned into a match with Kane. After he wins he is forced into a match with Shane. Summerslam- Bischoff apparently thinks that Coach is better back up then the I-C champion. He is stunnered. That same night- Linda slaps him. Wow- What a GREAT GM.

Minor quibble- TLC2 happened at Wrestlemania X-7. TLC 1 took place at Summerslam 2000

I love how Bret is trying with all his might to get back in the ring. So Diesel slingshots him into the Spanish Announce Table. What a great spot

Bulldog was working his ass off in 1997 as he was motivated. He was involved in more then one terriifc match Mike. I don't think a 20 mat wrestling clinic is a "fluke". It shows he's a good worker. Bulldog/Owen v. Furnas and LaFon was a great series of tag team wrestling. Bulldog and Owen were good enough to not let their dissension storyline overwhelm the match itself. I've explained this many times. Bulldog can have a great match with a good-great worker but you're probably not going to get anything good if you put him in there with a slug. That doesn't make you a slug. Bravesfan already covered that one. Shawn changed his style because Bulldog forced him to. Michaels didn't look good by getting murdered by Davey. Bulldog was able to get Michaels to change his style and a great match at KOTR 96 resulted.

Diesel v. HBK is overrated. The whole match is Diesel throws Shawn around until he gets hit with a wooden leg. Bret didn't have to get put through tables to get a good match out of him. Instead he worked a smart mat based style and didn't made Diesel look good in the process. Bret v. Diesel tells a much better story then Shawn v. Diesel

That's because Vince wasn't a wrestler and Austin had limitations. So working with great wrestlers doesn't make you a better one? Look at Edge. And in 2001- Austin was less rusty and had more experiences working matches. But sometimes Ray- it is. He was working with someone who could get him to 'go' and Benoit was able to work with Austin and get a good match out of him

Bret v. HBK. They were doing ladder matches in Stampede way before that. Yes but HBK v. Bret was the first WWF match of its kind. The first time Vince took notice of one

But NWATNA isn't wonderful and has many of the same problems WWE has. I used to like Shane but he's just not interesting as a face character. There's no reason to root for him. Why does he get the upper hand when RVD was RIGHT there?

I got into a TNA show expecting to be entertained. Considering I'm a big fan of Ring of Honor- I don't care if a promotion is not a WWE clone. It's Kenny Bania. I expect TNA to put on a good product and entertain me for two hours. I don't think that's too much to ask

Raven and Punk have been feuding for quite some time now. When it was announced that Raven would be debuting in Ring of Honor- CM Punk was very unhappy. CM Punk takes his straight edge beliefs very seriously and looked down upon Raven- someone who has battled addiction to drugs and alcohol in the past. Punk seemed personally angered that Raven threw away his career to do his vices. At Expect the Unexpected Punk pulled off a major upset and bloodied Raven up en route to making him tap out to the STF. Raven was the master of mind games so he recruited Colt Cabana to team with him to take on Punk and the trainer of Punk and Cabana- Ace Steel. Raven’s team got the win- but he pinned Steel, not Punk. Punk then one-upped him in the mind games department when Cabana turned on Raven. This marked the official formation of the Second City Saints. At Epic Encounter- Raven was not present but he sent Trinity there to send a message to the Saints. Also at EE- Punk and BJ Whitmer had a brutal match that ended in a draw when Punk gave Whitmer a German from the apron through the table. Punk was very cocky about the match and talked down to Whitmer and acted like he won the match. At Round Robin Challenge II another minion of Raven showed up but he was laid out by the debuting Lucy (a.k.a. Dafney from WCW) At Do or Die- Punk cut a terrific promo where he talked about his straight edge beliefs. At Night of Grudges Raven teamed with Whitmer to take on the Second City Saints. It was a wild bloody brawl and the Second City Saints won. After the match Punk kicked Raven's ass and put him through a table. Two weeks later at Wrestlerave Raven had an even bigger partner- Chris Daniels. It was another wild bloody brawl and Punk bled all over the place. Once again the Second City Saints were able to get the win when Punk pinned Raven. After the match Punk choked out Raven with a chain and left him coughing up bile. Raven wanted another shot at Punk and challenged him to a DOG COLLAR match at Death Before Dishonour. In a promo cut after Wrestlerave- Punk revealed that his father threw away his life because of alcohol- just like Raven did. He saw his father in Raven and it made him angry and made him want to kick Raven's ass for reminding him of the life he had to grow up wth. Death Before Dishonor came around and Raven and Punk had another sick brawl as both men bled and both men beat the shit out of each other. The ref was knocked out because of an errant chairshot and Cabana ran in and beat up Raven. Danny Doring tried to save but was unsuccessful. Punk got the win. Again. Afterwards Punk tied Raven to the ropes and produced a beer. Punk proceeded to pour beer down Raven's mouth as a way to knock him off the wagon. But who should make the save- TOMMY DREAMER! Dreamer showed up and chaired Punk down and then tied him to the ropes where Raven did the unthinkable. CM Punk, Mr. Straight Edge, Mr. Drug Free and Alcohol Free, had beer poured all over him. It was the ultimate insult that Raven could do and this only esclated the feud further. There ya go- At September 6th these two will face off once again. Enjoy it.

CM Punk is a great worker. He's famous for a 90 minute match with Chris Hero in IWA-MS. He wrestled prominently in the midwest before finding ROH. I'll post the backstory in another post. He won't be there probably. The field of honor is a round robin tournament set up by ROH just to show off some good underused workers. It's a way for them to push mid and uppercarders. I'll let ROH tell you themselves- Ring Of Honor is proud to present the first Field Of Honor starting 9/6 in Boston. It will be an eight man tournament. The eight competitors will be split into two blocks. They will wrestle each athlete in their block. The man with the most wins in his block will wrestle the winner of the other block to determine the first Field Of Honor champion. In the event of a tie there will be a bonus match with the victor taking the block. The Field Of Honor is currently scheduled to take place on 9/6 in Boston, 9/20 in Philadelphia, 10/16 in the Baltimore area and 11/1 in Elizabeth, NJ. More dates might be added. The winner will undoubtedly see his career skyrocket to a higher level. The Field Of Honor is sure to provide competitive, even contests featuring almost every style of wrestling. Here are the two blocks. Block A Chris Sabin Matt Stryker John Walters Xavier Block B Colt Cabana Dan Maff Jimmy Rave BJ Whitmer This match is going to rock. Homicide primarily wrestles in the east although he did have a great match (heresay) with Hero in IWA MS. At the last ROH show he beat Steve Corino to a bloody pulp. He's awesome. Samoa Joe is the current ROH champ. He works strong style and is a very hard hitting worker. Jay Briscoe is very young (19?) and used to work for CZW. In ROH he's feuded/teamed with Mark Briscoe. Yea- Mark is good stuff. Should be a good match.

Shane also faced Rikishi in a 2000 KOTRQ match. And he took on Rock in July 2000. He also took on Blackman the RAW before Summerslam 2000

Chyna vs Ivory, RTC vs Acolytes & Tazz and Eddy vs Test have historical importance? Chyna v. Ivory and APA/Tazz v. RTC were a combined 5 minutes of a 4 hour show. Eddy v. Test was a good match. I didn't say every match on the show has historical signifigance- but the show is historically signifigant

I'm sorry- I meant 9.95 There are some parts of TNA that I do like- And I do want them to do well. It's frustrating seeing them make the same mistakes that WWE is doing. It's frustrating seeing them keep making all these mistakes.

I think the Euro title one was the night after SDVM. Shane v. Taker was between JD-KOTR 2000. The match against Vince was sometime in 1999. He also teamed with Stephanie to face Show and Lita in summer 2000. And he faced Angle on October 1st, 2001
