  1. I don't know about you guys but.....I really don't give a shit about any of these TE guys.
  2. You know, as a young voter, I'd be thrilled to be have an OVW star register me to vote.
  3. Frankly, if they're not going to push Batista as a main event threat, then this is the best way to use him - to put over the midcard talent. Unfortunately, this win doesn't matter since we'll likely have the boring squash next week.
  4. Waittaminute, Marney's going to be there? .......shit, now I may have to consider this. If I don't make it, one of you better take some pics. Then share them. With me.
  5. I don't know if anyone's mentioned this or not (I'm not sitting here to read through 8 pages of this thread) but the best part of the entire clip is the one guitarist (the one playing the pink n' white guitar) with a big ass smirk on his face after her little fuck-up.
  6. Evolution is running RAW? .....how is that any different than any other RAW?
  7. Even rhetorically speaking - "serious" conservatives will NOT view Kerry as the lesser of two evils when he's compared to Bush.
  8. Thank you, Mad Dog, I now know more about INXS than I ever wanted to.
  9. Yeah.. I heard something like 90% of people survive thyroid cancer or something high. Interesting how you're exploiting a man's age and exaggerating his health problems to try and pitch your candidate. Why are you pointing fingers here? I'm currently IN law school (and a fairly liberal one at that) and this story was very much in discussion today, with the consensus being that "We've got to vote Kerry in so that Bush won't stack the court with another Scalia or Thomas". Both sides are probably going to play this up over the next few days.
  10. I don't think there'll be riots or anything if Kerry wins. However, I do think that the conservative pundits & idealogues will engage in a campaign of retribution against him (and the liberal establisment in general) that will make what happened to Clinton in the 90s look tame by comparison. Basically, either way, no matter who wins I don't see our country being any less "divided" politically.
  11. You? Let the record show that it was I who pointed out Jobber's little fluff-fest here.
  12. Man, I remember when Jobber at least engaged in interesting discussion here in this folder. I look forward to the end of the election, wherein perhaps he'll regain his senses and get back to his old self.
  13. I have to agree with Satanico. I saw Grudge this weekend, and I quite frankly don't think it has ANY staying power whatsoever. It's a decent flick, but not one that will inspire a lot of repeat business.....it might do decent numbers next weekend, seeing as it's Halloween weekend and all, but that'll be about it for the flick. I'm kind of surprised it made as much as it did, I would have figured it'd top at about 22 mill.
  14. My personal god? Bruce all the way. But Walken is a more "mainstream" star, so I can see why more people would vote for him.
  15. I know less than two weeks to the deadline we're all in SUPERPARTISAN~! mode, but let's try and look at this objectively. Mike's posted a bunch of instances in which Republican HQs have been vandalized or burglarized.....I haven't seen anyone offer up any examples of the same being done to Democratic HQs, but if you have some, feel free to share. No one is saying that the Kerry campaign is behind this, but given the number of instances offered, is it really so much of a stretch to think, as Mike does, that perhaps the Democrats HAVE, in at least some small manner, contributed to creating an environment where anti-Bush individuals literally believe that they need to see him defeated by "any means necessary", i.e. by committing criminal acts?
  16. Jesus, can a mod close this thread? Because when the "discussion" finally breaks down to "Are you a man?!" / "Ask your girlfriend!", then all hope is lost. Someone spare us from this black hole.
  17. Have you seen "The Grudge"? It's like that. The INXS / C-Bacon virus of idiocy spreads to all who have entered this folder. There is no escape from it. It will possess your soul.
  18. You know, I'd probably have to go with **1/2 stars as well. It was decent enough for what it was, but overall I was disappointed seeing as this was a remake of a film that some have proclaimed to be "scarier than Ringu". I haven't seen ANY of the Japanese versions, so maybe they're better, but overall the film could have been a great deal better than it was.
  19. That'd hurt too, considering us 'pubs get issued jack-boots upon registration.
  20. Man, this thread is 18 different sorts of retarded. I'll just say this: at this point in the campaign, photo-ops do absolutely dick to sway someone's vote one way or the other (unless something extraordinary were to happen, like if Kerry had accidentally shot himself in the foot or something like that). By now 99.99% of people are either for one candidate or the other, and the other 00.01% isn't going to make up their mind based upon Kerry wearing camo or Bush wearing a flight suit. Christ, this election can't end quick enough. Whatever happens, I'll just be happy I won't have to see ridiculous threads like this one pop up every day.
  21. Man, AMC has really declined in terms of quality. Yeah, I mean, they've got a few showings of the classics like "Frankenstein", and they win some points for airing some Hammer films. But I saw a listing for "Dr. Giggles." Come the fuck ON. DOCTOR GIGGLES?!?!?!

    Your WWE Changes

Minor changes: Have actual storylines for the B shows. I know that the creative team appears to be struggling as it is to put together even shitty storylines on RAW & Smackdown, but having a couple ongoing storylines on Heat & Velocity would give people a reason to watch those programs and would help get over some of the lower-card talent. Moderate: I'm with Papacita on the backstage skits being revamped. I know we're supposed to suspend disbelief, but some of the shit that happens is just beyond suspension - time to make them more realistic.
  23. WE get to vote, eh? So, gentlemen - do we do what's right and vote off the worst contestants? Or do we take the path of evil and make sure that the worst of the lot gets the contract?
  24. So, Studd Jr. didn't make it? Damn. I probably could have rooted for him.
  25. Okay, well, I have to agree with Jobber on this one point. Slate is rather tame compared to fucking salon.com.
