  1. That perverted old man character was a scream. Too bad they didn't have him in more than two episodes. Speaking of that other episode: Chris (at police station, viewing lineup): Are you sure he can't see me? Officer: He sure can't. This is one-way glass. Chris: Okay. It's number four. *Peter walks into the lineup room* Peter: Uh yeah, I'm looking for my son, Chris Griffin. He's here to identify that guy who robbed the convenience store. Chris Griffin. I got a school photo of him. *hands photo to robber* Yeah, actually, you can keep that. Chris screwed it up by writing down his class schedule and a list of his fears on the back. Chris (writing in diary): I can't believe I kissed Sam! But the worst thing about it was....it felt kind of right. Brian: You kissed Sam?! Chris: Wha-how did you know? Brian: You were talking out loud. I heard you in the next room.
  2. From BoxOfficeMojo.com I was kind of disappointed to see Shaun of the Dead way down at number 8, but upon closer inspection one can see that it was only released on a little over six hundred screens and it had the second highest per screen average for the weekend. Here's hoping that it gets a wider release and that good word of mouth (leading up to Halloween next month!) increases its revenues next weekend!
  3. Whoa, hold up - the new album is politically themed, in time for the elections? Heh. No wonder YOU'RE into it.
  4. Yes. Hal Jordan "turned heel" and became "Parallax", hence my reference in the earlier post. A Parallax themed costume for Hurricane would rule all.
  5. They really need to give him a new costume to go along with the turn. Something with a lot more black, to reflect the new "dark" nature of Hurricane. The comic geek in me would like to see them model it after Parallax, but that's probably way to inside for 99.9999% of the audience. You know, this heel turn is just a few weeks too late. If he had been turned around this time in August, they could have had him come out these past few weeks and laugh evilly at the devastation that has been wrought in Florida and the southern coast.
  6. He is, of course, completely right. And the Germans respond by whining and then taking their ball and going home.
  7. I didn't even realize this was out now. Jesus, I've been working too much. And that just depresses me to think about it, because I know that even if I bought this I wouldn't have time to play it because of all of my work. But about Fable - hey, when some people tout it as "greatest RPG...EVER~!!!!" before it comes out, it's bound to disappoint.
  8. I haven't even listened to it yet, but I proclaim it better than the original. Because I KNOW it will be, even if it's shit.
  9. As my grandmother always use to say, wish in one hand and shit in another - and see which fills up the quickest. It doesn't matter how much they need it. In this day and age, if one Islamic Martin Luther stepped forward, there'd be a million zealots (at least) ready and willing to kill him for it.
  10. Man, this thread is pathetic. But decent little tag match between Rico / Haas & the Bashams, and a NICE moonsault from Rico.

    The Crucible

Well, yes and no. She doesn't really kill them with her own bare hands, but her word - accusing others of being witches - results in sending a few to their deaths. Why? Because she was a fucking bitch. And because she was horny for John Proctor, and when he rebuked her advances, she decided to get back at him by accusing his wife of being a witch.

    This is not good

C'mon, Mike, this is fair what they're doing. Someone needs to counteract the Repubs for the MILLIONS of black voters they're disenfranchishing this election. Of course, those are all convicted felons, but still - it's only fair.
  13. Because if one person so flagrantly breaks the rules, what's to stop everyone else from breaking the rules and chaos breaking out? You mean like Saddam? -=Mike Hey, the U.N. took good care of him. No, I mean - they really DID take GOOD care of him.
  14. Welcome to Current Events.
  15. This is the place for you.
  16. Is Agent Asian? Cause if so, I'm gonna laugh even harder at this.
  17. Wanda? .....I'm assuming this is going to make sense at some point. You know, I've defended Bendis to people before in the past - I don't want to have to change my mind on him now.

JMS is so very much getting on my bad side these days.
  19. To the families of Israelis who were killed by Hamas bombers funded by the contributions of Stevens and others, I imagine it's pretty serious indeed. Fuck him.
  20. Then we're all very, very fucked. Martin does have a point in one sense: Khoffi Anan seems to have the time in his busy schedule to claim that the Iraq War was illegal, but doesn't really seem to have the time to comment on what the U.N. is going to do to stop, oh, you know, a GENOCIDE, from happening right in front of everyone's eyes. Tell me again why anyone should give the U.N. anything even remotely resembling respect?
  21. Well, your word certainly has value......if it allows me to state that I'm right and someone else is wrong.
  22. If the US is about to be invaded, we shouldn't NEED to be drafted into the army. Be kinda sad if people claimed they didn't want to defend their home and ran to Canada. They should. If they do, the Canadians will be kind enough to build them a nice little memorial for their cowardice.
  23. Hey, anyone remember a couple weeks back when I criticized TNA by suggesting that they were, unwisely, going to make X-Plosion the better show than Impact, and I got insulted for it? Nice to see I've been vindicated.
  24. You make that post in jest, but honestly, can CBS really be trusted anymore, at least in the short-term? Even if you don't accept the bias argument, then the only other option you have is to accept the fact that they were colossally inept to be completely fooled by false documents / information. So can any news story they "break" in the near future be trusted? I would imagine that it would have to viewed with an incredibly critical eye; and quite certainly, any news story they may report about Bush, unless corroborated by - yes, I must say - more CREDIBLE sources, would have to be immediately suspect.
  25. You may remember the old Persian saying, 'There is danger for him who taketh the tiger cub, and danger also for whoso snatches a delusion from a liberal.' ---the great Sherlock Holmes..... .....edited by me, of course, to reflect our current age in general and Tyler's post in particular.
