I think this is going to be the flick to finally expose Shmalayan as the overrated hack he truly is.

I see a lot of jobber matches. Which pissed me off immensely last week. Learn your fucking lesson, TNA. I've been watching this show for all of maybe three consistent weeks now, and if they don't cut this shit out in the next two weeks, I'm not going to even bother anymore. I didn't wait two years for them to get a TV deal only to see fucking two minute jobber squashes.

It's kind of sad that they found that "surprising". It's a rather simple equation really: You engaging in civil protest quietly + not giving the underpaid / overworked cops unnecessary grief = the po-po not beating your ass into the pavement.

There's no way this movie winds up being rated R. They're not going to willingly exclude the under 17 demographic, not even for the sake of art - there's too much money to be made on this. It'll be PG-13, but a hard PG-13 (this might be one of those instances where the studio cuts some sort of deal with the MPAA to give the film a lower rating than it probably deserves).

Well I for one can't wait to see the blokes at the RNC convention who'll be wearing the big, giant foam Bush & Cheney heads.

The fact that it's a Batman film that appears to be: 1. Extremely well done visually 2. Dark 3. Dark. 4. Dark 5. Well Acted 6. Actually reflective of the core of the CHARACTER, and not just a movie where a guy dressed like a bat has a bunch of cheesy one liners and does bad martial arts. That's why its so exciting. After Schumacher, even glimpses of a serious bat-film are enough to get one excited. No, none of you understand. I'm a giant Batman fan. I'm supremely excited about the movie itself. But that TRAILER was absolutely NOTHING to gush on about. I don't understand the hard-ons for that trailer. It was a small little preview. Cool for that purpose, but "OMG IGOTCHILLZ!!!11" is a bit much of a reaction to it.

I refuse to even start reading The Wheel of Time series until Jordan finishes it. Which looks like it's going to be quite some time yet. Speaking of fantasy books that I keep rereading: The LOTR trilogy (of course), but I also dearly love Lloyd Alexander's Prydain books. Oh, and to whomever mentioned the original Dragonlance trilogy, I concur. There were rumors that the trilogy will be adapted for film, and in the wake of seeing what Jackson did with LOTR, I hope that those films do happen, because I think technology is at a level now where such films could be made, and made right.

See, I can't really view her as funny / amusing, because she actually believes what she says. If there was the possibly even the hint that maybe she realizes that she could be full of bullshit (at least every now and again), my opinion of her might soften a bit. But she believes in the truth of her words, and that just makes her every bit as dangerous an ideologue as Moore.

What's really the point of arguing which party is going to elect a black president? It's not going to happen to EITHER party any time soon. It'll be AT LEAST a DECADE, if not longer, before we come anywhere close as a nation to electing a black president. I don't know if it's fair to say that for all Dems or black leaders, but that's most definitely true for Sharpton & Jackson. Once the majority of black America realizes they can do quite well for themselves withOUT the leadership of either Al or Jackson, both of those men are royally screwed.

This is correct. Most of the protestors who are currently in Boston are the REAL hardcore leftists, the crazies (like LaRouche's supporters) or are just plain anarchists who don't care for any of our elected representatives (Republican or Democrat). The more "mainstream" (if that term even applies) protestors will be in NY for the RNC, because, you know, Repubs = TEH EVIL.

If Flair is referring to the various "hardcore" matches or brawls that HHH & HBK have had, than the criticism offered by some in this thread is valid: Mick Foley has had better hardcore matches / brawls with HHH and HBK, respectively, than HHH & HBK have had together. And yet, in Flair's mind, Foley's a "glorified stuntman" while HHH v. HBK (whichever version) is the "greatest of all time." It's a valid criticism.

I saw the trailer and I must say....... what the HELL are you people so excited about? I'm the biggest fucking Batman mark on the planet, but that trailer didn't send "chills up my spine" or anything like that. It was a nice littler trailer, but nothing really remarkable. When there's a trailer of Bale in action as Batman, maybe that will be something to get one's rocks off too, but not with this.
