  1. People are going to be shitting themselves when Ken Lay gets even less than that.
  2. I'm with you. I'm ambivalent towards a new Superman film. But I'll be extremely pissed off if they postpone X3 - provided, of course, that this news is true. BTW, was the Abrams script the one that had "And then Luthor flies!"??
  3. I may be too late in telling you this, but it's on now (started at 12:00 a.m. - Sunday morning). Look for a PM from me.
  4. IMO, he did this to himself. Too much heat in the last year or so. Not just with this ankle thing, but in previous months, you know - the whole laser eye surger thing, etc.
  5. See, Jobber's being all confusing, because over in the "Would You?" thread he distinctly makes reference to possibly eating the cooch. Maybe he's one of them there fellows who swings BOTH ways.

With all due respect, AAA actually has pretty much sent TNA their best wrestlers. which kinda tells you something. Abysmo, Metal, and Aguila honestly aren't that impressive. Garza has charisma and Juvi is good, but other than that, there's nothing noteworthy coming out of AAA. from what i understand, CMLL has better luchas. maybe TNA should start talking to them instead. You're preaching to the choir here - I've advocated that TNA form some sort of relationship with CMLL for a while (pretty much ever since my cable company FINALLY started picking up Galavision, and I can get my weekly Lucha Libre weekend blocks). There are a ton of CMLL guys who'd work well in TNA. Way I see it, Garza & Juvi are the best AAA have to offer, and I do think they're good guys to have on hand. Outside of that, AAA doesn't have much. Aguila is pretty decent - when he wants to be, which isn't all the time. Lation Lover seems to have good charisma, but if TNA ever used him it would likely be with the X-Division, and I don't think he'd really fit there. You know - I'd really love to see TNA get Rocky Romero, Puma Kid, and Bobby "Rocko" Quance. Hire all the Havana Bros.!
  7. It's morons like you that daily make me lose my faith in humanity.

    Eddie vs. Kurt

Jesus Christ - I can see them grooming Cena for the title, but having JBL keep the title until MANIA?!?! That's tantamount to madness.
  10. If you sincerely believe that Michael Moore is "telling the truth", I could ask this same question of you.
  11. That's the way life is today. A white man said something bad about a black man. That makes him racist. Sure, he didn't say anything bad about his race, but whatever. He's still a racist. I suppose now would be a good time to point out the fact that, on at least one occasion, Muhammad Ali has gotten in trouble for making jokes about Jews which would be, by most audiences, considered anti-Semetic. People have given him a free pass because, yeah, at this point he's half-retarded. But yeah - Feller is the racist one.
  12. This is specifically why I've never really liked Superman as a comic book character. He's TOO powerful. Even post-Crisis, which was suppose to depowe him, he's STILL effectively a god. I can't get into that.
  13. Pedophilia doesn't work that way, though. It's a psychosis. If the priests were turning gay, as in having homosexual relationships with other ADULT males, because that's all they were around, then maybe I'd agree to your point. But again, that's not how pedophilia works. You have to have that particular mental illness, you can't just acquire it. Assuming you're straight - if you were around nothing but 10 year old girls all day long, every day of the week - I doubt that you'd suddenly develop the urge to grope one of them, no matter how sex-deprived you become. I don't absolve the priests, of course. I think that if there is any justice in this life, they'll all be burning in hell for all eternity for their sins and for causing so much pain and anguish to not only their victims but to the true Catholics who honestly try to live a life of righteousness.
  14. ......how so? I mean, abnormal psychology doesn't work that way. If you're take a vow of chastity, it doesn't make you suddenly crave young boy ass - you have to be already so inclined. The reason there are so many pedophiles in the clergy is because pedophiles usually are "smart" about their perversion and realize that being in the clergy a) grants them some amount of protection and b) allows them to get into a relationship of trust with the community, which they can then use towards victimizing people. Oh, BTW - your sig is a corruption of all that is good and wonderful about Spider-Man.
  15. Oh Mike, you're so full of it. It doesn't matter if Moore is a bully or not. What's important is the MESSAGE. So maybe the guy's a little pushy - the MESSAGE that the dirty warmonger Pete Townshend wouldn't let him use the song, that's what's important. We should be thankful that someone had the courage and - yes - PATRIOTISM to bring forth this message. I mean, after reading those remarks by Moore, I don't really see how anyone can still support Pete Townshend, and if people were on the fence before about buying Pete Townshend music, I don't see how they could buy it after what's been said.
  16. Batman's rogues gallery wins rather handily, IMO. And I'd place Spider-Man above the X-Men, although X-Men does probably have the best rogues of any superhero team out there.
  17. I KNOW you're not this dense. I just know it. I have to believe this. I don't know why you're being this naive. Yes, everyone, INCLUDING THE UN, said that he had them. YES, THEY DID. The issue was NEVER about whether he had them, because EVERYONE believed that he did - the issue was whether the U.N. inspectors could find all of the weapons and dismantle them. THAT is what the weapons inspectors were trying to determine - how much he had, where he had the goods hidden, etc. And those who opposed the war did so on the premise that we should give the inspectors more time to disarm Saddam rather than disarm him through war. And not a trace? Let's not rewrite history here. Hell, right up until the start of the war Saddam was destroying, for example, rockets / rocket systems that were illegal and he was supposed to have demolished years prior. Come on. It's not as if this was ancient history - it happened just a year and a half ago.
  18. [liberal - or on this board, perhaps more accurately, Jobber] Well, she's part of the same pack of liars, so why should I believe anything SHE has to say? [/] Don't blame me - you started the FMJ reference, I'm just taking it to the next step. But maybe I was too harsh, so I'll clean it up: I'd pay money to see Mikey Moore eat a jelly doughnut with tears running down his big fat face as a few dozen brave soldiers do pushups in front of him, their eyes focused upon him with malice and disdain in their hearts.
  19. So, the rich of this country just wind up getting richer, eh? All part of living in George Bush's Two Americas.
  20. You're obviously mistaken, Cerberus. You're just part of a large cultural group-think that has established this myth that our military has been treated with anything less than complete and utter respect by certain extreme left-leaning individuals in this country. I know you THINK people have disrespected you before, but the good folks at TomPaine.com have clearly proven you wrong. But no disrespect.
  21. I know I'd pay money to see Mikey get the soap treatment.
  22. I would have thought that it would have made more domestically, though, as it is by far the best film of the three. And outside of Spider-Man, which I have sentimental ties to anyway (me being a Spidey mark since I was a little kid), Harry Potter was probably the best film that I've seen this year. I was actually AMAZED by how much I liked it. I walked in not really expecting much, and was stunned at how much I enjoyed the film.
  23. IMO, the ONLY reason to see "I, Robot" is because it's directed by Alex Proyas. I don't know about it. It looks like the type of cheesy sci-fi flick I would normally watch (at matinee price), but then again, it has Will Smith in it - and I would place him in my top five list of actors who annoy me every time I see them. A friend of mine has a theory about this film - it's the type of movie that Arnold would have been in if he was younger and still making movies.
  24. That loud sound that you all just heard was my skull bashing against the wall in frustration at the reasoning skills of some of the people in this forum. Vyce, are you at all capable of actually contributing to a debate here? So far all you've done is insult those that aren't in lockstep with your opinions, while you blindingly and sycophantically agree with everthing MikeSC and a few others have said. We would be in no LESS of an environment of "fear", as snuffbox puts it, if someone else - for example, Al Gore - had been president rather than Bush. It's the reality we live with. Him blaming this one on Bush is not surprising, but it is assinine, and I'm not going to coddle him if he thinks that way.
