  1. What is this shit? You know you're in bad shape when you start copying entire segments from the RAW battle royale you just did about two months ago.
  2. Wow. Rodney Mack makes his return to RAW as a cameo in a battle royale.
  3. Do we have Pritchard to thank for yet another gimmick gem here?
  4. WE are the real villains here, Mike. We're feeding him muffins & cookies - and I'll bet you my entire bank account that we're not counting his carb intake. Man, we learned NOTHING from Abu Gharaib. Someone call Amnesty International!
  5. Maybe. But he offers virtually NOTHING of value in this article. Q: "What's wrong with the WWE now, Jimmy?" A: *rambles about Vince Russo, who hasn't been with the company for years now* Q: "What's wrong with TNA, Jimmy?" A: *rambles about Vince Russo, doesn't know anything about the recent product* I read nothing but two long paragraphs about Cornette's seemingly eternal grudge against Russo.
  6. It's region 4, though. Has there been a region 1 American release yet? I actually looked for this at the video rental place a week ago, and no dice.
  7. Mike, in terms of American animation, as well as TV action / adventure storytelling in general, there is little that touches Justice League. I'd easily rate it as one of the best animated programs of the past 10 years.
  8. One of these things is not like the other... Boy, you ain't kidding.

Yeah, but this thread's title isn't about your feelings. Really, he doesn't suck. He's better than Alpha Male Monty Brown or Abyss or any of those TNA big man abominations. You are INCREDIBLY off-base about Abyss. Abyss is pretty much better than.......just about every hoss that the WWE employs now. You know what? Abyss is better than new TSM glory boy Batista. Yeah. I said it.
  10. EVERY state in the Union should adopt this Act. What this guy's getting stuck with is, quite frankly, government sanctioned robbery. It's true what they say - it's the bitches that'll get ya's.
  11. Bumped, for the simple reason that after seeing yesterday's Megas XLR episode - a complete parody of Voltron & Battle of the Planets - my opinion of this show has gone up a few notches.

    Coming Soon?

We're not that lucky. Hey, I'd mark for a Boogie Knights reunion, wouldn't you?
  13. After watching it last night, the squashes pissed me off to no end. What pissed me off most was probably that the 8 man tag lasted all of maybe 4 minutes. Seriously, TNA, you could have fucking cut out AT LEAST two of the squashes and had the 8-man go for the full ten minutes, or damn near close to it. You can't tell anything close to a decent story in an 8-man tag with only FOUR minutes.
  14. Too bad I don't already have my law degree, because I'd love to handle the father's case. I'd sue for FULL custody and NO visitation rights. After all, if he's fucking paying for the kid, it ought to be his and his alone.
  15. Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio seem to be the toss up states. There's rumblings in the conservative circles (talk radio and sites like wnd.com and newsmax.com) that the core conservative base (guys like me) is indeed pissed at Bush and may very well either A) stay home on election day or B) vote for the libertarian or some other 3rd party guy. Bush's team seems to think that the Iraq war will be enough to keep the conervatives "happy." I think Bush is in deep trouble as he has nothing to gain. In order for him to win, he has to hold onto every one of those little red states that put him into office last time. The fact is, he's more likely to lose those states to Kerry than he is to steal one of the medium sized blue states that went to Gore in 2000. Bush needs to realize that voter apathy in the conservative block is for real this time. What good would that do? I don't see it really happening. If the Dems had put forth a truly moderate candidate, I could see it happening - but honestly, are hardcore conservatives (and that's who frequents sites like newsmax), who are apparently upset at Bush for not being conservative ENOUGH, going to just sit back in November and let John Kerry, a man who (if you say nothing else about him) is certainly a good deal LESS conservative than George W. Bush (I'm being careful here not use the dreaded "l-word"), win the election? I don't think so. I think both parties WILL firmly have their base intact. The election will depend, as usual, on the fabled swing voters.
  16. You'd be pitting them as rivals to a new generation of coolness by letting Orton maintain his arrogance, Batista maintain his pimp daddy monster role, Benjamin being the confident/cocky guy he was when he jumped from SD to Raw and beat HHH, Jericho being what he is now and Flair being the legend guiding what could on paper look like a new generation of Horsemen. Strangely enough.... that sounds very appealing. Same here, it'd be interesting to say the least. Why? Why do people always want to bring back the past? "They could be the new Horsemen!" "The could be the new DX!" NO. Those gimmicks worked in the past, but they're dead and gone now. Leave it that way. There is no need to bring them back AT ALL, outside of Vince just doing it to pop the ratings for a few weeks. HHH. One THOUSAND times out of one thousand. Yes, Benoit has to lose the title sometime - but NOT to Orton. If you're going to give it to HIM, then let HHH play the transitional champ. Not Benoit.
  17. This doesn't necessarily count as a book (unless you count his short story collections), but I constantly reread anything and everything written by Harlan Ellison. I mean, "Mefisto in Onyx"? "Paladin of the Lost Hour"? "The Man Who Rowed Columbus Ashore"? Owns you.

I've said this before, and I still stand by it: Tomko is maybe the worst worker in all of the WWE. Worse than Suzuki. Quite possibly worse than Heidenreich. Worse than 2003 Kevin Nash, and worse than Nathan Jones. Luther's pretty decent for a hoss. But still.....there are a lot of guys that I'd rather see in his slot.
  19. Wow. Well, if JBL hadn't become champion a few short weeks ago, I'd say that putting the belt on Randy Orton would be the dumbest thing they could possibly do with the heavyweight championship. But they did put the belt, on JBL. So putting the belt on Orton is just the second dumbest thing they could possibly do with the heavyweight championship.
  20. Hey! Check this out: Bush leads Kerry in electoral votes. What makes this any different than the post which started this thread? Pretty much.....nothing. The moral of the story - it's still way to early to start calling this shit, in any direction. It's all pointless pontificating.
  21. Fuck no, they shouldn't. 1. Sperm donors should be kept completely anonymous. Only a limited amount of information about them (primarily their medical history) should be given to the woman. 2. It's grossly unequitable.
  22. This is a minor story, but really, you WOULD think someone in his campaign would have thought that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to drive off from the Detroit stop in anything but an American made car.
  23. This thread is proof of what I said in the other thread, the cynicalprofit poll - we really, REALLY need a "One and Only Election 2004" thread in which to put all of these little polls and minor shit like this, so we don't have a dozen little threads clogging the folder. One of you mods - get to it. *snaps fingers*
  24. "The Damnation Game" by Clive Barker, which I firmly believe is one the greatest "modern-day" horror novels of all time. Also by Barker, "Weaveworld."
  25. I'm sure this is fake. If it isn't, rest assured - these things ALWAYS inevitably get leaked onto the net. But don't get your hopes up in this case.
