I find this hilarious. And hell, I'll officially BE a lawyer in about a year from now.
-
Jesus Christ, that thing made little sense. He's all over the fucking map there.

But wait, I thought that particular individual..... .....who owns a certain network..... ....that has been known to cause us all to engage in uproarious fits of laughter.... .....in this year of our Lord two-thousand-AUGHT-4..... .....was an ultra-conservative and thus everything related to his networks was biased and couldn't be trusted? Sadly, I cannot disagree with you.

That entire scene was incredibly hot.

I still don't like Orton. Or Batista. But I've come to realize at this point that, alas, they aren't going away any time soon, so I've learned to tolerate them. In SMALL doses.

Finlay's been working with Kim? I figured there was a reason she's been modestly improving lately. And the Jeff Hardy thing is nuts. If they did it, I'd have to hand it to the WWE for finding a way to muddle that big mess of an angle up even further.

Oh okay... I get it... KKK can make smartass comments and asides that have nothing to do with furthering the debate... but ah forget it, go screw yourself The problem with your remarks was that members of your intellectual persuasion have said them before in this folder, only they a) weren't joking and b) were dead serious. So forgive us if we don't automatically pick up on your subtle sarcastic wit.

If you sincerely believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'm willing to sell to you reeeeeeal cheap. I'm talking wholesale price here.

I think Mike advocates what I'm advocating here. If they really are peacefully protesting, they'll likely just be incredibly annoying, and most certainly entirely disruptive, but they should be left alone, or, conversely, simply treated with scorn. If they start shit - if they start fucking around with cops, or with ordinary people who are just minding their own business, or trying to go about their daily lives, then may definitely deserve a few well-placed kicks from jack-boots. The constitution protects the right to protest - but it doesn't give one the right to start screwing with people under the guise of First Amendment protection.

I'm not saying there IS a link, but I certainly wouldn't take the word of a British paper at face value. They have their own political axes to grind on the subject.

First off, WHO KNEW CHENEY WAS INVOLVED WITH HALLIBURTON!?!?! LOL2004 Seriously, though, this doesn't surprise me. This always seemed like a rather weak and pathetic "scandal" being played up to hurt Cheney. I think Rep. Davis (who used to be my representative, until redistricting gave us one of the best anti-Semites in Congress, Jim Moran) hit the nail on the head. Criticism of Halliburton and investigations into breachs of the contracts should take place......but they have nothing to do with the vice-president.

That'll create an interesting hypothetical situation: If Iran invades Iraq only months after we've liberated the country and helped them establish sovereignty, will the doves of the left call for the U.S. to come to Iraq's rescue?

That's what HBO,Showtime,Starz and the 'net is for. Don't waste your money on a god aweful movie just for a nude scene with Halle berry in it. Why waste time with that movie? If you're going to watch a lackluster Halley Berry movie just for the naughty stuff, forget "Swordfish" and go straight for "Monster's Ball". Yeah, it's got Billy Bob in it, which is normally enough to make me pause, but he FUCKS THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF HER. Worth the price of admission ten times over your silly "Swordfish."

That about sums it all up. Say what you will about Haas / Rico, they were at least halfway entertaining as champs. So what does the WWE do? Put the belts on the Dudleys who a) have only had the belts a billion times already and b) regardless of what the WWE is trying to sell us, are just as incredibly banal and stale as they've been for the past 2 years or more. Totally forgettable and thus, not worth watching, Smackdown this week. I'll stick with Velocity.

Agreed. I doubt that there'll be any outcry against this, seeing as this IS the Bush Administration, but really, if this is a secure location that could be used for generations of presidents & vice-presidents to come, it's irresponsible and just plain idiotic to disclose its whereabouts to the general public. What?! That's it - I'm going to call for an special independent prosecutor to investigate. RIGHT NOW.

I have nothing against the Newfies. So why give them such a terrible burden? BTW, no one here should be so absurdly ignorant as to expect that these protests will be 100% peaceful. I've been through a few protests here in D.C. in the last few years, and while I'll throw out the caveat that most of the time the protestors are non-violent (though annoying and utterly disruptive to the NTH degree), there WILL be some assholes who start shit, probably with the cops, and frankly, those people deserve the beatings they will so justly receive.

Yes, that IS Andre from Outkast. Fucking awesome. And it's already past 10:30. Unless this finale is going to run long, somebody better die within the next 25 minutes.

I would assume that Mikey is talking about the recent bills that were introduced that, if passed, would reinstitute the draft in a fashion (if wouldn't reinstate it in the way that many liberals are having a knee-jerk reaction to the legislation believe that it will, but it would institute it). Of course, that legislation has less of a chance of passing than does, say, a statute that proclaims me the King of Mars, passed by a unanimous vote of BOTH houses of Congress. Moore knows this. I think this hits the nail on the head. While I wouldn’t say that Moore actively hates America, he’s wretched enough of a human being to take at least a modest amount of satisfaction in the pain and suffering of fellow Americans just so that he can be proven “correct” (although I would proffer that it’s entirely subjective that Moore is “correct” on anything). While I don’t think he has or would actively cheer for, say, American troops to die in Iraq, he certainly will use such a thing as ammunition in his rather sad little war on Bush & conservatives. His fans would, I suppose, claim that he does this only because he really cares for the soldiers, etc. I think Moore has, alas, crossed the line a long time ago where he is not above using any petty or deplorable or insensitive tactic he can, without regard of the consequences, just so long as he can use it to wound those he has a political axe to grind against. And that makes him all the more reprehensible in my eyes, because he ceases to distinguish himself from the very things which he claims to hate.

We definitely want to give him to them in enough time so that they can try him and execute him as he so justly deserves. If the U.N. steps in, they'll screw it up, and we'll likely get another Milosovic-like trial where it'll be 10 years from now and Saddam will still be in court refuting the charges against him.

Sounds about right. Absolutely. That's not misleading - them's the facts.

Theorietical McCain VP-led Kerry ticket ruins Bush
Vyce replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Current Events
I could conceivably find myself voting for a Kerry / McCain ticket...... ......Provided that Kerry promises to resign as President approximately two minutes after being sworn in. Write a contract. Make him sign an affidavit. Just so long as he promises to quit and go home and let McCain do the job. I think that's fair. After all, he would get a whole two minutes. -
From what I remember of him in ECW, I wasn't impressed with the guy as a worker. But I have nothing but respect for him as a person. If memory serves me, he joined the military in the wake of 9/11. Sorry to hear that he was wounded, but if's going to be working tapings, than I'd assume he's back to good health. I wish him nothing but the best. What's the deal with Classic? Is it the typical Guerrero problems (glug glug)? At least he'll still be getting a paycheck.

Hey - I love RCR, and frankly, I'm happy to get any port of it. And I have Gekido. Visually, it's good. As for the rest, eh. It's okay, but there's better for the GBA.

Irony, right? So sad that I have to ask... Irony is Michael Moore fans, such as yourself, who will criticize this movie, even though essentially it follows the exact formula that Moore follows for all of his films: Attack a specific group or individual, and then proceed for the next hour-thirty to present as much biased and factually suspect material as one can to portray that individual / group as the ultimate evil. It's hilarious - it's the best rib (insert Moore food joke here) that could probably be pulled on Moore. The only difference is, this guy, whomever he is, might be less cavalier with distorting facts than Mikey.

No one can defend North. But it's not as if he was the only problem with that film - it was doomed to suck no matter who was cast. I don't know what you mean by that. And I must strongly stress that I'm not gay. But sometimes when I see a picture of him......maybe I should just stop before I say something that might get misconstrued.
