    Best X-Men writer?

Morrison, by quite a large margin.

    Told you so

I might be the only one here who thinks this, but I think Edge is legitimately the "future" of the WWE in so many more ways than guys like Orton & Batista are (or ever will be).
  3. Jobber's made me laugh (for all the wrong reasons, I'm sure) more in this thread than in perhaps any he's ever posted in.
  4. I sincerely hope you're not saying that with a straight face. I watched the entire run of Futurama once, and after seeing it once.....it's enough. Overall, not that great of a show, and it does NOT hold up well to repeated viewings. I usually tune out of the reruns, then turn back to Adult Swim once Family Guy comes on.

    Tool.

Dumbest thing ever. All four of their studio albums are COMPLETELY autonomous and differ vastly from one another. I avoided the Maynard is God selection only because he's just one part of that amazing band. I do however think they're one of the best bands on the planet. Overproduced? You're nuts. Their first two albums are grimy as hell. Opiate is half raw live tracks, and aggressive studio songs. There isn't a single glossy moment on Undertow, which is dark, subtle, and brilliant. It lurks in a person's cd collection in a sinister manner. I've gone off the deep end about how wonderful I think they are in a couple other threads, and how they embody my favorite things about King Crimson, Pink Floyd, and some heavier fare. I would have to agree only about 1000%. Tool's a better band that we deserve. And, frankly, "Lateralus" was a fucking brilliant album. I can sort of see where some people enjoy APC more, as they're essentially a lighter version of Tool - I believe that Maynard at one point said that APC was the "feminine" side of the music while Tool was the harder, more "masculine" side. Both great bands, but I'd give the edge to Tool, probably because in my mind APC will always be Maynard side project. I'd love to see Tapeworm once it finally ever gets done (if it ever gets done - but Trent needs to get off his lazy ass and stop doing shit like taking time to produce tracks for Zach from RATM).
  6. Because you kind of are.
  7. The six-sided ring doesn't really work for AAA. Hmm.....probably because AAA, for the most part, sucks ass. I don't think it'll work for anything other than X-Division matches.
  8. I'm sitting here thinking that this Shelton / Orton match might be pretty decent if they just actually wrestled instead of killed time between overbooked spots.
  9. The fact that "The Day After Tomorrow" made 70 million makes me lose faith in humanity a little. Luckily, the fact that Shrek 2 beat it restores that faith.
  10. Yes. DC/Baltimore area... Yay. Four a.m. *sigh* Guess I'll have to set the VCR....
  11. I have to urge everyone to watch Natural Born Killers while drunk or high, because I only watched it once, stone cold sober, and I found the film to quite thoroughly suck huge giant portions of donkey dick. It sucked. Pure and simple. Outside of Tom Sizemore, who's always good, the movie was a 2+ hour waste of my time. But hey - maybe it's something worthwhile once you're, you know, a bit in your cups.
  12. I suppose I'll laugh in a couple weeks when they lose the tag straps to Eugene + partner.
  13. And while I'm at it, what's the rationale behind having the team of USA-critical, French-sympathizers winning the tag titles on the American Memorial Day?
  14. Retarded. I hate when the WWE puts over some loser just because they're in their hometown.
  15. Hey, congrats to Rosie! He looks.....well, slightly less retarded than he did before. But only slightly. Still, it's an improvement!
  16. Why are people even debating this when they could go see Shrek 2, a movie that is INFINITELY better than every part of this awful, awful film? And hey, what a shocker to see Ebert hand out stars like that for this particular film.
  17. Judging from the media coverage over the last month, they seem to know how to put panties on peoples' heads and how to form naked human pyramids. Maybe we can humiliate illegals to stay in their country... Heck, according to Amnesty Int'l, we have engaged in the most systematic rejection of the Universal Statement of Human Rights (1948) EVER. Or, in OTHER words, Abu Gharib is worse than, say, the Soviet gulag, the killing fields of Cambodia, Mao's various genocidal schemes, the Rwandan massacre, etc. Yup, we've done WORSE. And THIS is why it's so hard to take the far left seriously. Even when they have an actual point --- they overstate their case so badly it's impossible to NOT mock it. -=Mike But it was worse, Mike. So much worse than all of those events. Sure, others have committed genocide and engaged in mass murder on a near biblical scale, but we fed them PORK. PORK. We Americans are the worst of God's creatures.
  18. You can ACTUALLY thank Clinton for that. How can you thank Bill Clinton for playing a scream sound effect over and over again? Because that was the problem. It was like every station in town had that sound bound to a button push and kept their finger on it at all times. Clinton leaked out all of the dirt on Dean. Clinton sabotaged him. You seem to forget that the scream came after a primary he was SUPPOSED TO HAVE WON EASILY. This was a problem BEFORE the scream. And the scream was as big a factor in his demise as Dole falling off the stage in 1996 was to him. Namely, it was not one. -=Mike Mike's right. Well, I don't know about the Clinton stuff.....but he's right on this one point - Dean was finished long before the scream. Liberals who supported Dean tend to bring up the scream as it if was his undoing. It wasn't; by that point, voters had already decided that this man wasn't the one they wanted to even have the opportunity to lead the nation. The scream may have been the nail in the coffin, but the body of his campaign had already grown cold.
  19. Would D.C. be considered "Mid-Atlantic"?
  20. So Paul Heyman isn't gay? Out of that big, long report, that was the one news bit that stunned me as well.
  21. From one of the links on the site JMA provided: I know now that there is a God, and he / she is kind and merciful.
  22. I want to revisit the whole arrest thing, because it drives me absolutely crazy sometimes. The faces will get arrested for absolutely anything......at the drop of a hat, the heel or evil boss character can have a set of cuffs slapped on the face and they're hauled off to the poke (usually only to 'escape' later that evening for a run-in). But the heels, quite literally, can get away with murder (or close to it) with NO recompense. Take, for example, Kane, who set JR on fire and got away with it scott-free. Same thing with Big Show.
  23. And I would slaughter all of you to just get one more season of Farscape. Just ONE season. Farscape is returning as a miniseries to tie up the loose ends. http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/art-film.ht...04/05/17.00.sfc Silly mortal! A miniseries is not good enough! I deserve a full season! Oh yea? Well, I'd kill Rudo just to watch him die. Just.....to watch him die. I'M HARDCORE.
  24. And I would slaughter all of you to just get one more season of Farscape. Just ONE season.
  25. Again, FEEDING them is, apparently, evil. The Geneva Conventions get turned on their head. -=Mike You're just not SENSITIVE enough to their cultural differences, Mike. We fed them pork? How brutal and savage we are. Why, they should lop off a few more American heads as restitution for our horrible insensitivity. Someone's apparently never been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.
