Ok, finally this story is newsworthy. It's the story that just keeps giving.

That would be Bossk. Yes, Bossk, the Trandoshan. He's had a rather storied rivalry with Boba Fett. It's very sad I know all of this. Boba Fett is a great example, BTW, of Lucas' greed and him being utterly duplicitious about that greed. I remember, distinctly, Lucas giving interviews way back in the day (LONG before the prequels were ever even close to production), and when questioned about Fett, Lucas would always remark about how he never thought the character was special, the character was never meant to be anyone important other than to facilitate moving the story along (i.e. capturing Han and moving him to Jabba's palace on Tattoine), and that he didn't really understand why people found the character interesting. Fast forward to the prequels, and Lucas, realizing that Fett has become arguably the most popular secondary character in the entire franchise, makes Fett and his 'father' Jango integral to the Prequels.

Wow, you're not one of the people here I'd expect to be making that sort of argument. Naw. At worst, maybe it's criminally negligent homicide. But maybe INXS was right when he said Americans were murderers. Or maybe he didn't so much as flat out say that as imply it. Well, it might have been. The whole "interning all of the Nips in camps" thing went a little over the line, though. Oddly enough, I'd still slip it to Michelle hard. Mike, you are aware of the irony of that statement, right? Based on that, I'd say that JasonX is right about DC hating the Superbuddies. Speaking of the Superbuddies, I Can't Believe It's Not The Justice League #2 was even better than the first. What's that in, JLA Classified #5? I'm not feeling it. Maybe it's an acquired taste, because I read JLA Classified #4 and HATED it. It felt as if I was reading a comic book as done by the makers of Seinfeld.

I've said it before, but I'm surprised the WWE doesn't use Big Show more often for promotional gigs. He's got terrific charisma when he goes out and does appearances like this.

If that's true, than holy fuck. I don't know if they're going to do it, but I have to say, if Bats *knows* that the League wiped his mind, they MUST have him bring the ass-kicking. I mean, seriously. And it just occurred to me that DC is so far ahead of Marvel these days creatively that it's not even close.

I think people need to read this again. No offense, but Gabe & co. couldn't even be completely honest with us that Feinstein was gone from the company, so it's not as if I have a lot of trust in his word. No offense to you, but this is the kind of shit that I'm afraid we'll see happening.

It doesn't matter, he wouldn't issue an order anyway. Bush doesn't REALLY care that much about this situation. He cares a little, I'm sure, based upon his religious beliefs, but honestly, everything W has done in this situation has been done primarily so his brother saves a little face.

Problem is it doesn't make it harder for bad guys and gals to obtain them... This is where the Washington D.C. folks have to speak up. We have some strict gun control laws - and quite a bit of violent, gun-related crime. Hell, it seems as if every month or so there's another school-shooting.

The courts are not bound by any statute other than the Constitution, nor should they be. All the federal statute did was allow the case to go to the federal courts, where the judges could do as they saw fit. They were not compelled to hear the case. Just offering an explanation. I do think it's fair, though, to some extent, for Mike to argue that the Court is 'ignoring the law", based upon the reasoning that I already stated. Man, times like this I wish I had Photoshop, cause Terri's head would totally be on young Elian's body.

I think Mike is referring to the fact that the recently passed federal legislation called for the federal courts to take a "fresh look" at the facts of the case. Then those federal courts, within days, ruled against hearing the case, with the reasoning that the state courts have already ruled on the issue. Which is all good and proper, but it's going directly against the intent of the legislature. So, in other words, the federal courts are going directly against the very statute that allowed them to hear the case to begin with.

Now that you mention it, yes.

Why do people want Venom now? I MUCH prefer a slow build towards Venom. I'd rather see Eddy Brock be introduced in the third film (or the fourth, whatever), and have his hatred for Parker develop over the course of at least one movie before Venom comes into the picture. Why rush things? There are a TON of Spider-Man villains to go through before they should even go to Venom. I'd have no problem with Church portraying Sandman, or Electro, or Scorpion, etc.
