  1. I would argue that, as he had a great heel run in ECW. It beats the crap out of the stoned jackass face he's played since being in WWE
  2. John Cena can actually be a good wrestler from time to time, but he hasn't been since becoming Vanilla Ice 2004. I'd have to agree that Haas is the only real heavyweight that has breakout potential
  3. The main reason I've brought this up is because so many people have complained about glennsoe, gearhead, etc. starting so many threads. If you post the gossip crap in a folder then it prevents all the pointless threads people complain about. And yes, I know it's been discussed before and the like. Slacklet pointed that out to me a few times. I just think it would be helpful.
  4. With all the talk of thread pruning and need for space, wouldn't the General WWE News Folder be a good idea to try once again? I know we started it at the beginning of the month, and I think it would catch on after everyone got used to it. There were a few complaints about it, but none too legit, what about it?
  5. Honestly, every single worker gets predictable after a while. Look at RVD, Edge, etc. Just because Flair is doesn't mean he should retire. He should, though. Really. No, REEAALLLY
  6. If you look at a couple of years ago, though, you had a strong mid-card as well. Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, etc putting on great mid card matches. If Foley, Rock, Austin and HHH were all people wanted to see, the ratings would only be high when they were on, and bomb when they weren't. Good wrestling shows start with a good undercard to set a foundation for the ME. This also proves, though, that Benoit isn't the reason for the ratings, though it also proves that HBK & HHH aren't the only reasons either.
  7. I watched the 01 RR and I couldn't believe they didn't run more with a Rikishi Haku team. They could've feuded with Too Cool had Rikishi turned heel. It would've been magic...........
  8. I started watching it when I was around seven or eight because my uncle watched it, and back then he was the shit in my book. My cousin and I would wrestle on a trampoline on occasion, wrestling being clotheslines and the Scorpion Deathlock (Which I refused to call the sharpshooter until I found out that it was invented by the Harts). I, like Laz, developed some smarkish ideas before I became a smark, but I really came into full smarkdom about 4 years ago when I got the internet in my college dorm. I already knew it was fake, but I spent hours scouring the net for any information on wrestling. My best friend is now a wrestler in Aiken, SC (home of the Big Show, whoopity doo) so I've seen how rings are built and talked to workers in the locker room. There are times where I wish I believed it more, but honestly, I'm glad I'm a smark. Especially after watching wrestling with a guy who is a full on mark. Man, I feel sorry for him.
  9. The title line does say "We love our attitude problem."
  10. There is nothing in what he said that leads me to believe he can't book a wrestling promotion well. It's just that he has a new direction in HIS life. Just because he's going to seminary doesn't mean he'll insert Bible lessons in any booking. And though I can't blame people for thinking it's a swerve, I'll at least believe him until he gives me a reason to do otherwise. The guy used to book Crash TV and Tit's and Ass all day, and was,IIRC, the reason we no longer have cage dancing on TNA.
  11. That's not necessarily true, as some schools have firewalls that prevent it, as I found out when I ordered Royal Rumble a few years ago and had to watch it on a 56k modem instead of the school's network
  12. Does anyone else notice that they're going with the TNAW name on this logo?

I still don't see a beer gut, but yes, it is better he's not a roided monster. It's no where as bad as say....my gut, but he's not the toned guy he used to be is what I mean. Yeah he's nowhere near as bad as when HHH came back from his honeymoon and it seemed that he lost all his muscle and his gut was pretty damn fat. Like he was doing nothing but, eating to get ready for a part in movie or something. I personally like HHH better with the gut. It's a bit of an old-school shine. It makes him more intimidating, as all the muscle just made him look like a 'roid stuffed gym rat.
  14. I have two questions, and the first one doesn't really have anything to do with the six sided ring. I was watching a tape a few days ago and I have one question: Why don't they get a bigger ring? It would seriously help their match quality for heavyweight and X-Division matches. Another question. Is the six sided ring the size of AAA's or is it the size of the one on Highspots.com, which looks tiny?
  15. So the six sided ring will be for Heavyweight matches too? That's gonna be "fun" to watch. Seriously, why not just a bigger ring?
  16. And people wonder why Republicans are considered bigots
  17. I've heard mixed reviews on them. Some people love them, some people hate them.
  18. I think around $10 is the cheapest I've seen on this board. Good Luck
  19. Does anyone know of a wrestler in the 70's known as Turk the Terrible or The Terrible Turk? I think he was based in Florida, and wrestled Hogan before he was Hogan.
  20. That's quite possibly the best ladder match I've seen. That had me and my friends cringing on the edge of our seats.
  21. Was that really necessary? Anyway, as I asked in another thread in which this came up: Isn't THQ still under contract with WWE? I would assume Acclaim and EA sports would be available, but THQ makes the WWE games. EA sports made those miserable WCW games and Acclaim made the early WWE and ECW games. Would the TNA games be just as bad as those?
  22. I was thinking that TNA was allowing their wrestlers to book themselves, and would only take money on the appearances that TNA bookings made but the USA Pro article makes me question that. If the only way to book TNA talent is through TNA, then that is a fairly ridiculous new policy, if it's not then I'm ok with it.
  23. The problem is, Cade, Scotty, Holly, Bradshaw, and Jindrak (probably) wouldn't get cut. Most of these guys get a pass due to "loyalty" or having "the look" (i.e. Cade, Jindrak), and thus would stay, while a guy like London would be turfed. Not to mention that WWE won't let them go because they want all the talent. They won't cut those guys because they're afraid of two things: 1)They'll all go to TNA and surprise everyone with the talent they have. Firing them could just give them the desire to get better. 2)They'll give someone else the idea to start a new fed *coughTURNERcough* (After no compete clause is up). Vince won't risk anything like that happening
  24. I'm about to lose control, and I just can't fight it
  25. Did you go to the Nutter Center to get your tickets, or did you go through Ticketmaster like I had to? I'm pretty pissed at Ticketmaster because I didn't get seats anywhere near where I wanted to, so I was just curious as to whether you got what you wanted.
