  1. No I remember marking out big time for him at Heatwave '98. A guy almost 300 pounds leaping over the top rope into the crowd? I think it's a shame that WCW and WWE didn't use him better. Don't get me wrong, I actually like Awesome. But he just wasn't among the best ECW Champions of all time, or even close. The quality of opponents for Awesome was way lower than say a Douglas/Raven. When Douglas/Raven were champions ECW had the most talent. So that's why I said that. Sorry for not explaining myself. I agree...while I like Tanaka as well he wasn't a huge name. They should have run an Awesome feud with Raven, Sabu, Dreamer, or RVD. They waited too long to do the RVD one and he got hurt right after. They ended up with Spike Dudley (although I liked the ppv match)
  2. The last thing they need to watse more money on is a new screen or entrence. It won't improve the show any.
  3. Awesome was decient...but he seemed too forced onto the fans in the "this is your champion, now deal with it" way
  4. Tommy's win sucked cause you've never seen it. His match with Tazz wasn't shown on tv and Cyberslam wasn't released on video.
  5. NYC...you've gone soft. Hell. I get edgy when I'm in Detroit...it's half the reason I don't go to many RAW or Smackdown shows anymore.
  6. Since Survivor? That's been less then a month, not like it's been a significant amount of time or anything. Jones has proven to be useless, and Big Show is almost as painful to watch.
  7. Well...if the people believed that X-Pac was 222 then they'll believe anything. I think they just pick random weights for guys. Weighing in at 275 lbs. Nah...needs more Hoss. Weighing in at 330 lbs! BAH GAWD!
  8. He's still the most solid guy in the ring. I think I'd rather do without Big Show or Albert over Kurt. Smackdown won't be as good without him.
  9. Lynn just got the belt with no build up and no real story after. They just blindly passed the belt from Justin to Jerry to Steve to Sandman to Rhyno...I didn't like the last few ppvs having 3 and 4 way matches
  10. That's a far far stretch. While I like both shows they're nothing alike. I saw the first 10 episodes and missed the last 2...I was moving durring that time and lost Showtime. Price pending I might pick it up.
  11. I know: "Youth N Asia...ICHIBAN!" That's it.
  12. It was dumb...but nothing worth getting antsy over
  13. Chavo Guerrero vs. Shelton Benjamin...could be alright, but I like the tag matches better. Basham Brothers vs. Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty...the very shitty, very unover tag champs vs the other very shitty team. Jamie Noble vs. Sakoda...don't know anything about the other guy yet. But I at least know Noble's good. But this NIdia angle is the shits. Chris Benoit vs. John Cena... Shannon Moore vs. Big Show...least I know when I can take a dump. Brock Lesnar vs. Winner of Benoit/Cena match ...hope they do this right.
  14. From a total mark standpoint I'd say Mikey. I'm a huge Whipwreck mark. After the first match I saw of him (Double Tables 95) he's been my favorite ECW guy. I'd say Raven was the best. Douglas was good but his Nov 97-Jan 99 run was sooooo shitty. I got real bored with ECW halfway through that. They kept it on him over a year and he was hurt and missed too much time.
  15. The more Wood was in the show the less I liked him...I wanted him to be evil...or at least die at the end.
  16. I meant to set my VCR before work to tape it...forgot though
  17. I'm way tired of black/white jokes on black shows. There's nothing good left. Overall it was ok. Nothing great, but not awful...I give it a season.
  18. Yeah, we can make an exception.
  19. Anyone who gets dropped on their head 28 times in a match and kicks out every single time deserved it. They make heavyweights look like shit later in the show when someone jobs to a powerbomb or brainbuster. I wouldn't mind their spotmonkey work if they at least sold moves right.
  20. Student match is taking place...one student rakes the others eyes and throws on a headlock RED: "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! What are you doing?" Student A lets go of headlock Student A: "Wearing him down while he's off balance." RED: "Out of the ring! I'll show you how it's done." Student B and Red resume the match. Red redoes eye rake spot. Then climes to the top rope and does a moonsault...then back to the top rope and does a shooting star...then back to the top and another shooting star. JOEL: "See, and eye rake is always followed up by a moonsault and double shooting stars...haven't we taught you anything? I don't think you're cut out for the wrestling business." RED and SATs shake their heads in disapointment
  21. Even if you talk about Buffy not knowing how to dust one...it still beat her ass hit for hit. And even though I like Xander and Giles...all of the upstairs crew should have gotten slaughtered.
  22. Wow...I guess you'll learn how to take 11 powerbombs and 24 other moves that drop you on your head and learn to kick out...even though heavyweights can't. Fuck the SAT and fuck that little Red. Spotmonkeys
  23. I loved Caleb but I think it was a good way to show just how powerful the Scythe<sp?> was. The Scythe was a huge-ass cop-out. As was the "everyone is a Slayer" thing. Those pissed me off so much. It should have been the Scoobies just hwooping ass, none of this "magic sword we learn about 4 eps from the end and wasn't anywhere near a factor for 7 years". Yeah, it was a cop out. but I was more insulted by the idea that SITs were dusting Ubers left and right like it was no deal. Yet the first one kicked BUffy's ass major. Let's see...Buffy, 8 years or so a Slayer (figure about how long before the show began)...Great power, tons of training. SITs...Slayer powers for about 11 seconds...couple weeks of training WITHOUT SLAYER POWERS. Now why did Buffy get her ass kicked and these nobodies just smackdown like pros? That part buged me more the anything else.
  24. Kids suck these days,
  25. Dumb gimmick
