What's odd is that Roberson is usually a perfectly competent outfielder.

http://minors.baseball-reference.com/ Fantastic stuff here. Complete fielding stats including LF, CF, RF splits. You can see how many assists your teams' outfield prospects had. See what players lead in statistics across all levels. Check out Jim Rushford's career minor league stats.

Now back to the Phillies game. I'd like to say I'm done as well. I don't want to discount their chances of making the postseason or count them out of it all. But this is an incredibly frustrating team to watch. Their bullpen is abysmal. Quite frankly, it's not fun to watch a game. And if I'm not enjoying the games, what the heck am I doing watching them? Sometimes it's better to take a step back from things.

You want abuse of power? I've suspended UTSU for an hour for the Eagles chant.

Q: What is worse than earning a save for protecting a five run lead? A: Earning a blown save, same situation. !#$%^

Because OaO threads are evil and discourage any real discussion, because you can't discuss a given topic for more than four hours until the next one comes up. If something doesn't deserve a thread, I'll determine that. CTDWAT trolls are annoying as hell. As far as I'm concerned, any legitimate topic of interest is fair game for its own thread.

Fantasy sports gives a person the opportunity to play general manager in their favorite sport. That is perfectly fine, a nice little diversion and an alternative method to enjoy your favorite sport. It becomes a problem when you waste real money on it or it becomes your overriding concern when watching a sporting event. The fact that a player is on my fantasy team never crosses my mind when watching a game. Other people's fantasy teams are entirely uninteresting to anyone else, and it's about time everyone realized that. If you find enjoyment talking to ANYONE about your team, stop. They don't care, and they are just being polite by not telling you to piss off immediately. Fantasy baseball programs are generally insufferable because of the aforementioned issue, and because many hosts get it ass-backwards. They understand fantasy baseball but not real baseball, so they will base advice based on inaccurate theories. It is uninteresting to the casual viewer/listener as well.

15 wins a season for eight years wouldn't get him to 300. Wakefield has no shot at the Hall of Fame. As for wins, 220 is a realistic goal. That would make him Charlie Hough.

Yes it does. Carry on.

I'd consider it tying the record if he threw no-hitters in consecutive starts. Mixing in some innings in relief would give him a run of the hitless innings record.

9/3: Hang Our Current Jury System
EVIL~! alkeiper commented on kkktookmybabyaway's blog entry in KK's Korner
I had jury duty last summer. Got picked for a DUI case that got settled out of court, so I didn't need to attend an actual trial. I was at the courthouse for 3 1/2 hours and got out of there in time to catch a 1:30 baseball game. -

One piece of advice I would give is that if writing to WWE or your cable company, make sure you maintain your professionalism. Don't badmouth the guys, be polite yet firm. -
ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

If you told me 13 years ago that Johnny Polo would win the ECW World title and WCW U.S. title, I would've issued a pity ban. You never know sometimes. -
I was on a cruise ten years ago that stopped in Nassau. Spent about 90 minutes there. I guess it would be more exciting if I sought more adult things to do, but the only thing that interested me was Wendy's. Really nice, upscale places for a few blocks, then abject poverty abounds. There are also a large number of junk cars on the island because it costs to much to remove them.

So I just noticed I have a missed call...
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in General Chat
If I get an unfamiliar number, don't answer and they don't leave a message, I don't see the point of calling back. If it was important they would leave a message. -
Would they have been better off going 2-2 against the Mets and then 3-1 afterwards instead of 1-3? I can see an argument that it wore out the bullpen, but the key runs in the last three losses were given up by guys not terribly overworked (i.e., not JC Romero or Brett Myers). As an aside, I fail to see what bringing up Kane Davis accomplishes. It doesn't make a difference to keep cycling crummy relievers. Davis has a 5.54 ERA in 98 career games. They need to bring up Julio Mateo, domestic abuse allegations and all. If not, why the hell did you even trade for the guy in the first place?

Gorilla always knew technical names for muscles and body parts. For what it's worth, he did have a degree in physical education and physiotherapy. -

During DiBiase's segment all I could think was, "dammit lady, he clearly would have gone higher. Learn to negotiate!" -
If we were going to revert to four divisions, I'd start with the 1993 divisions. The N.L. added Milwaukee and Arizona since, easy to go East/West on that. The American League added Tampa Bay, and they take Milwaukee's spot in the A.L. East. Simple and painless. For those scoring at home, AL East: New York, Boston, Baltimore, Toronto, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Detroit AL West: Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Texas, Kansas City, Minnesota, Chicago NL East: Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Florida, St. Louis, Chicago, Pittsburgh NL West: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Arizona, Colorado, San Diego, Cincinnati, Houston Ok, we still have that annoying Atlanta issue. Take them and Cincy, and flip them with Chicago and St. Louis.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
There's a lot of analysis based on speculation and hearsay. There may very well be other incidents factors besides what we've heard regarding Cryme Time's firing. -
What the hell happened to Daniel Bard? 78 BBs in 75.3 IP, with 27 wild pitches.

Was there a point to that? -
A bit of both. Pena is hitting nearly 25 points higher than his career average. Looking over his rate stats, there's no reason he couldn't have hit 25-35 home runs the last few years but could not earn a full time job. The power is there, but he can easily fall back to hitting .250.

I'd be nice if any caption pictures were funny.

I'm just copying the television listings from ESPN's schedule. It's probably regional Fox or something like that.
