stupid almost unreleated story, but I'll tell it anyway because Im bored. Christmas Night I went with my Mother and Father to Ocean City to see the lights that they put up every year. We went in my dad's truck. We get to the parking lot of the inlet (I doubt many will have a clue where Im talking about) and we were about to do the drive thru light thingy when we saw this girl, probably 18 or so, stuck in the sand off to the side of the lot. Her boyfriend was trying to dig the car out, but its beach sand and no ammount of digging was gonna help. My dad got out his cable and pulled her out of the sand. She said she swerved to miss a seagull and got stuck (..???????) in the sand and that we were the first people she had seen in 2 hours as it was around 9pm Christmas Night. My dad waited around for a thank you or something for a minute, didn't get one as they both got back in the car and left. My dad didn't say anything at the time, but he told me later that they were both drunk and if he had it to do over again he probably would have got back in the truck and left them there when he first smelled the girls breath asking if she wanted help. I doubt anyone would have showed up besides us as Ocean City was pretty much deserted ( A rare site indeed..)

Oakland has said Eric Chavez is the one position player they want to build around due to how young he is. They'll have the money to extend him with Jermaine Dye coming off the books. Oakland wont be able to match the money the Yankees would offer.

The crowd was one of the lamest crowds I've ever seen for a RAW. When Foley has a hard time getting a decent cheap pop out of the crowd, the crowd sucks. I don't know why you would go to a live televised wrestling event and sit on your hands for 2 hours and not do anything other than the occasional clap or cheer. If you wanna do that, save your money and watch it on TV. You could argue that a certain number of people were counting on Benoit showing up, but he got almost no pop and a small Benoit chant. Had it been anywhere else, I would assume the crowd would have gone nuts and Benoit would have had to say something like "Thank you.." about 10 times to get them to shut up long enough for him to do his bit.

So right now the Os 3B situation (All Star Utility guy Melvin Mora at 3rd) seems a bit better than the Yankees situation. Of course, this is all moot. The Yankees will scrounge this season out with whoever they can sign for a year and sign Eric Chavez next offseason. You know its gonna happen, especially now.

I love my big old ugly C Band dish. *pops some popcorn and gets ready for 24 in a few minutes* I also have the minimal Directv package with Fox East/West and NBC East/West distants. I have to get CBS and ABC over the air but they come in pretty clear. I pay around $40 for it all which isn't bad. Also, even in the snow/ice we got last night I didn't lose my signal which would have pissed me off since I ordered the Rumble. I think total in the last year I've lost my directv signal maybe 4 times due to weather, and 1 of them was during the hurricane but we lost electricty shortly after so it didn't matter.

Im pretty sure the two title matches will be: RAW: Benoit vs HHH Smackdown: Goldberg vs Lesnar They led into both of these matches too well last night. There are going to be a ton of 3 and 4 way matches just to get everyone involved in some fashion though.

Except for MNF and any sports that they might have, I dont watch anything on ABC. I couldn't even tell you whats on each night on ABC. Now, as for bringing back WWTBAM?..I'll probably watch it because I enjoyed the show, but its not going to do that well, even with the big $10 million prize. I also don't know why they would be putting it on at 10pm..

24 won best TV Drama which I surprised me a bit. And as for the Office winning best Comedy, theres probably some sort of conspiracy to either drive up the carriage rate of BBC America or to spark interest in the Americanized version of the show which will suck anyway. It says something about the lack of comedy on network tv's primetime..

I bet the dad taped porn in the middle of the night on the tape and didnt realize it was a blockbuster tape, but he has an out now to explain how it got there and maybe a couple free rentals or something to not sue. Of course all they would have to do is take a look at the tape and their vcr and they could tell if thats how it happened or not.

Upcoming week vs Celtics, the number of games favors me slightly.. 26-23 as I just went through and set my roster for the whole week.

Its probably just as well.. Im trying to stay til 4:30 am for SUPER BOWL XXXV highlights on the NFL Network. They've shown every other game at least twice since last night, but they haven't shown XXXV yet (even skipping from XXXIV to XXXVI once). Right now they are at the first dallas/buffalo game.
