I feel stupid for dropping Derek Anderson back in that trade for PJ Brown. The good news is that just after that trade I picked up Marcus Camby who's having a decent little season so far. 8 Blocks last night... And with Stoudemire back playing in Phoenix, I was worried that Joe Johnson might get pushed off to the side but that trade helped his cause out and maybe I wont have to worry about dumping him. I was going to dump Johnson when Wade comes back, but it looks like I might end up dumping Raja Bell.

Idea to salvage the piece of shit "WWE Originals"
MarvinisaLunatic replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, the real thing does come with a DVD, but of course its "Behind the Scenes with Stone Cold" for 30 minutes, 20 of which will probably be aired on Confidential tonight. And they aren't going to stick matches on a throwaway DVD when they can stick em on someones "Best of" compilation and sell it. -
Stores can get sued for releasing DVDs and stuff early, so I wouldn't make a big case out of it if they don't have it. Theres an FYE in the mall here, but I doubt they have it, and I wouldn't pay 5 bucks more for this than I did the Flair DVD ($25), its just not happening. I'll wait and hopefully someone will have it for around $18, which would still be too much technically for this since a majority of the 2nd disc is on the HK/CP DVD (which I got for 7 bucks at a Saturday Matinee going out of business sale in SC, ironically the same store I got the Flair DVD set, but I digress).

I liked this scientist who was on a while ago talking about why we need a base on the moon. He said, with a straight face, that it would be good for national security. Uh huh. Im still trying to figure that out. Maybe someone can explain that to me.

I dont really have a problem with this. Aside from the people who make fake money with famous people on the bill, there arent any good legal reasons why anyone should be able to scan money with a scanner. The people who make funny looking money should stick to $1 bills since the government really doesnt care about the $1 bill (or better yet, the $2 bill, since some people don't even know what a real $2 bill looks like). Of course, I don't know how well this will stop counterfeiting. There are other pieces of software that could be used (including previous versions of Photoshop) that would still allow you to do this. Plus, I cant imagine how many people who could afford Photoshop ($650) that would be counterfeiting money (although I know just about anyone can get pirate versions of it for free on the net, but thats another story).

Where do canceled TV shows go?
MarvinisaLunatic replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I have all of the aired episodes of Push, Nevada but they never aired all of the episodes and didn't even bother with trying to tie up the storyline. The only thing they worried about was giving away the money which they did. Id like to see that on DVD but I doubt it. I only saw part of an episode of Miracles and I thought it was good but they gave it a crappy timeslot. The Brilliant but Cancelled stuff on Trio is good, but it just makes things worse when they show 5 episodes of a show that was canceled and you dont have any easy ways to see any more eps. -
I figured they would do a RAW and Smackdown PPV each month that theres not a CO-Brand PPV. That would be 20 PPVs a year. The only way they could do that is if they sell both of em for $34.95 and they are 2 hours each (4 hours of PPV a month). It would be a better deal than what they have now.

Just picked up Eternal Darkness...
MarvinisaLunatic replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in Video Games
I paid $50 bucks for it when it came out and it was worth it. I dont know of a game that got so much great reviews and word of mouth yet sold so horribly. I really dont understand it. -
The only reason Im on my 2nd Gamecube is because my first one was stolen. The only thing even remotely wrong with my 2nd gamecube is that theres a scratch on the top disc thingy in the lid. OHHHH oh no a scratch! Whatever shall I do!!! The only Nintendo system I ever had that stopped working was the Original gameboy (purchased back in 1989). It managed to last until 1997 (conveniently when they started putting out the new GBs) when the screen wouldn't show anything on it. I also had my Game Boy stolen but the Police caught the dumb idiot robbing another house and got it back. It might have been from using an AC Adaptor to run it at home a lot and it being too much voltage or something, but I still think 8 years is a good amount of time.

well, the Os did need a catcher (signed Javy Lopez) and they did need a SS (signed Tejada), so for the most part so far thats not the case. They still plan on going after Ponson to improve the pitching a bit. IMO thats more needed than signing Palmeiro or Irod but we'll take em as they come.

The Mets have come up w/ a deal that exceeded the Oriole deal, 3 years guaranteed 30 mil, he has a complete out after 3 years to get to 13-15 mil he has to get 400 abs in the season, and the 4th and 5th are the same options. All incentive = 5 years 72 mil. But the standards are he has to get 400 Abs a year. 30 mil guaranteed, ability to walk away after the 3rd year, but options for the 4th and 5th year are on the table. The Mets deal actually is better than the Os deal as long as Vlad stays healthy the entire 5 years and takes the two option years after the 3rd.
-
The basic deal is that the Os have pretty much made thier final offer to Vlad for 5 years/$65 million. Vlad happens to want a 7 year/$105 million contract which the Os are not willing to do because of his back. Since the O's are the only team that could offer a long term deal and he turns them down, he's probably gonna get a 2-3 year deal. In fact, thats what the Mets have reportedly offered (3 years/$30 million). A lot of people believe that Vlad doesn't want to play in baltimore period, and will try to take the best offer on the table from some other team. So the Os would still have money to spend, and they feel that Irod is the next best available player. They figure that they can take the difference in money from the Vlad offer and the Irod offer and sign an OF next year (Magglio Ordonez or Carlos Beltran). This year Gibbons stays in RF, they might sign Palmerio to play 1rst (or Lopez said he might play 1B although I dont know much about that). They'll end up with 2 catchers who can switch duties with one DH'ing. The thought is that Lopez and Irod won't wear down as fast if they split time behind the plate and so they'll put up good numbers at the plate. I would consider that the Os offense would be majorly upgraged although I dont know how Irod and Lopez would feel about splitting time (Lopez always got skipped when Maddox pitched so it shouldn't bother him too much..) Personally, while I think it sucks that the Os probably won't get Vlad, if he doesn't want to play in Baltimore then so be it. I wouldn't have a problem with them signing Irod but I know a lot of Os fans are going to be pissed if they don't sign Vlad.

it would be less than $10.39 if he had to pay sales tax on what he bought... and as for the who pays for food with a check, he said it was a check card which can be used just like a credit card. I have a Bank of America Check card which can be used as a Visa card anywhere that takes credit cards and it takes the money out of your checking account.

Mick Foley's Greatest Hits & Misses DVD Question
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Elbarto997's topic in The WWE Folder
A good chunk of the 2nd DVD is already on his Cheap Pops DVD. The first disc would be awesome but I dunno if this is going to be as good as I had hoped. -
Who will be the Mystery Guest Entrant(s)

No one wants Sabu. -
Mo Vaughn officially announced that he has effectively "retired" from baseball, although hes going on the DL a la Albert Belle so the Mets can collect insurance on the contract. Oh yeah, the Orioles/Red Sox Opener has been moved up the first game of the year on ESPN (Sunday April 4, 8:05). I dont even remember if the Os were on ESPN at all last year so this is good news.

I almost forgot the biggest part of Smackdown....... THE TOP 3 BILLY GUNN MOMENTS! #3 was when he won the tag belts for the first time (Smoking Gunns). #2 is next week...

Well, you'll need to put another fan on it, otherwise it will overheat.

Some of you would be unfortunate to have to eat food on a meal plan. Meet the cook: And yes, I know thats Barth from You can't do that on Television. And no, Marv won't be cooking burgers out of vomit. I just like the picture...

Im thinking you had to spend it at some smaller mom and pop store type deal since most larger places would be listed by name instead of just the city.
-
You could have spent it at one of the restaurants on this list in Eden Prairie, MN or not..

We had to go over this in my mixology (fancy name for bartending) class. A list of Alcohol Contents by volume (double the number, drop the % for the Proof) Light beer 4% Regular beer 6% (May vary) Wine cooler 6% Dark beer 8% Wines 12-20% Amaretto 28% Kahlua 28% Tequila 40% Cognac 40% Drambui 40% Bourbon 43% Whiskey 43% Scotch 43% Vodka 43% Rum 43% Gin 43% Brandy 43% Everclear 95% Everclear is almost pure alcohol, and yes drinking it straight is dangerous and certainly wouldnt take much to do harm.
