Yeah dude, definately buy DVDs off the American Amazon site. They're always way cheaper than the Canadian version, plus the exchange rate works in our favour sometimes, plus you don't pay GST on it.

Is that not from the same episode as "I'm cold and there are wolves after me"? Man, that's a great episode. Yeah it's Cape Feare. I think it's the best Simpsons episode. It's also got the '9 rakes' gag, the 'Sideshow Bob getting trampled by a parade' gag, and Bob singing the whole score of The HMS Pinafore. And of course the previously mentioned 'Mr Thomson' bit.

That's some quality stuff right there.

The dude who hadn't kissed a girl clearly loves the cock. And his dad was really quite creepy. Also on one of the pre-commercial bumpers they totally played it up like they were boyfriends rather than father and son. Wierd. Also: "Brothers Forever" ruled all and Paula's dancing actually cracked me up.

Yeah but that's fuckin Fort Mac dude. That place exists in it's own world. Sure you can go there and make like $25 an hour at a Burger King but then yeah, you pay THAT in rent. And you're living up in the frozen tundra. I know so many people who I gradded from engineering with who've gone up there to get rich and none of them are planning on sticking around for more than a few years. So to the person who started this thread, I'd suggest Vancouver, BC. Or if you don't want a big city (though there's a lot of really nice areas around Vancouver) look at Victoria, BC. Housing's starting to get ridiculous in Victoria though. Also, I'd stay the fuck out of Alberta. But that's just me.

I really want to read this book but haven't had a chance to pick it up. I did read an excerpt where Slash tags along with a couple guys to a golf resort in Arizona where they're going to kick their drug habits, but ends up running naked and bloody through the resort in the middle of the day while being chased by miniature psychotic blue demons. So sounds pretty awesome.

Episode 2 had some great stuff. The best being Bunk's "This ain't Aruba bitch" was great on so many levels. And oh Jimmy what have you done?

I'm not too keen on DC stuff so please somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't this "mind-erasing" thing also happen in The Flash comics? I seem to recall that everybody knew that Wally West was the Flash but in some storyline something happened and suddenly everybody forgot or something of the like? If this is true then I don't see much reason to bitch about this since it already happened and to my knowledge nobody complained that time. Yeah he had Hal (when he was the Spectre) make people forget. But that was due to one of his bad guys knowing his ID resulting in the deaths of Wally's unborn twins. And I may be mistaken, but I don't think Wally ever publicly outed himself, but rather it was just that over the years enough of the Rogues had found out his ID. And before that Iron Man used a brainwashing satellite to erase people's memories of his ID. And Dr Strange mindwiped everyone once too so he could have a secret ID. And it's probably happened a bunch more before too but that doesn't make the Spiderman thing any less terrible. My big problem with how it went down was that it was just kind of an aside to the deal that really had nothing to do with anything else. Plus Spiderman publicly revealed himself and it was a huge deal that was supposed to be the way things were for Spiderman. And that was less than a year ago.

Yeah the Mr Burns one is: Jackie Bouvier: "I swear, Monty: you are the devil himself!" Burns: "Heh, I -- WHO TOLD YO......??" This works pretty well. At least for more popular stuff. I pretty much use a combination of it and bittorent for all my illegalz needs.

Caught the first episode and it's great to see it back, but yeah it's sad to know it's ending. Hell, I'm just happy we got 5 seasons of this show and they get to go out on their terms. Awesome first episode, wasn't disappointed at all. I wasn't sure if I'd be liking the newspaper stuff but I really dug it. Nailing the council president was awesome.

Look, I bet in the next year or two this whole thing is undone and Spiderman is back to the post clone saga status quo. There's already a few Deus Ex ways of doing it that they put in there: -The 'part of the soul' that remembers everything (or does that 'part of the soul' only remember the marriage and not the other random changes they just decided to make) -Whatever Mary Jane whispered into Mephisto's ear. -The fact that they are some 'holy love' that only comes around every millennium or some shit like that. -God -Wolverine -It's Magic I betcha Marvel has some Crisis type event lined up to fix up the timeline.

The twins was a bad idea period, but Gwen FUCKING NORMAN OSBOURNE was the worst possible choice they could have ever made. And so now with this Mephisto deal haven't they just completely "re-jiggered" the whole Marvel universe with these timeline changes? As JMS pointed out, now they can make any continuity change they want and blame it on the "ripples" from this. This is essentially their "Prime punching the universe." And if what was revealed in House of M holds true then Wolverine's brain should have a problem with this. Oh, and one more point. Didn't they swear up and down that the identity reveal was staying and was the new status quo?

I haven't paid attention in months so as long as we're on that subject, what happened to the black suit he started using after May was shot?

I gotta say I have a bunch more respect for JMS now that it's come out that the kids being Osbourne's wasn't something he wanted to do but an editorial decision.

Crazy crazy ending right there. But I guess Quesada got his wish of ending the marriage without death/divorce. Anyone else notice Peter's got his old non-organic web shooters back on the last page? So what I can't figure out is whether the Spiderman comics are now told in the past (it sure seemed like it with Peter still living with aunt May and all)?

It wasn't directed by Apatow, he was one of the writers and producers. But you're right on in that the trailers didn't make it look like one of the Apatow movies (40YO Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad) but rather more along the lines of Dodgeball or Blades of Glory. Which, without Will Ferrell, is not going to be nearly as successful as one of the other Apatow ones. In fact, I'll bet anything that if WIll Ferrell was there instead of John C it would have made #1. Edit: Shit it's Rated R? Well there's your answer right there.
