  1. Hey VX I'm still mulling over your trade. I need to a contingency plan for 3B myself first.
  2. Discuss it in the Hall of Fame thread.
  3. The last poster, pre-Dandy derailment, was Luke-O. Here's our next contestant. I'm also running somewhat low on poster info, so if you haven't sent me 5 items yet, do it soon.
  4. Naturally, there would be a group of guys wearing ties. But I'm also envisioning free t-shirts for everyone.
  5. First we would need to have the TSM Convention, where all of us could meet and wear nametags with our poster names on them.
  6. I was a non-soda guy for years, but have Diet Pepsi back into my rotation. I find regular, non-diet soda to be a bit sugary/syrupy for my tastes. The choice to go diet has little or nothing to do with the caloric value of the product. As far as Chinese Democracy is concerned, it's never coming out. I saw G n R live about 16 months ago and there more than enough tracks to cobble together an album. There's nothing more to do, which made me finally realize that Axl will never let this thing see the light of day.
  7. I don't get why this would be a spoiler. It's obvious that they will do something for Flair tonight and the inclusion of Arn/Tully/Windham is something that should be advertised. The type of fans who care about tradition and nostalgia and all that jazz probably need to know those guys will be there before they tune in.
  8. That more or less reads like one wrestler being jealous over the special perks that Rock gets. For a guy in the business, the Rock's whole act is probably nauseating at this point, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Johnson has done anything inappropriate.
  9. No. Hogan is in many respects the most successful professional wrestler of all time. It's ridiculous to think that anyone could have matched his success, especially a guy like Idol.
  10. I disagree. The only thing even halfway memorable from that entire show is the Hart-Yoko-Hogan title debacle. I don't think it was good for the belt or the company, but from a historical point of view it is something unique. Had Hart retained it would have been a Mania filled with bad matches, a heatless main event and no memorable moments. I'll take screwed up over boring every day of the week.
  11. That bio had some fun info, but I also remember it having glaring holes and egregious mistakes concerning timelines and his career in general.
  12. I say we bring back of fanofcoils to do a weekly movie review.
  13. He could, but the issue will always be whether or not he outshines the guy he is managing. Flair's so good at talking and getting heat that he runs the risk or marginalizing the guy he's there to help out.
  14. Thanks for everyone's help and cooperation during the ownership/mod changes of the last week or so. I think there have been a lot of positive changes in the wrestling folders and discussion and interest seems to be on the rise. Some people were crediting me for that change. Really, there is no need for that. I didn't do anything other than some housecleaning. It's the posters bringing the quality. Anyways, I'd like to keep this thread open and used for discussion regarding the state of the folder. Use it for ideas or comments about the future. I am still trying to sort out some of the issues since the closing of the General Discussion thread. I've had an idea for a couple of new threads, but I wanted to toss them up for discussion first. I don't want the new folder to get cluttered with unnecessary topics. 1. "Newsbits Only Thread" - This thread would essentially function in the place of the minor newsbits that would show up in General Discussion. The thread would be used for minor news only... no discussion. If the item warrants more discussion, a separate thread could be opened. 2. "New School Questions Thread" - Think of this as the alter ego of the massively popular Old School Questions Thread in General Wrestling. Posters who no longer stay current on the wrestling scene could pop in with questions and get things clarified. Would also help cut down on the bumping of old threads.
  15. I bet it's cold as fuck in Alaska. Cheers.
  16. I have both as well, but tend to prefer Myspace for my everyday needs. I graduated college about 5 years ago and so most of the people in my age group missed out on the Facebook craze. It's the easiest and tidiest to use, but the applications nonsense is tiresome. Myspace is a disaster as far as interface is concerned, but the majority of people I know have accounts. So if I need to get a hold of someone that's usually the best resource. Overall, at 26 I find little need for either of them in my life.
  17. Steroid use can cause the hair to thin out. HHH appeared to be heavily juicing at the time of the Michaels match. It's not out of the question that his hair would gain some of its body back now that he is supposedly off the heavy stuff.
  18. Wait to take the initiative Dandy.
  19. In the future, please provide a link to the artice instead of c/p someone else's content.

  21. Please use the newest thread for DVD discussion.
  22. Gerald Green is what we like to call basketball retarded. He doesn't know where to stand on the floor, he can't play consistent D, he stares out the video board when he should be going for the ball. Going to college wouldn't help that one bit. Maybe some college coach would have been able to reach him, but 5 assitants working double time in Boston couldn't. Had he gone to college, his athleticism and pure talent would have separated him and made him look more attractive to NBA scouts. It would not have solved his apathy or basketball IQ. I read an article somewhere that stated that one scout remarked that he wouldn't have taken Green in the first or second round after his pre-draft workouts. That says something about his mental make-up.
  23. The Cardinals certainly have the hitting to compete and the pitching is not as awful as some might think. I've got them sitting around 4th or 5th in that division, but things could swing their way. In the middle of the order they have Pujols, Ankiel, Glaus and Duncan. Those guys could easily contribute 30 homers each. The rest of the order is filled with marginal hitters with bad OBP, but as long as the middle of the order is hot it's enough. Granted, Pujols and Glaus have to stay healthy and the others have to keep mashing. The pitching is questionable, but in the right scenario Carpenter and Clement make mid-season comebacks, Wainwright keeps up his good act and Reyes taps into his vast potential. This is considerably less likely than the hitting being good, but never underestimate this team's knack for getting good pitching performances out of marginal talent. Perfect world and all that, but they could compete. They certainly aren't out of the picture on Opening Day.
  24. Yes, the RoH PPV thing is something I find funny even if it is stretching the truth.
  25. One year of ballroom dancing and Western Civ is hardly anything to fall back on. Several million dollars in the bank is. If you are good enough to play in the NBA, you should be in the NBA, age be damned. Players have a much better chance to mature and develop their game with NBA coaches, constant practice and an 82 game schedule. Practing 30 hours a week against 6'2" white guys who are going to be YMCA regulars in a year is not the way to develop and mature as a player.
