    Rico:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Rico the first man to win WWE tag titles TWICE as a mystery partner? (by WWE tag titles, I mean the 'World' and/or the SD! tags.) He's also the second man to win the World, THEN the WWE tags (first being Benoit). EDIT: Rico's actually the 3rd man to do that; Edge won the World tags many times, then the WWE tags at No Mercy 02.
  2. Moves like the atomic drop, test of strength, abdominal stretch, Indian deathlock, and the regular Boston crab. Curfew draws. Hourlong broadways. When they would have standby matches in case the ME ran short. Matches that ran for the remainder of the alloted TV time. It's odd how all the RAW MEs never seem to go much past 11:07, isn't it?
  3. http://www.christiananswers.net/dictionary/mordecai.html Mordecai the son of Jair, of the tribe of Benjamin It has been alleged that he was carried into captivity with Jeconiah, and hence that he must have been at least one hundred and twenty-nine years old in the twelfth year of Ahasuerus (Xerxes). But the words of Esther do not necessarily lead to this conclusion. It was probably Kish of whom it is said (ver. 6) that he "had been carried away with the captivity." He resided at Susa, the metropolis of Persia. He adopted his cousin Hadassah (Esther), an orphan child, whom he tenderly brought up as his own daughter. When she was brought into the king's harem and made queen in the room of the deposed queen Vashti, he was promoted to some office in the court of Ahasuerus, and was one of those who "sat in the king's gate" (Esther 2:21). While holding this office, he discovered a plot of the eunuchs to put the king to death, which, by his vigilance, was defeated. His services to the king in this matter were duly recorded in the royal chronicles. Haman (q.v.) the Agagite had been raised to the highest position at court. Mordecai refused to bow down before him; and Haman, being stung to the quick by the conduct of Mordecai, resolved to accomplish his death in a wholesale destruction of the Jewish exiles throughout the Persian empire (Esther 3:8-15). Tidings of this cruel scheme soon reached the ears of Mordecai, who communicated with Queen Esther regarding it, and by her wise and bold intervention the scheme was frustrated. The Jews were delivered from destruction, Mordecai was raised to a high rank, and Haman was executed on the gallows he had by anticipation erected for Mordecai (6:2-7:10). In memory of the signal deliverance thus wrought for them, the Jews to this day celebrate the feast (9:26-32) of Purim (q.v.).
  4. As you wish (although Hogan's came first in the show): Hulk Hogan: You know something Mean Gene, you don't have to remind me and my Hulkamaniacs that at Skydome we're gonna face the Ultimate Challenge brother. When we crossed the border from the United States of America to Canada I was hovering over Skydome brother, I saw what was beneath me man. I saw the greatest arena of all times, where the Ultimate Challenge will take place...and as we landed brother, nothing but star-craving Hulkamaniacs were there to great me at the airport. Nothing but positive vibes man. Hulkamania is running wild like it's never ran before! But the Ultimate Warrior, you must realize that when you step into Skydome, when you feel the energy that is gonna run wild throughout the arena, those are my people. That's my energy, brother, and Ultimate Warrior, this is where the power lies, man and the power of the Hulkster, the largest arms in the world and once I get you down on your knees Ultimate Warrior, I'm gonna ask you one question brother. I'm gonna ask you: do you want to live forever? And if your answer is yes, Ultimate Warrior, then breathe your last breath into my body. I can save ya, my Hulkamaniacs can save ya. We can turn the darkness that you live in into the light. We can save all your little warriors with the training, the prayers, and the vitamins. But I gotta prove one thing to all my little Hulkamaniacs out there, it's not whether you win or whether you lose, the only thing that matters is what kind of winner you are or what kind of loser you are and Ultimate Warrior I sure hope you're a good loser brother. Whatcha ya gonna do at Skydome when the largest arms in the world and Hulkamania destroys you?
  5. Ultimate Warrior (interrupting): Ahhhhh..you are nothing but a normal, you don't deserve to breathe the same air that I and Hulk Hogan do! Hulk Hogan, I must ask you now as you asked me, do you, Hulk Hogan, want your ideas, your beliefs to live forever? For Hulk Hogan, in this normal world physically none of us can live forever. But the places you have taken the Hulkamaniacs, the ideas and beliefs that you have given them can live through me, Hulk Hogan. That is why I breathe, that is why the Warriors have come. Hulk Hogan, there are ones that question where you are taking them. Do you no longer want to walk or step into that darkness? Hulk Hogan, that darkness I speak of is nothing of fear. It is about the beliefs...of accepting any and all challenges at the cost of losing everything, Hulk Hogan. You have lived, Hulk Hogan, for the last 5 Wrestlemanias for this one belief. Now, Hulk Hogan, I come to take what you believe in further then you ever could. I come Hulk Hogan, not to destroy the Hulkamaniacs and Hulkamania. I come, Hulk Hogan, to bring the Warriors and Hulkamaniacs together as one as we, Hulk Hogan, accept all the challenges with all the strength of the Warriors and Hulkamaniacs together. Hulk Hogan, the colors of the Hulkamaniacs are coming through the pores of my skin...and Hulk Hogan, when we meet, Hulk Hogan, I will look at you and you will realize then that I have come to do no one no harm, but only, Hulk Hogan, to take what we both believe in to places it shall never have been.
  6. Well, I'm sure there was a lot else planned for him to do (speech, etc.) But the tributes ran long, and the ME and the Austin segment got drastically cut as a result.
  7. I'd like someone to explain why they couldn't be brought to SD! to liven up the tag division. They look like they're in about the same shape they were in when last we saw them (1996) and it's safe to assume they can still go (they never had big movesets to begin with, after all). markout value + different style than most other SD! tag teams + probably work cheaper = FUCKING HIRE THEM!
  8. Well, we still learned that Benjamin was the first black competitor to beat HHH in a singles match in nearly four years. What does that mean? I dunno, seeing as how there really weren't too many black guys for HHH to feud with. Godfather, Mark Henry, D-Von....that's about it, and all of those guys have always been lower on the card than he has. Here's another interesting question I just thought of: When was the last time The Undertaker lost a singles match to a black wrestler?
  9. When was this?
  10. Well, if he's dead then they should jack them UP. (cf. Mike Von Erich merch in WCCW after his death)
  11. http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1260522 Shades of Bill Apter (or Scoop Sullivan) in this new story. Thoughts?
  12. FUN FACT: 31 total non-production songs have been used by WWE as PPV theme songs. 4 by Drowning Pool (SSlam 01, Vengeance 01, WMX8, WMXX) 3 by Saliva (NM01, WMX8, SSeries 02) 3 by Limpbizkit (WMX7, WMXIX, SSeries 03) 2 by Puddle of Mudd (SSeries 01, Rumble 04) 2 by trustCompany (Vengeance 02, Rumble 03) 1 by AC/DC, Marilyn Manson, Kid Rock, Rob Zombie, Creed, 12 Stones, Neurotica, Gavin Rossdale, Evanescence, Cold, Trapt, Staind, Metallica, Sevendust, Dope, Rey Misterio Jr., and Edgewater
  13. I only heard about it on the bus on the was to HS. It was part of an ABC News broadcast and it started with "At a [WWF] pay-per-view last night..." I perked up, seeing as how it was kind of unusual that WWE PPVs results would be mentioned on the news. As soon as the announcer said it, I just sat frozen in shock. That's pretty much how the whole day went for me. During RAW is Owen I tried to keep a straight face, but as soon as they showed big, tough badass Mark Henry crying [when everyone was on the ramp] I just lost it. I wouldn't be surprised if the WWE still has one of those tapes; remember, the WWE keeps copies of EVERYTHING to ever occur during their televised events since the mid-80s. About the only thing they don't have is video of Santana's IC Title victory in 1982(?), and that's because the footage was apparently accidentally destroyed. With that said, why the hell did Nitro even bother to go on? You'd think they could have even bumped it back to Tuesday night instead of going head-to-head with RAW.
  14. Dayton's Hara Arena also got WCW Souled Out 98. You know who hasn't gotten a show in a while? Wheeling, WV and Tupelo, MS (1999 and 1997 respectively).
  15. Hey, don't knock the new Evo T-shirt. Here's a clear pic of it:
  16. The same reason there were 2 shows in MA last year: big enough fanbases for both of them. This will be Columbus' first PPV since KOTR02 and Cleveland's first PPV since InVasion 01.
  17. I guess that the addition of the GAB and Havoc shows explains why Vengeance and Armageddon are switching brands; this new setup WILL give both brands an equal # of shows in 04. RAW: BLash, Bad Blood, Vengeance, Unforgiven, Havoc = 5 SD!: NWO, JDay, GAB, No Mercy, Armageddon = 5 Split: Rumble, WM, SSlam, SSeries = 4

Also, isn't Vengeance still a SD! show?
  19. There's only 7 matches so far. What do you think will be added to the card on Heat?
  20. I thought the WWE had their own light/setup crew who did ALL the shows, like roadies for bands. I thought they only purchased the part from the European supplier and the WWE crew set up the harness system themselves.
  21. So what you're saying is that the WWE had no idea that the harness wouldn't hold his weight. So the harness manufacturers either lied or gave incorrect information to the WWE? (Not accusing you, just want to make totally sure that's what you mean to say.)
  22. They BETTER name this new show WWE Superstars. Just saying.
  23. The Mable vs. Moe submissions match from Memphis TV a few months back was WAY better than I expected... about **1/2. M.O.M. at war makes me very sad Here's a link to that full episode of Memphis Wrestling.
