  1. Well, all Alliance WCW trademarks and merchandise were the property of 'WCW, Inc.' located at WWE's corporate address, so they'll probably just do something like that (i.e. make a dummy corporation and run it through that).
  2. I have a doppelganger?!? -HFP (Slickster)
  3. I believe so, with the exception of the theme music.
  4. I've always been a mark for Rhyno and it's good to see that he's gotten over on TV, despite how crappy he's booked. Nice thread title, btw.
  5. Yeah, definitly not shocking.... Just really really sickening. So, uh, Bush can POINT directly to a major instance of leadership he had --- but that's exploiting? That makes as much sense as confusing a question about a voting record for an attack on one's patriotism or military service. -=Mike Oh, he can TALK about it..... but if his ads are going to be like the rest of this post, then it's overkill. 9/11NEVER FORGETREMEMBERFIGHT FOR FREEDOMGOD BLESS THE USABUSH FREEDOM FIGHTER SAVED US VOTE BUSH NOW

  7. Because you touch yourself at night.
  8. Yurple, you mean.
  9. To be fair, none of this has been proven as of yet.
  10. What about Austin's new Confederate flag T-shirt?
  11. I believe Starblazer was some local indy guy who they brought in and jobbed to Mike Rotundo at a Clash. That was the last anybody heard of him. And c/o Lee Relph from 1wrestling.com.... "[The WCW Bruise Cruise was] an opportunity for the fans to mingle with the WCW wrestlers on an ocean liner for a few days. The WWF tried it a couple of times in the late 90's, calling theirs...wait for it...The Wrestle Vessel!"
  12. Well, highlights will probably be shown at WMXX, Rose will come out, Kane will come out, chokeslam, pyro, match with Taker begins. Just like WMXIV, basically.
  13. You're absolutely right, the risks are greater. I can't possibly deny that. But I'd just like to remind everyone that people aren't forced to do backyard wrestling...people consent to do this and know the risks involved.
  14. You forgot the sarcasm tags.
  15. Brian Adams.
  16. The whole purpose of PPV themes is to push an up-and-coming band.
  17. The first two were used and see my 1st post in this thread as to why the 3rd one won't be chosen.
  18. As someone at Fark pointed out, Clinton was paid to appear at his induction at the Civil Rights Museum.
  19. Here's a better comparison: it's like baseball. Some guys live their lives trying to make it to the big leagues. They see it as a lifestyle. Others just have fun with it and play against their friends or in local leagues. They see it as a hobby. I haven't heard pros call non-pros a 'black mark' on baseball just because they don't want to play in MLB.
  20. This is the best PR move WWE could make to make people care about the HOF. Fark's reporting on it, ESPN's got a story on it....and without adding Rose, most WRESTLING fans wouldn't have given a damn about the HOF inductions. EDIT: They should add in a video package explaining that all members of the WCW Hall of Fame are part of the WWE HOF as well. That way, they won't have to re-induct Solie, Thesz, Funk, et al. Fun fact: Harley Race will become the second man to be inducted into both the WCW and WWE Halls of Fame, the first being Ernie Ladd.

  22. You make some good points, but I already talked about those things earlier in this thread. Quoting from my earlier posts: But yeah, I'm glad to see that you've got some ideas for how to dissociate ourselves from 'BYW.' Thanks for your input!
  23. The preceding two 'comparisons' of BYW to other things are misleading. Being a vet or a military officer are service positions...people expect you to do work for them and they trust your superior knowledge. Backyard wrestling is a hobby. By the logic you two employ, would someone who taught themselves a language or how to play a guitar be a 'backyard student' or a 'backyard guitarist' and then be shunned and laughed at? Somehow, I doubt it.
  24. Yeah, I know that you're a teen getting formal training to be a pro wrestler and I respect that; a lot of guys aren't so lucky. But I was just trying to debunk the common misconceptions that: -BYWers aren't trained -that all BYW is is one big homage to New Jack. And I was trying to provide proof to back up my claims, lest TheMikeSC walk in here and try and crap on me.
  25. Absolutely. BYW Inc. copyrighted the term 'Backyard Wrestling' and have portrayed it as sub-human bloodsport. That game had more in common with MK:DA then with HCTP.
