  1. I'd fire Mark Lloyd and put Gene on Smackdown B-Team.
  2. Perhaps this is another step in their current attempts to make wrestling seem more real. With this move, every WWE-made show will be in kayfabe, which is a step in the right direction IMO.
  3. Why should he care about TNA's welfare?
  4. Please, God! (I'm a mark for old-school WCW events)
  5. Plus, it makes sense for All-American Kurt Angle (as GM) to pick this name for the show. That, and they have the US Title. WWE still lists it as June 27-SmackDown! Pay Per View-Norfolk, Va.
  6. Actually, I think the turnaround IS about a month, so the 6/27 show could be out in late July. Isn't that about right, Zach?
  7. I'm surprised too...perhaps they felt this experimental show needed a recognizable name in order for people to weed it out from all the other generic PPV names. Also, the Bash legacy was already kinda tarnished by the Jericho-Dean screwjob, the Sting-Doberman incident, and the Human Torch match, so it's not that big a deal.
  8. *marks the fuck out*
  9. I never said it was a great gimmick. I just said that he knew it would get him on TV, which is every wrestler's goal.
  10. This proves how much of a mind for the business Dinsmore has. He knew that when his raw wrestling ability got him nowhere, an over-the-top and controversial gimmick would get him called up to the big time. My hat's off to him.
  11. He's pretty much the reason I started this post. Him and Siaki. I think a mid-card title could help further establish them as stars, as throwing Harris in the title picture seemed a little odd when I first saw it. I will agree, though, that bringing it in at this very moment might not be the best thing. He held it in, I believe, 1999 during Russo's sub-moronic NWA-invasion angle. -=Mike He won the vacant title on 12/30/97 by beating Barry Windham. Reckless Youth voluntarily gave it up the day before. He vacated it on 3/2/98 and it was won 5 months later by The Colorado Kid.
  12. Hell yes. I do now, in fact. *THUMP* ...I hit my head on the table!
  13. Ca ne marche pas.
  14. Odd, seeing as how Drowning Pool's album comes out on 4/20 (after Backlash, which is why WWE picks the song so people remember to buy the album after the show). Yet they used their 'Punisher Soundtrack' song first. Edgewater was also on the 'Punisher Soundtrack,' but their album came out on 4/6. For maximum marketability, they should have flip-flopped the two and made Edgewater the theme song for WM and vice versa.
  15. not McDonald's, but Electronic Arts (the makers of the game).
  16. Also, Kurt Angle did that with the European and Intercontinental titles during his brief reign as Euro-Continental Champion in early 2000. I tried to find a photo of Kurt wearing the stacked belts, but all I could find were these priceless pics of him with the 2 titles separately:
  17. That's what FSN is. It's like saying "I don't get NWA shows, but I watch Wildside and TNA."
  18. That sounds kinda funny. CORINO: I'm now 'the King of Old Sc...' *gets hit in head with chair by Balls Mahoney*
  19. Zach is so overjoy that he finally lose his virginity ...to Stephanie's mouth, apparently.
  20. Yeah, I'll miss Terri (and her nipples) too.
  21. **points to self**
  22. Actually, WWE Superstars is still airing in Europe.
  23. Yeah, the name was controversial. However, the name _is_ a fitting one for our first quarterly supercard. Our other big shows will be: Revenge (6/27) Scorn (9/26) Meltdown (12/30)
  24. A 60 minute backyard match? I can hardly fathom how awful that could be. 1,000 thumbtacks 23 table spots 15 barbwire bumps 200 light tubes used 8 fire tables Actually, no weapons AT ALL are used. The last match on the card, however, is a different story.
  25. Thoughts?
