  1. I preferred the Attitude belt with the oldschool WWF logo (which was used from 3/30/98 until the advent of the Smoking Skull belt).
  2. there is no PPV in OCtober, there's two in November. Taboo Tuesday and Survivor Series. Not really important since you're going to SummerSlam anyway, but yeah. and if that Calendar is correct, that means that Raw gets Unforgiven adn Smackdown gets Taboo Tuesday, which means That there would be 10 Raws inbetween Unforgiven and Survivor Series. That's a long time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Smackdown has No Mercy in Mid-October. Taboo Tuesday is a Raw show again this year. WWE posted a full list of 2005 PPV's on the website earlier in the year, plus included a list in one of the DVD releases, possibly WrestleMania 21. The site for No Mercy hasn't been decided yet, but the WWE is in the Texas area in early-to-mid October, I believe, so I'm thinking possibly Houston, or Phoenix, AZ, or something similar . . . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I think it's odd that no PPV site has been booked for the 10/9 No Mercy show, yet arenas have been booked for Unforgiven, TTuesday, and SSeries. EDIT: WWE is giving away tickets to No Mercy through Houston radio stations. Ergo, No Mercy will be October 9 in Houston, TX at the Toyota Center. PPV Calendar updated.
  3. Hey, that's what I get for going from memory. Thanks for the clarifications/corrections.
  4. He was Billy White Wolf??? Wow, I feel dumb for not knowing THAT one.
  5. Very interesting story from the Million Dollar Man. Too bad I can't read that without expecting him to burst into maniacal laughter at the end of it. Out of curiosity, does anyone have a recent pic of Ted DiBiase?
  6. This is how they can placate the smarks by putting up fluff disguised as 'insider' stuff.
  7. Well, then again no one had the Internet, so it's not like people in Boston knew what happened at the latest MSG shows. Pre-Internet, you could afford to pair some people to go around the horn for months and it was fresh in every city. Heck, even *with* the Internet, Goldberg beat The Giant on over 15 house show cards during his 1998 run.
  8. Two questions: 1. Who was Cloudy, the infamous 'valet' of the Body Donnas in 1996? 2. Who was General Adnan, Sgt. Slaughter's manager during the 'Iraqi sympathizer' angle?
  9. Yeah, basically. Just another face in the nWo beatdowns and the only nWo guy you'd see on Worldwide or Pro.
  10. Speaking of Cohasset, they get a July 31 RAW house show headlined by Edge-Cena and HBK-Flair.
  11. Well, I assume they want to keep having major cities host their Big 4 PPVs, and Detroit hadn't had a PPV since Vengeance 2002. WCW made the mistake of not rotating their PPVs to the point where by 1997 SuperBrawl, and all their August-December PPVs were held in the same place each year, which tended to limit interest among fans who lived far from those host cities. And if you're wondering where these PPVs were repeatedly held: SuperBrawl: Cow Palace, San Francisco, CA (1996-2000) Great American Bash: Baltimore/1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, MD (1998-2000) Road Wild: Sturgis Rally and Races, Sturgis, SD (1996-1999) Fall Brawl: Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, NC (1995-1999) Halloween Havoc: MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, NV (1996-2000) World War 3: The Palace at Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, MI (1997, 1998) Starrcade: MCI Center, Washington, DC (1997-2000)
  12. No cities confirmed for No Mercy, Armageddon, or New Year's Revolution.
  13. DDP lost and re-won the title on a May '99 Nitro in Fargo.
  14. WrestleManias 2 and 13 were in Chicago.
  15. August 21, 2005 Washington, D.C. SummerSlam September 18, 2005 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Unforgiven November 1, 2005 San Diego, California Taboo Tuesday November 27, 2005 Detroit, Michigan Survivor Series January 29, 2006 Miami, Florida Royal Rumble April 2, 2006 Chicago, Illinois WrestleMania XXII
  16. SF and Phoenix in the same day? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Matinee show in the afternoon, then an evening show, probably.
  17. Quick results from yesterday's RAW house show in Watertown, NY: Viscera defeated Rene Dupree via pinfall after a choke powerbomb in about 6 minutes; before the match Rene Dupree interrupted the national anthem WWE IC Champion Carlito defeated Rob Conway and Shelton Benjamin in a triple threat elimination match in about 12 minutes; Shelton Benjamin eliminated Conway via a T-bone suplex; Carlito pinned Shelton after a low blow Christy Hemme defeated Victoria via pinfall in about 4 minutes after a split-legdrop; after the match Victoria attacked Christy, dragged her back to the ring, and executed the Widow's Peak Kurt Angle defeated Eugene via submission to the anklelock in about 15 minutes; this was their first-ever match against each other Kane defeated Edge (w/Lita) via pinfall after a chokeslam in about 10 minutes World Tag Team Champions Rosey and The Hurricane defeated The Heart Throbs via pinfall in about 8 minutes when Rosey pinned Romeo after a double-team Eye of The Hurricane The Big Show defeated Chris Masters via disquaification in about 8 minutes when Masters used a chair on The Big Show; before the match, Big Show offered Masters $50,000 if Masters were to defeat him; after the match, Big Show punched the chair into Masters' face then executed a chokeslam WWE Champion John Cena defeated Chris Jericho via pinfall in about 15 minutes after an F-U; during the match Gene Snitsky interfered and hit Cena with a big boot
  18. Yeah, now you could run Batista-Taker and have Brock run in at the end to setup for No Mercy.
  19. Evidently, her backstage attitude pisses people off. I've heard she would have been fired in July if they hadn't put her on the GAB promotional poster.
  20. Warrior will get no $$ from this DVD. Apparently, he wanted to advert for his shoot interview inside the DVD case, but Vince said no (since it would benefit Warrior far more than it would benefit WWE). So this whole DVD set is being done without his cooperation. It includes bloopers from his interviews and WWE stars doing their best Warrior impressions as extras.
  21. Was the bWo's challenge shown on the air on this week's show?
  22. I'd have Hassan WIN at the GAB, then come out this Tuesday as Mark Magnus, who hates this country even MORE because he fooled all the fans for 7 months pretending to be Arab-American. Basically, spin the last 7 months of Hassan's character as a 'Black Like Me'-inspired experiment to see what it would be like to be an Arab-American in the WWE. His findings? That WWE fans all across the globe are racist and prejudiced against Arab-Americans. Then, have Magnus rant about how now WWE and UPN are forbidding him to work with Daivari, how he can't have his old music, how he's being held down EVEN MORE now that he's revealed the truth. Now, the only way he can set things right in the WWE is to take Batista's title at SSlam.
  23. They teamed for a Nitro against Hart/Hogan, but he only feuded with Hogan and left in 11/98.
  24. ------- If it's Crow Sting, then it's footage of Sting retaining the WCW European Cup over Kevin Nash at the 'WCW Millennium Final' German PPV in November of 2000. If it's Surfer Sting, then it could be him celebrating WCW winning the World Cup of Wrestling over NJPW at Starrcade 1995. I say this because both celebration ceremonies are similar (confetti, a big trophy, etc.)
  25. Actually, I believe the 1991 Battlebowl was indeed booked on the fly. EDIT: Well, Scott Keith says that he was mistaken in believing that, but then again Scott Keith isn't always credible.
