  1. anything by the Beastie Boys...don't get me wrong, I like some of their tunes, i have a couple CDs, but I don't understand why they get huge love? is it because they're the first big-time white rappers or does their music really hype people up that much? it seems like whenever they come out with a new CD, the music world drops to it's knees and starts sucking them off...
  2. I'll go with the poster that mentioned Metallica earlier...I started liking them from the Black album on, not too fond of earlier stuff, though there are a few songs that do rock... i like some NSync and Backstreet Boy tunes, would that count in this thread? I like Silverchair's "Diorama" I like Creed, although "Weathered" wasn't the greatest Transformers the Movie Soundtrack gets regular play in my CD players, is that one widely disliked?
  3. get ready for pain then! i have a friend with the Queen of Hearts on her back, she told me she passed out several times...
  4. that's actually pretty cool sounding (if you're being serious)... on a side note: I'm glad to see in every thread that's started you get the usual posters that provide their oh-so-witty, relevant-to-the-thread feedback...
  5. Sorry, I'm bored and this popped into my mind...any of you guys have one or some? Where at on your body? did it hurt or no? I have two...the Decepticon symbol on my right arm (upper, on the side) and my daughters' name scrolling vertically down the left arm (also upper, on the side) in funky lettering... both hurt, the pain wasn't horrible, but it was rather annoying...most people say the outline hurts worse than the coloring but man my coloring freaking hurt ten times more than the outlining...my skin is lighter (i'm fairly light skinned) but the artists had tough times with the coloring for both tattoos...my decepticon symbol took 3 times to color, purple is hard to get right on my skin complexion and all 3 times were fucking painful... anyone else?
  6. i don't care about cycling but i think Armstrong is a tough motherfucker to do the shit he's done...that's too bad if it's true...but if it hasn't hurt Bonds yet, it won't hurt him...
  7. folks, I think the main question of tonight's game has to be....what the HELL is Tom Tolbert wearing???
  8. i suppose, al, but they sure do sell it well...basically for me, the NBA isn't interesting enough to follow if my team isn't doing shit, which the Knicks haven't been doing for about 3 or 4 years now...but i'm glad i have you guys to set me straight!
  9. Rip, it doesn't matter, even if the Pistons finish out this series at home, everyone will still say it was because the laker's lost their smiles, not because the pistons are basically kicking the shit outta them...
  10. Bret Hart/Steve Austin-had you convinced these guys really hated each other...i don't recall there being a blowoff to this one either, am i wrong? HBK/Bret Hart-these guys really DID hate each other but were civil enough in the ring to pull out great and contraversial matches... best. fueds. ever. well for the WWE anyway...96/97 was a good year, IMO simply because of those two fueds...i get all giddy and joyful when i pop in those tapes...
  11. isn't that essentially what they're sending? other than Tim Duncan, most of those guys are highlight reels and basketball shoe commercial stars (guys known better for dunking and fingerrolls/layups and looking pretty rather than all the intangibles), though Rip and Ben may change that...
  12. so that guy is directing it? this movie has the potential to be good and bad at the same time! Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, and Resident Evil: all good movies yet also bad movies, i guess the good would be the visuals and action, the bad being the plots and acting...

    I,MAX

further proof Max has no idea what he's talking about...
  14. Atlanta is a great city too, i'm really suprised more guys haven't wanted to play there simply for the citylife alone...doesn't location sometimes play a factor on where a guy wants to play? i haven't paid much attention lately, but that organization must really be fucked up...
  15. well, he had a **** match against that frog-king thing in SMB2, but that was the only highlight of his career, after that it was job city...Mario of course took the credit for that match, much like Hogan at WM 4 helping Randy Savage...
  16. yeah but on the flipside of things, perhaps there can be a "miracle on the court" thing for some other country like we had with hockey...i'd love to see the NBA guys get worked in the Olympics, though i know it won't happen...
  17. are there ANY good analysts in the NBA? not including Al Michaels...Brad Nessler is okay i guess, Marv Albert's schtick is old and tired...who else?
  18. most Nebraska players are...as good coach as Tom Osbourne was, he sure couldn't handle his players off-field problems, same with Frank Solich...i don't expect NFL coaches to get too involved in a player's personal life, those are grown men, but if i send my child to a university, i expect that coach to do his best to make sure my kid doesn't fuck up, you know like the whole Gary Barnett thing...i can't even count how many times a Nebraska player has been arrested for something in just the past 10 years! what's worse is that they were always kept on the teams rather than given the boot...money talks i suppose...
  19. Oz and Carnivale are the only ones i could get into...Oz because every week you knew SOMEONE was getting killed and it was fine trying to guess who and Carnivale because that show was so damn hard to figure out you HAD to keep watching so you could FINALLY figure it out...
  20. shiiiiiit, in my copy of SMB 2, Toad got the biggest push of them all!
  21. what's crazy, Jaxl, is that i love westerns, but i just could not get into this show for some reason, same with the Sopranos and the Shield...
  22. if it's a comedy, there's no way it works without Charlie Murphy, the REAL Charlie Murphy, not some actor playing him...
  23. Willem DaFoe, Gary Oldman and James Woods? I don't believe i've ever heard of them being underrated...they're USUALLY critically acclaimed when referred to...
  24. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....wake me when Carnivale Season 2 starts....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  25. honestly i think Jerry McGuire and Eyes Wide Shut are what killed his heat for me...
