  1. source: Wade Keller --The 11/23 Thanksgiving edition of TNA iMPACT! drew a final 0.86 (or 0.9) cable rating, which has to be considered a big success given the holiday and competition taking place during that night. --Because of the holiday, it was hard to get a strong indicator of much ratings wise with TNA's second week in primetime at 9pm ET/8pm CT. We may have more on this rating very soon.
  2. IIRC that's how he left WCW too.
  3. "The fuck?"
  4. I thought Tenay was channeling the spirit of Schiavone circa 97-98?
  5. Yeah, I remember hearing about Darsow as one of the many Doinks. Wasn't he Evil Doink? I could be wrong though.
  6. I'd go with Ray Traylor aka The Boss aka The Guardian Angel aka The Big Bossman aka Big Bubba Rogers. But I've seen countless guys wrestle with so many different alias' it's ridiculous. Barry Darsow is another mention (aka Doink The Clown aka The Repo Man aka Blacktop Bully aka Smash from Demolition). Throw in some other wrestlers with multiple gimmicks, I've left plenty out there and maybe some that were out of left field.
  7. Heavens know that I deserve a banning for committing no violation of rules and even if I did commit a violation ie. maybe posting this in the wrong forum, I don't think it would be ban worthy. Plus, as I seem to have embraced the ethic employed by most people on the net with half-a-brain, hat of actually writing out words, I don't see why your obvious judgment on me is anything more valuable than a stool sample. May I also remind you that no one forced you to read any of that. If you find it mind-numbing or retarded, do you have to post in this topic? What exactly is being accomplished by your calling for a "BAN PLS"? Perplexing. w... p?
  8. I wonder if there will ever be a boom period again. Seems like every booker has been put on Auto-Pilot. Maybe ROH will wise up and make a run for the big time. I mean, TNA has all the weapons and refuses to use them. It's brainless, I can't figure it out. Maybe there's something going on we're not being told. Because this is fucking ridiculous. You have fucking Jim Cornette and you'd rather use Vince Russo. Maybe I'm getting too old for this. Seems like these "writers" (and i'm referring to both WWE and TNA) need to *STOP* living in the past. Have some love for this business! Jeez.
  9. Only if Mercury plays up "Gigilo" Jimmy Del Ray, dance and all.
  10. I know this is the old school _match_ thread, however I've been trying to get my hands on some old promos and interviews specifically from the early to mid 90's from WCW and WWF. Anybody have any of Brian Pillman's tirades before he left WCW and some from WWF or stuff from Doink the "Evil" Clown? And if anybody has any episode of Livewire, i'd give them 60 brownie points Just took a visit down memory lane and wanted to continue down the road.
  11. AJ Styles will never be a heel was my point. He's TNA's "Icon" if you will. TNA fans love this guy and it will be interesting to see if they end up booing Rhino instead.
  12. Family Guy is so overrated. It's just not funny anymore and was so much better before the modern public found out about it. Once one single person spouted off "I love their inside jokes on 80's culture", we got that every two fucking minutes! It's not as frequent now, however it's definately lost it's steam. If The Simpsons is Ric Flair, Family Guy is Rob Van Dam. Had a huge following and was pretty entertaining at first, but will never be the same again.
  13. [Thinks about Inspector Gadget and The Pink Panther movies]
  14. Yeah, seems like the movie used all of the good jokes and ideas and bad ones for that matter. Won't last a season.
  15. That sold me on it. T-shirt is gold.
  16. I agree with whoever said TNA needed drawn out angles. That seems to be the main thing missing from wrestling period, continuity in storylines that actually mean something. Ring of Honor (which I can only see bits and peices of), seems to be the only company actually attempting this and it saddens me this has taken a backseat to wrestling in exchange for smash mouth angles. I mean jeez, how many times is AJ Styles going to switch from heel to face and vice versa? How many times will good tag teams split up? They've already given us Angle-Joe, which this feud should have been teasing a one on one match for months before finally giving us that big match. The hype for this on TV and on subsequent Pay-Per-Views would have helped TNA profit more in the long run. Maybe Angle's Creative Control is on "Hogan level", I can only hope not.
  17. Da White around yo lips. Not only did you not get the joke but you proceeded to throw in a horrible one of your own. Superb work. I did get the joke. It was hair-larious. You seem a little upset. Wanna talk about it?
  18. Da White around yo lips.
  19. I like ya. U and Czech are my favorites.
  20. When Crush solidified his heel turn by attacking Randy Savage on a RAW to setup their match at WrestleMania. I believe Crush press slammed Savage's face on the guardrail, and what bought me (and correct me if I am wrong I was young), Savage began spitting teeth out. And, the Pillman/Austin "Gun" angle had me sold as well. Man I used to be a big Austin fan, he was such a true badass in the beginning.
  21. This couldn't have been setup more perfectly.
