"Hey there, all you middle men Throw away your fancy clothes And while you're out there sittin' on a fence So get off your ass and come down here 'Cause rock 'n' roll ain't no riddle man To me it makes good, good sense Good sense, let's go...." AC/DC- Rock n Roll ain't noise pollution

AC/DC- My bro played "Back in Black" when he was testing his DJ equipment for a show he was doing. I heard the hi-hat hitting and then that badass riff. Totally blew me away, and I went out and bought all their CD's within a week. Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band- Saw them open for Van Halen in 1998 and they blew the roof off the place, especially Kenny's playing on "Voodoo Chile", this was the first time I saw an opening act get a standing O from the crowd, but they definitely deserved it.

So true. I saw them in 2000 on my 21st b-day, at Foxboro stadium. I'm not sure how many people were actually there but the stands were full, as well as the field portion, and I overheard some people talking about how when Metallica hits the stage that the whole field would be like a giant moshpit. Wrong. When Metallica came out everyone stood up and just watched, like, you just to be there and feel the energy that they bring, it really is awesome to hear 65,000 people screaming "DIE!!!" to Creeping Death. Oh, also got my tix for the Fleetcenter show in October, I hope they bust out something rare, I heard they have been practicing Trapped Under Ice.....

I saw Ted Nugent last year when he toured with ZZ Top, and motherfucker he was loud! I was about 7 rows back from the amp stack and it's not like his BAND was loud, it was just his guitar was turned up to an unbelievably high level. Shit, my ears were ringing for a while. Also AC/DC at the Fleetcenter, they started off at a normal level, then as the show went on, it got progressivly louder until For Those About To Rock with the fuckin' cannons going off, needless to say I couldn't hear worth a damn for the next few days.

Seconded. Also, didn't they just add that to their re-issue? Not the AAF version, but I think they re-recorded it in a studio for the release. Also, if you can find anything from Aerosmith's 1990 Unplugged session on MTV, they do some great stuff on that one, a lot of their older stuff(Walking the Dog, One Way Street, Seasons of Wither, etc.).

I second this. Awesome band, super tight sound, great harmonies but they'll never catch on to a mainstream audience. Too bad, too, a lot of people are missing out on good music.
-
It is? Funny, because I'm looking at the back of my copy of "Sports" and it says the title is "I WANT a New Drug"....
-
I've always been impartial to the "Sports" album. "I want a new Drug" and "Bad is Bad" are probably my two faves. Huey Lewis is just one of those things that if you grew up in the '80's were always there, MTV, VH1, radio, etc. Ahh, childhood memories...

Joe Bonamassa- Blues Deluxe Title track does it for me everytime, smokin' cover of a classic Jeff Beck tune. If you're into Blues/Rock at all, this is always a suggestion by me.

As far as best....Bob Hoskins in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". Perfect American accent.

Wait a minute....When did they play Trapped Under Ice? I've been checking the setlists and haven't seen it in there. If they are palying it, they better play it in Boston, dammit! Although Metal Militia would rock, too. Can't believe I gotta wait until October to them, gonna be a long wait.

I've always liked John "Way Back" Wasdin myself, except for when he was on the mound for the Sox. D'oh.
-
What about Milk Cow Blues? I thought that is the shining track on that album, as well as the title track, obviously. I do agree that this is one hell of an empty sounding record, but I always thought they did a great job on their version of MCB.

As was discussed earlier in here, about the media 180's, the Patriots were shit on by the media for a loooooooong time. Even when they beat the supposed "Greatest show on Turf", what did FOX do? "Hey, let's go to a nice long piece about Pat Summerall, seeing he's gone after this game." Couldn't that wait? Of course, this year with them going 15 straight to end the season, the media was all on their nuts once the wins started piling up, but the fans of other teams became big time haters. I guess I know how Yankee fans feel now....

Let's see here.... Jet- Dirty Sweet EP and Rollover DJ maxi single SRV- Live at Carnegie Hall Faith No More- The Real Thing

I like Everlast, Whitey Ford was a great album. He's kinda hard to put into a category because of the nature of his albums, he has seemed to get away from the rap aspect and gone more bluesy/rock. But, if you like the bluesy/rock stuff, I'd suggest Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Joe Bonamassa. Check 'em out.... www.kwsband.com www.jbonamassa.com

Ditto to FrigidSoul. Just said everything I was thinking. If people don't get it now, they NEVER will.........

My bro and I quote "Tommy Boy" all the time. "Hey lady, you got a fat whale in your boat!" "Hey Gilligan, what did ya do, eat the skipper?" Farley: ""You better pray to the God of skinny punks that this wind doesn't pick up or I'll go over there and shove an oar up your ass!!" "Oh yeah, melted chocolate in the dash, that'll really up the re-sale value...." "I got totally douched in mud!" "Hey Chucko, that doesn't smell like mud...." We also quote one of Steven Segal's older flicks, I think it's "Hard to Kill" Segal to guy in street: "Ay yo, Fucknuts!!!" To this day that's how my bro and I greet each other most of the time....

Yeah, I feel dumb for not mentioning Tribe or Gang Starr. I also thought Tical by Meth was good when it first came out, but it got kinda old, which is why I mentioned 36 Chambers because that album hasn't got old for me. I can still throw it in my car and love every minute of it.
