You basically hit the nail on the head right here. Ann Coulter has every right to express her whackjob opinions, but the problem with the corporate media like Fox/CNN/ABC etc....is that they legitimize her beliefs, while at the same time labeling anyone as extreme as her, except on the left, a "nut" Everytime Coulter has a new insane book to promote, here come all the networks to whore her out. Also, Michelle Malkin is well on her way to ousting Coulter one of these days.

The answer is no. They have place in a church among believers, but they have no place in my home. They definately do not belong in the law books.

Well then I dare you to go google "9/11 families outraged" and actually read about how a lot of the families that lost loved ones, don't believe the government and/or that we are being told the truth. Also, I remember back in 2003, when it was all just a "conspiracy theory" that Iraq didn't have WMDs, and that Rumsfield "knew exactly where they were" he had maps, satellite images, and all the other BULLSHIT he could use to scare people with. Oh and then suddenly a week later, "WMDs aren't why we went to Iraq" and "Iraq not having WMDs is old news"

The question here is: Is Marriage a religious institution or a State/Federal institution? If it is state sponsored then eventually it is going to become illegal on the grounds of civil rights. No one is forcing a church or a priest/rabbi/pastor to marry a gay couple, but a judge at city hall will have the obligation.

Damn, he was only 42? You'd think he was a lot older, at least closer to 50, seeing as how long he's been around, and how old some of the current roster is.

Seeing as how ONS is probably going to be over-booked in the title matches, maybe it would have been better to have the WWE vs. ECW show AFTER the PPV, like, in order to tie-up loose ends, and screw jobs, FROM THE PPV. As we have it now, there will probably be screwjobs in tonights matches, and then again on Sunday, so it accomplishes nothing. Well I guess it makes an opening for the ECW ressurgence, but I mean really, Vince should have either Sabu or RVD take a title to ECW, because to me that makes for a better startup for ECW, then "Man I got screwed, so I am leaving for ECW"

Well what I think I mean to say is that overall, if you are in the age group I stated on the thread topic opener, it seems that a lot of the era's happened to hit us at the right time, when we were the right age. Example: As a Middle-Teen/Late Teen, I was being shown The Attitude Era, the nWo, and ECW. Now compare that to those were were teens in the early 90's - Crush, Clowns, Mantaur, Vikings, Jobber matches, WCW Saturday Night as a #1 show etc etc.....Now of course there were always Diamonds in the Rough from every era that you can appreciate, I am just saying that I think OUR age group had the benefit of having the right stuff marketed to us at the right time, and it seems OUR generation has had the most influence, or demanded the most change in Professional Wrestling.

Right. His friendship with Terry Funk makes sense, they have battled each other through the years in some hellacious matches, and Funk who was once considered the hardcore king, passed the torch to Foley, years ago. The mutual respect they have for each other, in the midst of all the beatings they have given each other, MAKES SENSE, that is why the Foley/Funk confrontations have been enjoyable. The shit with Edge, I mean, you mean to tell me Foley is all of the sudden going to have that same respect for Edge after one fucking match? Even for marks, they gotta be saying, "Are you fucking kidding me" It is just a stupid angle that is ruining it.

Not to mention, it's not as if the "D-X" chants have been lighting the crowds on fire, if anything they have been a lot milder then expected.

But, but but......... what about ROH???????????? Fans got it made better now than we ever did. I'm telling ya. Well yeah maybe the .05% of all wrestling fans have it better, but fans in general.
-
The problem is, DX is merely a stable on a roster, while ECW is an entire seperate brand. Why in the hell of all stupid business decisions would you put the return of a mere stable over the ressurgence of an entire brand extension?

I got to thinking. If you are about 25-35 now, then when Hogan ruled the world you were a kid, when ECW/Attitude Era/nWo came along we were teenagers or late teen/early 20's and then we all witnessed D-Day when ECW and WCW went bye-bye. It seems this generation happened to be the right age for a lot of the right events. I mean, I know not only teens/early 20's watch ECW and Attitude Era but hey those entities were speaking to THAT audience, and WE happened to be that age at that time. I know we have put up with a lot of bullshit over the years, especially lately, but it also seems our age group has been the right age at the right time for a lot of big moments in Pro-Wrestling.

I didn't go to mine on principal. Well see when i was in highschool, Hip Hop ruled the world, so basically they decided not to have a band, instead just hire a fucking DJ to you know, play the same fucking music that played at every other dance through the four years of highschool. So basically it would feel like the same dance except everyone was dressed up. So I didn't really feel like going. The most "formal" dance I went to was a couple of the homecoming dances, and was bored senseless besides being able to feel up my date on a couple of occassions. It was weird but it seemed I got way more play in my early years of highschool then my later years, but maybe because I tuned out after sophomore year. From what some of my classmates told me about the prom, I didn't miss much.

To me the key to a good system is the Center Channel and the Woofer. The surround sound speakers are mostly for filler and the 3D effect, but you need a good Center Channel and a Good Sub Woofer.

She wanted to be closer to Finn while he was in med school, or something to that affect. Your proposition would be pretty interesting though, Mike. Well I mean I know "wants to be closer to Finn" is the official reason, but I was just testing the waters with my FBI suggestion.
-
People know this isn't the real ECW, that isn't their gripe. I would imagine the main gripe is that after seeing last year's ECW ONS, and being entertained by it, you'd think Vince would let the same people run the show and make the decisions, in order to put on a 2nd entertaining show, instead Vince and Stephanie get to play booker/writer and it will probably turn out to be shit.
-
It really depends on what you have seen of Foley besides the last five years. There a lot of people who probably only know Foley as "Mick Foley and Socko" Just like there are plenty of people who only know Flair as the over-the-hill flabby-breasted 2nd-fiddle character he has been for about 10 years.

Soooo...did meadow move to CA because she was working for the FBI?

Balls Mahoney looked in better shape then he was in his ECW days.

Question: Will WWE wrestlers be coming out to their WWE themes at the PPV? Would be nice if they all just got to pick a real song to come out to.
-
I think WWE's writers had no idea how to get Foley on the PPV and probably thought up this lame "Be Edge's friend" bullshit one night and decided to go with it.
-
My problem with ONS as it is now, is that is being advertised as an ECW show. This is going to be a problem for any wrestling fan that doesn't really like/keep up with WWE, tuning in expecting an ECW show. If Vince wanted to do a WWE vs. ECW PPV then fine, and hey it isn't a bad idea, but then they should have just advertised it as that, and then they could have had the Wednesday show take place a week or two before the PPV to SET UP the PPV, but as it is now, the Wednesday show and the ONS PPV aren't going to feel that different from each other.
-
So thus far, then entire card at ONS is ECW vs. WWE, so doesn't that make the PPV just a "Backlash" of Wednesday's show. This is depressing, I mean I don't mind having an ECW vs. WWE show, but for christ sake that is what WEDNESDAY is for. The ECW PPV should be ECW MATCHES, besides the title matches, even though they really never explained why Sabu gets a shot, I guess I can get over that, but why does every damn match have to be ECW vs. WWE, was I mistaken or something, or was last years show DAMN ENTERTAINING without WWE guys involved any more then being in the crowd?
-
These matches seem ok on paper, but the weird thing is, are they both non-title matches? Because I mean I know it is Vince and all but it would seem lame not to put over at least one of the two ECW guys on this show, especially since they are both likely jobbing at ONS. I also wonder if Sabu shows up tonight on Raw at all to promote his match against Cena. I mean it might be a good idea to at least play a video package of his to give the WWE marks some frame of reference going into the match.

Does anyone know if Meadow's character is leaving the show or being written out of the show? I mean usually when a character "moves across the country" there isn't going to be much interaction, and it seems stupid to pay the actress for an occasional voice over on a telephone. Usually there is big news when a character is leaving the show.
