Nominees for the 2006 MTV Movie Awards
NoCalMike replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
NEVER trust "voted by viewers" based awards, since trying to authenticate the claim is nearly impossible for the public. -
So the Wednesday Show is going to be live? Anything booked for it yet?
-
Pittsburgh Fans....make us proud.

Well considering how much respect Vince has for the Cruisers, this signing isn't suprising.

I am still interested to see if Angle's debut in ECW draws a "We Want Puder" chant.

So Bush says this amendment is critical to American Families, well what about Gay Couples that adopt? I am sure the kids will eventually ask why their parents aren't allowed to get married when they are doing a find job of raising their kids. Does Bush feel it is critical to prevent Gay Parents from expressing their love in the highest for of comittment? If wants the people to decide then it should be on a ballot, not in the hands of Congress where everyone is looking out for the best way to keep their job. This just smells like election red meat.

I do totally get what you are saying about overbearing public affection though. Sometimes enough is just fucking enough, however I wouldn't say it affects a kid more because it is a homosexual doing it, rather then a heterosexual. I still think people are too hung up on the myth that kids can be "turned gay" by witnessing something. Nobody TAUGHT ME to be heterosexual. I just turned 12 one day and suddenly got a hard-on when I saw a chick in a bikini, and from then on out, it was pretty much assumed I was heterosexual.

I honestly don't see the harm that could have on a child. I do, but I see all (not just homosexual) overly sexual acts as possibly having harm toward a 7 year old child. Small example, I was at my aunt's house a month ago, and my gay cousin was there with his boyfriend. It was about 930 PM, so they both pull out an air mattress and lay down. They start fooling around and making out on the bed in front of everyone. Now, we'll fastforward to last Saturday. My 2 cousins were spending the night, when I wake up and see them both in my room (they weren't both supposed to be in there) laying down on the floor and fooling around under the blankets. Now, I don't know what they were doing, but this is something that I've never seen before. Now, did what my cousin and his boyfriend were doing influence them to do that? Possibly, but did it affect them because your cousin was GAY, or just because he was being an inconsiderate prick?

I just find it disgusting that anyone would ever consider changing the constitution into a document to discriminate, when it basically starts out that all men are created EQUAL. Also, Bush is back to his usual rhetoric about "Activist Judges" which is another ludicrous statement because Judges are SUPPOSED to be Activists for the Constitution and Law, not for the Religious-Right Wing. Judges are supposed to here cases about laws on the books and see if they mesh with the constitution.

I am wondering how people feel about the Northwoods Documents that are declassified, that specifically lays out how the American Military was going to attack it's own people in Cuba in order to make it look like Cuba did it, to work up a frenzy in order to get support to Invade Cuba. Yeah this was 40 years ago, but when you read things like that, it certainly makes it seem more likely that there is reason to be suspicious about unanswered questions. Also, I wish the people that are so profound and taken with their intellectual wit that they respond to articles with "people are stupid enough to believe this" would actually take the time to go research answers to these questions, rather then just post one-liners about how everyone is so much stupider than them for asking questions. I think people need to get with the program here and realize that questions do not equal "conspiracy theories" Not everyone here is denying that Arabs flew planes into the WTC and Pentagon, however what we are questioning is if there was more to the big picture in scheme of things, behind the scenes. If everyone could for a second pretend to just agree that Arabs hijacked planes and flew them into targeted buildings, that would be bliss, but it still wouldn't answer the majority of questions there are regarding the attacks, the days and months leading up to the attacks, and the inconsistencies in most of the testimony given in the 911 Commission Hearings.

Has anyone heard JBL's commentary on One Night Stand?
NoCalMike replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
I am sure most guys are when they are just given free reign to talk shit. -

The Directors Cut DVD Discussion Thread
NoCalMike replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Television & Film
There is actually 2 now I think. I have the International Uncut version, which has about 25 minutes of more movie, and it is shit that is actually vital to the movie and the director's vision. Then there is the 10th anniversay Edition, or 15th, can't remember. -
Goddammit, this is fucking bullshit. Fucking Castillo. I want to see this fight badly, but if I am Corrales's camp I dunno if I go forward with the fight. This happened last time and Castillo ended up like 20 pounds heavier at the sound of the bell giving him an distinct advantage.

Here is the method that works: Tilt your head back and have someone else pour water down your throat. Always works.

1st and foremost, Eliminate Vince Mcmahon as an on-air character.

Ok yeah I found some models online. Still to expensive though. The inconvenience of plugging in and out a cable is not quite worth $200.00. I am sure the price will drop fast once more people have HDMI/DVI needs.
-
That model, the DVD player acts as the Receiver. Although with the $199.00 Price tag I think you'd be better off with this Sony Model. (Digital Inputs ) Oh unless you don't already have a DVD player to hook up to the receiver, and absolutely NEED the Reciever to BE a DVD player.

With Hellraiser 1 & 2, you knew they were Clive Barker Films. The rest of the series basically featured characters created by Clive Barker.

Aliens Alien 3 Leon: The Professional The Abyss: Extended version -
See here is what I don't get. When it comes to "Did a plane hit the pentagon" people keep throwing "There were witnesses dammit, what else do you need, you tin foil hat hippie" at me, however when it comes to witnesses and FIRST HAND ACCOUNTS at the WTC buildings, as far as explosions go it's always, "People are fucking stupid, they don't know what the fuck they are talking about, EOS" So what is it, are eye witnesses credible or not? I really wish there was a website that featured all the coverage, UNFILTERED of the actual REAL-TIME events of 9/11, Not just the planes hitting, but news reports, first hand eye witness accounts...EVERYTHING that was going on that day. There was so much reporting that conflicts with what the official story BECAME several days later, that it brings up serious questions and conflicts. It just seems that any reports that mesh with the official story have all but dissapeard or have been edited.

6-6-06 = staged terror attack to promote war with Iran ??
NoCalMike replied to a topic in Current Events
This is almost as bad as the Y2K hysteria. On a serious note, I am not doubting for a second that come election time, we are going to be getting a lot of BS going again, like in 2004 the "Terrorist Warning Levels" that have all but dissapeared. Sublte bullshit like that, but "staged terrorist attacks" would be kind of a stretch over winning a single election. -
Yeah because people just loooooooove Triple H. Sorry all I hear for Cena when he comes out is the high-pitched yells and screams of would-be rats scattered throughout the arena. And I won't lie, wrestling isn't JUST about how well you can work a match, however there is a reason that SOME matches have a lot of heat during the ring entrances, but then die during the actual match, because the wrestlers CAN'T WORK. The crowd basically kills themselves watching punchy/kicky/resthold matches.

Fuuuuck. I have just been informed I have to participate in this 24-hour relay "Walk for the Cure" thing. It starts Saturday at 10am and goes till Sunday at 10am. Great just Great. Tivo will be taping this fight, and I will basically have to shut myself down from my cell phone and any sports news for 24 hours so the fight isn't spoiled for me.

Who here supports the current administration?
NoCalMike replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Current Events
Yes I am familiar with Sullivan. I was not aware of his "awards" though. Where can I read up on that, on his website? Oh and LOL at him naming it the "Michelle Malkin" award as the description of the award fits her perfectly.
