  1. I don't get why people give a flying fuck about the DX reunion if it just to wrestle the Spirit Squad.
  2. You are absolutely correct, and lets not forget when the brand split happened, Triple H basically was handed a belt and just declared the champ of Raw. Everyone predicted doom, and a couple of years later the Raw belt means 100x more then the Smackdown belt in the fans' eyes. I don't see why RVD's win last night just can't be validated, and he is awarded with being declared the ECW champ, he can come out on the ECW show and declare that he wrestles for ECW now and not WWE Raw, therefore he is now hereby the ECW Champ, and he gets the belt ceremony on Tuesday night, and then someone runs in and attacks him setting up his first feud. It's not perfect, but it is certainly better then keeping him on WWE TV for another two weeks just to do a job at a PPV and then sent on his way like a loser.

  4. This is why I hate Triple Threat matches. Everyone says "well since RVD doesn't get pinned he will still look strong" Sorry I call bullshit, because usually with Triple Threat matches, the two guys that are involved in the pin, go on to feud for the title, while the other guy is the odd man out and soon forgotten about. I don't think it would be a good idea to send RVD off to ECW full time coming off a big PPV LOSS. It just seems stupid.
  5. Well we are under 2 hours away until we see how WWE Creative fucks up RVD's title win.....
  6. So are you implying that it is an ECW taping that is absent from being attached to a Smackdown taping? I mean I almost would yearn for a smackdown taping in front of the ECW Arena crowd just for the chants.....of course they would probably be edited out by the time Friday rolled around.
  7. The problem I forsee happening though is RVD has to job the title out before he becomes the ECW Champ. I am sure the result of the 3-way at Vengeance will be Cena pinning Edge, and then RVD/Heyman upset that he never got pinned, and then probably say, "In ECW, we have three way dances not triple threat matches" and he will declare that since RVD wasn't pinned he is still the champ........The ECW Champion" Now that is all good and fine, but it still looks bad for RVD to job the title AND THEN go to ECW, because it makes it seem like he wasn't good enough for WWE so he is running off to ECW. I'd take my scenario of the triple threat match tonight, with a double pin, and a double belt awarding over the current plan.
  8. ECW should get The Sinister Minister back to manage the "Vampire Cult" or whatever. Funny how Steph is now 100% behind this because the WWE creative team will be involved in booking I don't understand the Sci-Fi channel, I mean it's not like every fan has to watch every show on the network. I mean I may watch Twilight Zone reruns, but that doesn't mean I am tuning in to see Python vs. Super on Skelenton Island Part III. I think Raw is the only thing I watch on USA network.
  9. Ok, so they have a three way match tonight and do a double pin, where somehow all three guys get laid out, but it ends up with RVD and Cena both with their arms over Edge, so the ref counts to 3, but when he stands up he notices BOTH GUYS were pinning Edge........so then award RVD ECW Champ since he is going to ECW, and Cena WWE Champ....!?!
  10. I'd imagine they aren't going to do a preview until they get things settled with the belt. Or they really have no clue what they are going to do. I'm just pissed RVD finally gets a belt and it doesn't even feel like he got the belt. They managed to cheapen his WWE World Title and ECW World Title win all at once. It's frustrating. You wait four or five plus years for something and then watch as it gets pissed down a leg. Well that is what you get when WWE is booking ONS II. I am just trying to make the best of the situation with my ideas. I mean I know they aren't spectacular ideas and definately not ideally what we all would like to see, but I am trying to make the best out of the bad booking from last night.
  11. I think they need to seperate ECW and WWE ASAP though, and having RVD keep coming back to RAW would not help matters. Besides any interpromotional shows they will be having in the future, I think it is important to keep the brands seperate PERIOD. If at the end of RAW tonight, RVD is recognized as the ECW Heavyweight Champ of the world, I will be happy. He just needs a damn belt and to get off of RAW as soon as possible, to go jumpstart ECW. Speaking of ECW, does anyone have an actual preview for the show yet? On my Dish guide when I hit info it just says "ECW: Paul Heyman, Kurt Angle & RVD" but doesn't have a match or any type of preview...?
  12. That would actually be a good idea. Vince could strip RVD of the WWE title, and then RVD can do a promo of how he didn't want to be WWE champion anyway, and that he is the champion of the WRESTLING BRAND...ECW...yadda yadda yadda......and leave Raw as the recognized ECW Champion.
  13. Which could be for the WWE title, since RVD should be the ECW Champion now. It is rather easy to explain without ANYONE looking bad. Goddamn I hope Vince/Heyman/Stephanie do this fucking shit correctly.
  14. Well yeah I have been trying to tell people for years that a good amatuer wrestler doesn't automatically translate into entertaining pro-wrestling matches. Angle, in ECW will be in the ring with others that know how to integrate amatuer wrestling sequences INTO PROWRESTLING MATCHES, which in reality makes them better workers, that is why I really don't want Angle being booked as GOD, and just as a ECW wrestler that is a good technical guy.
  15. I dunno why this is such a hard concept to grasp, but I really think RVD will be considered the new ECW Champ when all is said and done come Tuesday. It seemed that is what Joey and Taz were trying to get across after the match that RVD was the ECW champ, not the WWE champ. If he is stripped of the WWE belt Monday, then it all but guarantees he is being awared the ECW Belt on Tuesday, and that is what should happen, because if he was on the ECW show with a WWE belt, all that would mean is that he would have to go back to a WWE show or PPV and job anyhow. This way it will now create a seperate belt from the Raw belt and the Smackdown belt, and send RVD on his way into ECW.
  16. The thing is though. Lets just say it plays out on Raw, with Cena saying "Edge cost me the belt" and that sets up a vengence match. Now on Tuesday, RVD can easily come out with the WWE spinner belt, and Heyman comes out and proclaims that because RVD is now an ECW superstar, he is awarding him the ECW belt for his victory on ONS II, and RVD just vacates the Spinner belt, sending it back to Raw because they can justify that a WWE belt is meaningless on an ECW show, and then the Cena/Edge match turns into a title match. I mean is it really that difficult? No. Does it really make anyone look bad? No. I just don't see the need to strip RVD of anything. Screwjob endings happen on WWE events all the time, and this time it was at an ECW event under "Extreme rules" which further validates RVD's win. Plus the "No Instant Replay" stuff,(of course that is only used when convenient, but still). Am I off base here?
  17. If the RAW preview is not trying to mislead us then it looks like we all may have to mark out as RVD's title win will be held up.......I can't believe it. Of course I have been fooled into things like this before....
  18. For the record. No one knows what direction the new ECW is going, because for gawd sakes, it doesn't start UNTIL TUESDAY. People can't seperate ONS from ONS II, they think they should have been the same PPV it seems.
  19. I have no clue why people thought this was the MOTN. Angle and Orton didn't mesh well, but I think it was because they were trying to "tell a story" in the match which was "Angle is a wrestler, Orton is a superstar" I mean there was just so much blatant "I can out manuever you, bitch" sequences for the first 10 minutes of the match. It kind of got old after awhile and it seemed like Orton got frustrated with it all and just wanted to get the match over with. Angle will be fine in ECW, once he starts wrestling other guys that can do the "amatuer wrestling sequences" I'd like to see an Angle/Guido match where they are seen on even ground without Angle being pushed as god, because both those guys can shoot. Angle/Tanaka would be nice, but I think Tanaka was a one night deal. I really like the idea of Angle in ECW, but I don't really want another "Taz gimmick" where he just destroys everybody. I mean the whole reason that Taz was pushed like a god is because he was "leaving a path of destruction" until Sabu would agree to wrestle him, and it was built up for an entire year, but that is because the crowd accepted the fact that Taz would not lose until his showdown with Sabu(which he ended up winning anyway) There is no "Sabu"in ECW for Angle....YET. So until then, Angle should just be treated as a very good wrestler, not a god, and just produce good matches, not squashes because there are plenty of guys there for Angle to have very good matches with.
  20. You hit the nail on the head. People, you have to remember that right off the bat this PPV lost about 90% of it's significance once Heyman stated two weeks ago that ECW was coming back full time, thus negating the entire "One Night Stant" premise. I mean think about, ECW is back now, so this isn't a One Night Stand. The Sabu/Rey match ended the way it did to protect both guys, obviously. Rey is a WWE champ, and Sabu is going to be a top player in ECW, it wouldn't have been a good idea for business for either guy to lose clean. Now, not only does neither guy come off looking bad, but it could extend the feud, which so far has produced a hell of a match. The real test IMO, is going to be the ECW PPV in December, assuming that is the first all ECW event, then really that is going to be the show that puts forth the first 6 months of ECW-only programming. That PPV is going to make or break ECW a lot more then ONS II. From the beginning we knew that ONS II was going to be a mixed event, so it was only fair to assume that the results would be mixed. Also, regarding Cena getting "Screwed" well I am sorry Jim Ross and WWE fans, but wasn't this an "extreme rules" match? So the Edge interference is perfectly OK. Now, whether or not it hurts RVD, seeing that it wasn't a clean pin can be debated, but as far as the RULES go, RVD's victory should be valid. The only tweak I would have made is to have had Fonzie run down and make the pin instead of Heyman, since Fonzie was an actual ref, plus why have him backstage and not come out when he fucking MANAGES SABU AND RVD...SERIOUSLY WTF? And stop bitching and whining about how bad it will hurt RVD, lest we not forget that HHH was AWARDED A FUCKING TITLE BELT ON RAW for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING....remember that? How is that any better then this, and you know what, a couple months later, no one cared. My BIGGEST FEAR to come out of this, and has been in the back of my mind now, is that Vince will do something stupid and not completely serperate ECW/Raw/Smackdown from now on. Now I wouldn't mind annual or semi-annual cross-brand shows, that is fine, but I think each brand needs to have it's own set of belts. Now that RVD is the champ, WWE RAW should have no champion until a they work out a way to have a tournament or #1 contenders matches and the winner at Vengence be declared the new champ. I REALLY DON'T WANT, RVD on the next WWE PPV or hell even RAW having to job the title back. At the LEAST, what they better do have RVD awared the ECW Title Belt and then he can vacate the spinner belt back to Raw for them.
  21. Oh please god, NO.
  22. I am suprised. Kudos to B-Hop for what was seemingly a dominating performance. I am assuming HBO will show it on TV next week prior to the Taylor vs. Winky Wright Fight....should be a good fight.
  23. Well if you all remember, it took him some hard-work but D-Von finally beat the retardedness out of Bubba Ray Dudley and that started them off on their monster heel run.
  24. I think WWE has a list of bars and theaters that are "Licensed by WWE" to show their PPVs. Now, some places do it anyway. We used to have a sportsbar here that showed all the WWE ppvs but I guess Vince rose the licensing fee so the sportsbar said forget it, and stopped showing ppvs. Some places just do it illegally, but you would have to look in your local phone book and call around to find those places.
