I don't think Smackdown fans would necessarily LEAVE, but they might just not be into the show very much and sit on their hands for most of the show, but hey they do that for Smackdown ANYWAY. I mean seriously, if I spent money for a wrestling show, why the hell would I leave early if I could get two shows for one. Oh and as far as scheduling additional ECW Arena shows? The more ECW tapings held in front of ECW crowds...the BETTER. I am not concerned about the lack of "Violence" in ECW, because you know they will let them go all out on PPV, and it is better to save the big stuff for PPVs and the bigger shows, I am more afraid of WWE-ized wrestling and too much WWE involvement on the show. It's nice to see that the Sci-fi run, may just be a mere audition for the USA Network, because some of the Sci-fi channels ideas about what should be incorporated into the show are ridiculous.

From WWE.com Also you can watch the Vengeance Press Conference here: http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/pre...00606/vengpress So now it looks like there isn't going to be a seperare ECW belt, at least not YET. It looks as if it will be the same belt, however it will just be called the ECW belt while RVD has it.....hmmm. So it looks like Either RVD gets screwed at Vengeance OR they do a double pin spot and then RVD gets his own belt the following Tuesday. EDIT: This press conference is freaking hilarious. RVD is acting like the cocky heel he was in ECW at the podium. I wish Vince would have let him be like this in WWE. Triple H and HBK introduced as DX w/DX Music. Whoa, a nice little shoot between Triple H and RVD to end the press conference: HHH: "The nice thing about the WWE title being rechristened as the ECW title is now it can be won on Wednesday nights during bingo" RVD: "Watch as I going ahead and put respect back into the World Title that WWE ruined five years ago"
-
Yeah I mean if RVD gets his own belt tonight, I honestly won't care about him jobbing the spinner belt. I just want him to have his own belt first. It's like in boxing, when you hold multiple belts, and only one of the belts is on the line in a fight. It would look better for RVD to be holding two belts and only lose one at Vengeance, then for him to only be holding the WWE title, job it, and then be awarded a new belt.
-
I am hoping the "rechristening" of the belt, means that RVD will actually have a new/different belt, and that the stupid fucking spinner belt is gone. Or that RVD will just get a 2nd belt, that way when he jobs at Vengeance he is just losing the spinner belt.

Yeah when DX was around, it was HBK telling 90% of the jokes, with Triple H just usually making funny faces and backing up HBK. I doubt it would be like that now..

Check out "funk gets stitches" on www.ecw.com Once they get Funk to lay down you can hear the match going on in the ring and you hear the "Balls Balls Balls...whoooooooooooa BALLS" LOL.

I was also reading somewhere that Dreamer has been almost completely phased out from the booking team altogether. The thing is, im not surprised. As long as ECW is under the WWE umbrella, it is doomed for failure... Dreamer without control is a GOOD thing. He really isn't a good mind. He is known for being a shitty booker. Why would you give him any control? He isn't even a good road agent as he couldn't control Rhyno in the hotel and he let CM Punk work ROH, as well as appearing at indy shows despite being told not to. I never advocated for Dreamer, but come on man you can't be happy that Heyman is phased out with Steph and Gerwitz in charge....!?! Heyman is still there. People like to ignore that ECW used WWE talent in the peak of ECW's run. It's not like it's a new thing for Heyman to do this. He sure did, but most of the time it was wrestlers that WWE wasn't using, that Heyman WANTED to use on ECW. This time around, besides Kurt Angle, he is basically forced to accept what Stephanie and Gerwitz think should be happening on an ECW show, even though those two clowns were so adamant about ECW not returning just barely a month ago.

Oh and if it isn't apparent by now, it seems Heyman has lost most of his creative control over ECW, because tomorrow night's show reeks of Gerwitz/Stephanie. The setup for tomorrow can be seen as two different things. Either this is what we should expect every week, WWE Superstars on an ECW show OR they just want to get everyone to tune in for the first week because it is important to get people in the habit of tuning in for the show, especially when it is on a different network/timeslot then they are used to.

Exactly and making it a 2/3 falls match makes it worse. The build will be nothing new for us smarks, it'll confuse the marks but come match time these two will mainipulate that crowd like they always do. If by "manipulate" you mean Flair is dead and can barely stand up halfway into the second fall, then yeah.
-
The crowd was dead for the Foley/Flair promo for a couple of reasons. One, we can pretend all we want but I guarantee not more more then 100 people in that arena actually know the legend of Ric Flair, the rest have just BEEN TOLD about it, but have probably never seen a match of his prior to his latest WWE stint. Foley was 100% accurate when talking about how WWE fans can give two shits about all of his good classic matches of the past, and how most of them are to young and too casual of fans to even remember things from 10 years ago. Now with that said, Foley is what you call permanently over with the WWE crowd. Any attempts to make him a heel fail miserably because the crowd doesn't know how to react to a heel foley, so they just cheer him anyway. Just like Austin, no matter what he does, he gets cheered. Foley/Flair could be a CLASSIC in front of an audience that knows a thing or two about wrestling history, and the significance of these two guys when it comes to the last 20 years of pro-wrestling, but to a WWE CROWD, one is just an old man that they have heard things about, and the other is Mrs Foley's little boy that falls off steel cages.

Sooo, ECW is only a 1 hour show, and it already confirmed that Edge and Cena are showing up, so that leaves with about a half a segment for a wrestling match. Not a good start for ECW. P.S. This was probably legit the worst Raw in aswhile. Besides the Foley/Flair promo, I can't think of anything good.
-
Foley/Flair the Promo = *****(off the charts) Foley/Flair the Match(in 2006) = * In case people forgot, Flair cannot work a match anymore, he hasn't done a single different match in 10 years. The man can't land flat on his back correctly.
-
I'm thinking Cena gets the upper hand and RVD interferes allowing Edge to get the pin as a "get back" for Edge for last night.
-
I guess the one thing to be grateful about this week is the HHH/HBK/Spriit Squad crap was at the top of the 2nd hour and not in the Main Event spot where it DOES NOT belong.
-
Nothing like seeing two near cripples doing crotch chops.
-
Nice how Jim Ross is emphasizing the refs being knocked out and the interference like that NEEEEEEEVER happens in WWE main events on PPV.
-
You gotta love Lawler calling last night's PPV "Extremely Crappy Wrestling" I mean, he is watching tonight's Raw isn't he?
-
Since RVD is AT Raw tonight, anyone think there is a pretty good chance he interferes in the Cena/Edge match, like maybe Cena has control and is going for the win, and RVD runs down and attacks Cena to "return the favor" allowing Edge to get the win?
-
Ok that was the stupidest fucking "State of the WWE" speech ever. Why not just name "The State of Triple H"
-
btw, is there an AIM Chat going for Raw tonight?
-
Wow 2 segments into another yawner of a Raw and people dare criticize an ECW show they haven't even seen yet.
-
Wait, so RVD is the WWE Champ, but will be declared the ECW Champ tomorrow on ECW. So does this mean RVD will have two belts, and then job the WWE one back at Vengeance?
-
And Raw is out of the gate............by a half step.
-
Here we go...Raw starting......
