  1. It has potential, except Stevie Richards would probably be told not to say anything smarkish or "off the cuff" while Triple H would be given free reign to bomb away on All three of Blue-Generation X without a script to hold him to.
  2. I wonder who Vince thinks bought the ONS PPVS, and who made the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD the hottest selling "WWE" DVD of it's time? Does he really think it was WWE marks that bought all that stuff? So why is Heyman even employed then? Just as a figurehead so people actually think they are watching "ECW"? Jesus, Vince can be a blockhead sometimes. Oh well this is his pet project, so if it crashes and burns, he can look in the mirror at his own stubborn self. I just so don't understand why he wouldn't take the oppurtunity to make the ECW brand an alternative brand that would take business away from TNA, ROH, and other indy promotions, that are basically the leftovers we have now from what ECW was in the past. I love how this went from, "Heyman will be booking ECW", to, "Vince wants his vision of ECW to be carried out", and in ONLY 3 WEEKS(The last 2 of which have been pretty decent) has turned into, "ECW is Dead, the fanbase is dead, ECW is simply going to be a third WWE show" Vince = Stupid
  3. What does "last week" mean, are they referring to Week 2? Because it sure seems whoever booked Week 2, also had control of Week 3. Week 1 was much more of a McMahon/Gerwitz produced show. Unless they are referring to "last week" as yesterday's show, OR Vince did book the show this week but didn't feel the need to change much. Someone sent in a Smackdown/ECW report to wrestlingobserver saying after he went home to watch the broadcast, it seemed obvious that the crowd mics were turned way down for the ECW broadcast, because they crowd was a hell of a lot more hot for the show then it came off on TV.(I would imagine Vince is doing this in fear of vulgar chants) He also said all the Cena chants were coming from women and children in the upper-deck and he mentioned the "No We Don't" Chants. http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=16684
  4. Well since everyone has chimed in on Kelly, I guess I will. If her damn segments were just a little bit shorter, then I could write it off as harmless, but why do need her to dance around for a good 5 mins before she even removes her blouse? The segments drag and it really kills the crowd dead. Also, the fact that it is a weekly segment is rather lame. No reason we need to see it over and over again. I like the idea someone said about maybe having an ECW flashback segment, kind of like the WWE does the "This Day in WWE history" or whatever. It could serve purpose in not only getting over the current roster, but if they want to bring anyone else in that used to be in ECW, it could get them over. Sabu vs. Roadkill was a solid match. I think they are trying to build Sabu here, and I am hoping each consecutive match he has every week becomes more competative. His match against Mamaluke was almost a squash, but against Roadkill it was actually a match, maybe next week the match will be even tougher for Sabu. The Dreamer/Big Show storyline reminds me of the angle in ECW where Sandman caned the hell out of Dreamer and he kept asking for more to show he was "Hardcore" It seems like they are doing that over again, except instead of a match, they are doing it over the course of the weekly show. The problem is, the beatdowns should get more severe every week. I mean this week's beatdown seemed like it was EXACTLY the same as last week. If the same thing happens next week, Big Show should top it off with tossing Dreamer through a table or something. I loved how Tazz/Styles could hardly keep from laughing when talking about the Vampire flying all over the country to stalk ECW. Test is coming *gag* The Sandman segment this week was disturbing, but Sandman's reaction MADE the segment, even more then the actual beatdown. The way he was reacting like he was just in disbelief was hilarious. The Main event was good, it started slow and built to a good ending. RVD going over clean was a nice touch, as I figured Edge was going to factor into the ending. From a business standpoint, you have to be happy for Angle/RVD because they took a crowd that was losing it, and turned them all onto the match and had them excited for the finish. And I applaud the guys in the crowd that responded to the "We Want Cena" Chant with a "No We Don't" Retort.
  5. The biggest problem I see right now is that "ECW" hasn't established any feuds or storylines of their own. The only storyline going right now involves RVD, which is because he is the ECW/WWE champ, so his story is REALLY a WWE storyline. Sabu, even with his crossover matches, really has no storyline developed. Why not have Doring/Roadkill vs. FBI next week or something to kickstart the tag division. You could say it is for the vacant ECW Tag Titles, that match would not only be title match, but it would get a feud going. Then after one of the teams wins, have another Tag Team run in and destroy the champs..... Bottomline is, ECW needs it's own feuds and storylines. We are 3 weeks in and thus far besides the main event, all we are getting are random matches, which isn't the WORST thing ever, but it won't appeal to the masses for very long.
  6. This might seem obvious, but I don't personally feel like there was any reason for Edge to be there tonight, since he didn't even interfere DURING the match. Was he just there as a last ditch attempt to get those few extra WWE fans to watch? Oh and the Main Event was good, nothing like taking a dead crowd and making them get into the match by putting on a hell of a match. Kudos to Van Dam and Angle.
  7. All the girls in the crowd "We Want Cena" The Guys chanted back "No We Don't"
  8. I'll take Sabu against an ECW "jobber" every week. At least they are watchable matches, unlike 90% of the matches on Raw.
  9. The spike in the ratings from Edge could have to do with his promise of a "Live Sex Show" which most males figured might include a glimpse of a nude Lita, which it did, sort of, by accident. Also, "GO AWAY" Heat certainly DOES HAVE PASSION behind it, just witness the TNA crowd at Slammiversary when Jeff Jarrett won the belt, that was 100% "GO AWAY" Heat and there was passion behind it. Hell I would have thrown a baseball through my TV, breaking the thing, if I thought it had a chance of hitting Jarrett in the head. I still say that a lot of the heat on Cena comes from the fact that when Vince decided to put him in the Main Event, the fans rejected the idea, and instead of Vince responding to the fans, he decided that because HE LIKED CENA, he was going to continue to push Cena to the moon. The fans failed to buy into Cena, and to this date only some are finally starting to give Cena a chance, but like I said before, you work out that fan relationship on the mid-card so by the time you are a #1 face, you have already connected with the fans, much in the way The Rock and Austin did BEFORE they were pushed to the moon.
  10. Well that certainly ups the ante for this match, also it would add intrigue to the fatal fourway match with two ECW guys and two WWE guys.....interesting.
  11. Cena is just another bland worker that has been pushed to the moon. No matter how bad certain workers are, there will always be a percentage of WWE marks that just go with the flow and happily swallow down the shit that Vince spoon feeds them. They will buy the merchandise and keep the flow of cash going, however at the same time if you listen to the crowd reaction Cena gets, it literally sounds like mainly females in the age range of 12-17 are ther for Cena, and maybe 10% of the Males in the crowd are there to cheer for him. Is it that hard for some of you to decipher high-pitch girls screaming at the top of their lungs from Grown Men cheering? It seems pretty obvious when I watch the show. And please don't point out the fact that the crowd says "You Can't See Me" with John Cena, because that is no different then the entire crowd chanting "YOU SUCK" at Angle, and then turning around to cheer the hell out of him during the match. The crowd always respond to taglines, it is the rest of the time you have to worry about. See here is the thing also. It's not like a guy like Cena will never work out as a Main Eventer, but the problem is, he was put in that position way too soon, and as a result he is taking the lumps as a Main Eventer, that he should have been taking as a mid-carder. The fact that Cena was booed unmercifully when he turned into a ME "star" is an indication that the crowd was acknowledging that it was too damn soon for Cena to be put into the #1 face spot that he was given. So naturally, instead of responding to what people wanted, Vince decided it would be better to just push Cena down our throats until finally people came around, and now we are at the point where some people are turning back to his side, but others still refuse. All of this should have taken place at the mid-card level. The way The Rock and Austin turned people on their side before they even turned face, it was THE FANS/CROWD that showed Vince they belonged in the Main Event with a Super Face Push, but with Cena and hell Orton to, it was Vince making the decision, Not the fans.

  13. Soulfly. I saw them live twice before I ever decided to pick up and album. Their live show is super-fun as they always bring out the tribal drums and do some jamming and other fun shit along with their normal songs. It came off awesome live, but the albums themselves were very underwhelming.
  14. I figured that the one of the Kane's discovered time travel, and was sent back in time to warn unmasked Kane of impending doom. Unmasked Kane, afraid of creating a time & space paradox, wants nothing to do with Masked Kane in fear of destruction of the universe.
  15. Yes it is rather sad. What about what you have seen from RVD as champ do you hate so much that you would want Triple H to have the title back? Has RVD not been involved in good matches since ONS? The consensus around here seems to think so, I would like to hear what you actually have a problem with, rather then these one-line zingers you keep throwing at RVD, or is this just Leena "The Heel" at work? It's not so much about RVD. While I'm not the biggest fan of his workrate, and even less of his charisma and speaking skills... He feels entirely like the 3rd wheel in this title feud. He only has the title because of "ECW", which has been nothing but a failure, IMO. Plus, I'd much rather see ol' HHH who bitched about the title 24/7/365 than this horrible, midlife crisis, DX rehash. Bare butts and midgets are hilarious~! Well you are right, not only does RVD feel like the 3rd wheel, but the entire WWE TITLE SITUATION feels like the mid-card of WWE, because of the super lame DX reunion(did I mention not a damn thing they have done thus far has been funny?) However wouldn't you say that is more a problem with the WWE writers/creative team? I mean it isn't RVD's fault that when he finally wins the title, Vince chooses to make the title/champion a mid-card attraction. Trust me, if it wasn't RVD, it would just be Cena or Edge as the "third wheel" so at least this time the belt is on someone different for a change. Me personally, I'd take the good/entertaining matches that RVD has been putting on since becoming champ, over Triple H standing in the ring for 20 minutes to open every single Raw to talk about how he is god, the game, the best wrestler ever, the king of kinds etc etc etc.
  16. Well RVD/Angle is happening so early that it is too hard to speculate if this is just a random match for ratings purposes, or if this is actually the start of an ACTUAL ECW FEUD/STORYLINE....hmmm. I guess we will have to tune in and see, lol.

  18. Seriously, people overrate the difficulty of running PPVs in big cities that are "outside" of the region. When ECW ran a PPV in Los Angeles, it was their first damn time ever in California, and the crowd was exciting and hot as hell. There are enough fans of TNA most likely to bring them out for ONE SHOW, especially a PPV.
  19. For a cheap night of drunkeness, Mickeys gets the job done.
  20. My girlfriend's dad always goes on those charter boats, where you pay a fee for the day and if you catch anything they filet the fish right there on the boat for you, so I always call that HYBRID fishing, lol. He always invites me, but with too little of notice. I will make it out there one of these days though.
  21. See the thing is, I think people still aren't understanding the mentality of marks. If you are a WWE Mark, and RVD "joins ECW" then in your mind, you are supposed to boo him. I guarantee if he came out on Raw next week and renounced ECW and said "I am WWE 4 life etc etc etc" he would get nearly all of his face heat back, however no matter how much WWE marks liked him a year ago, they aren't going to like a guy that badmouths WWE and leaves to join another show. So when people on here act like RVD is getting booed because he is stale or boring or people just don't like him anymore, they need to remember the ratio of smarks-to-marks in the crowd and who they are directed at to boo and cheer. Call me weird, but I enjoyed the fact that the crowd actually showed life during the Main Event tonight. All during the match we were getting some type of vocal response from the crowd, whether it was for RVD or Cena or against RVD or Cena. Unlike the usual Raw Main Event where the crowd pops and boos for the entrances, then goes to sleep during the match until the obvious run-in finish. The crowd was alive and kicking for this match.
  22. Blade: The Series > Kyle XY Watch it, Wednesday on Spike
  23. The Main Event was about as good of a Cena match as I have seen in awhile. It might not have been a technical masterpiece, but it was actually entertaining. Thank You RVD.... Also, RVD should be getting booed, once he turned "ECW" he should be the heel to the marks, and marks always outnumber smarks at WWE show. It's no coincidence that RVD was getting massive cheers up until he "turned ECW" which coincided directly with the start of his Cena program. Kind of funny how they wouldn't let him confront Cena until it was assured that he wouldn't be the bigger face of the two. I am not sure why people think Cena was getting so many cheers. I just got done watch the Main Event and to me it breaks down like this 75% booing RVD 25% Cheering RVD/ECW 60% booing Cena 40% trying to get a "lets go cena" chant going, but failing as everytime it starts up, it draws boos and jeers. With the Cena/RVD feud the crowd is confused. They aren't SUPPOSED to cheer for RVD because he is the "ECW guy" but most of the MALES in the crowd don't care for Cena either. So the crowd is more about booing them both rather then overwhemingly cheering for either one. Whenever Cena gets cheers, I swear it basically sounds like Jeff Hardy fans, went from 13 years old to 16 years old, washed off the makeup/paint and discovered "thug life" Other then that, I am not sure why people think he is getting that many cheers.
  24. Not that it is even worth mentioning, but seriously, Brooke Hogan's song/video is offering nothing new to the music industry. Typical Mariah Carrey-esque pop with random hip hop guy in the background saying, "yeah, uh-huh" over and over through the entire song. Ugh.
