Getting Ash involved throws a big loop in the story, a good loop though.

I think my gf bought the original dvd release for $5.99, so I have no problem double-dipping for this jam packed release~!
-
Let me ask a question. On dvds that say "enhanced for 16x9 tvs" does that mean because the screen itself is a rectangle, that there are no black bars period? How exactly does that work?
-
Actually, I am fully prepared to be flamed and laughed right out of the WWE forum for saying this, but I think Albert was better in the ring then Batista and overall, not that bad for a hoss. I mean, he wasn't charasmatic, and probably couldn't cut a promo to save his life, but his in-ring work to me was a lot better then Batista. Batista's promos right now as already mentioned are basically one-liners to playoff of HHH's rants and lectures. I don't get where people think he has developed anything more then that as far as promos/mic work go. Oh and "another Hogan or Austin"

Are these HD-ready or HD-built in? Also, are these 16X9 screens?

Uh-huh and under what basis did George Bush even have in the first place to use the "mushroom cloud" reference? What DO YOU think he was implying? What do you think Bush and his administration would be the reaction of the GENERAL PUBLIC hearing such a reference. I am leaning towards it having the implication that if we didn't go to war and bomb the hell out of Iraq, that we might be nuked by them in the future, as ludicrous as that is, it seemed to have quite the effect on people. All your research did was support my argument, in the way Bush twisted words, and purposely misled people. And to think Bush once accused Gore of "fuzzy math"

I also don't get the "Safe haven in Iraq" reasoning. I mean, lets be blunt here, some of the 9/11 hijackers lived in America for over a year or more before 9/11 and even LEARNED HOW TO FLY PLANES in AMERICA. Does that mean America was a nation giving safe harbor to terrorists, and training them? Terrorist taking up residence in your country does not mean you are protecting them or keeping them safe. It just may happen that terrorists are keeping a low profile and happen to live within your borders. Also, it has never been elaborated on ever, where exactly these "Al Qaeda training camps" were located, or if they even existed in the first place. We have terrorist training camps here in America right? I mean militias live in the backwoods and train their members how to use assault rifles, military weapons and other various weapons that are illegal for civilian use. I don't see a huge effort to bring them down, but I certainly wouldn't say that means our government is giving them "safe haven" or "harboring" them. I mean, how exactly do you classify a "terrorist training camp" a bunch of guys with machine guns, running on an obstacle course out in the middle of the desert? Something tells me maybe the Iraqi government technology was not sophisticated enough to monitor every inch of their country.

It will be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to Batista following his first high profile loss on PPV. Be it a title match or not. Also, the problem with WWE these days regarding the belt, is that they aren't building people up with the fan support before they get the belt. They are just handpicking who they want as champion and just hoping the fans will come around after 6 months. That isn't a recipe for success.

Throw me into the - "How in the hell did Giamatti not get a nomination" group.

ok I will give it a try~!

At work we are allowed internet access, within reasonable use, like checking email, and doing mild surfing during breaks and slow periods. Now of course people abuse the fuck out of this policy, and I tried to come here the other day, but the companies software autoblocks this site because they say it is classified as a game site. Not "gaming" like gambling, but just a game site, which is odd because I can use yahoo which has a grip of games on their site. I am just wondering if there is something specific about this site, maybe in the html coding or something, that sets off a red light to the company's software!?!

The problem is, Triple H is basically already the GM, by interrupting whenever he wants, basically having a promo every other segment in the show, and dictating the night's more important events almost every week. This almost requires Bischoff to be a face or at least NEUTRAL, for Raw to flow smoothly.

Well then, that saved me a post in this thread.

I am looking to avoid all the lead up to the Superbowl, as I have a big paranoid delusion that there is going to be WAAAY to much coverage given to the "WILL TO PLAY OR NOT" factor, which really, doesn't matter whatsoever anyway.

Not just the WMDs, it was the supposed "threat" that Iraq imposed to OUR american livelihood. There was nothing said about the poor Iraqis and their torture chambers and/or mass graves, until after the WMD claims were starting to prove to be a bunch of bologna, so they switched strategies. You do remember Bush saying if this conflict wasn't resolved soon, it would "end with a mushroom cloud" Yes, Bush said "mushroom cloud" impying Iraq was going to launch nuclear weapons at us.....LOL. Bush and his administration wanted to spread a notion of fear because when people are in fear, or believe they SHOULD be in fear, they will stop thinking rationally. Vwala.......Public Support for the Iraq war. What do the latest polls say, 70/30 favor of people saying THE IRAQ WAR WAS NOT WORTH IT. It took the general public awhile, but they are coming around, but of course it is too late as the mess has been created and we are stuck.

He can certainly take advantage of it, though. Which is exactly what my entire post said. It was a clever manipulation of words, images, and associations to portray the situation as something it wasn't. This is becoming clearer by the day now; all you have to do is, like I said, examine all the dialed-down rhetoric in the administration's speeches on the subject these days. But you won't do that, so I'm not sure why I'm bothering. You keep saying this, and NoCalMike has challenged you to produce it. The President saying "there's a connection" doesn't count. I'll use your own words here and say The fact that McHaggis is still stuck on "Bush didn't imply this" is a sign that our work is done here, and the cause is hopeless.

The Patriots just made the league's #1 rated defense their bitches. Why is it unfair to believe they can handle Eagles Defense similarly?
-
The Eagles offense right now relies way to much on that 40+ yd pass out of nowhere to bail them out, it seems even when their offense is struggling overall, they can always go to that long bomb to bail them out. The Patriots defense is much too disciplined and smart to shut the Eagles down and then take a nap on 3rd & Long. Also, you can bet the Patriots will tackle a hell of a lot better then Atlanta, and you can bet that all those runs by Westbrook where he should have been stopped for losses, will be just that against the Pats.
-
Thanks, you kind of summed it up for me. Basically McHaggis. We, the american people were given what we all like to refer to as the bait & switch. Led to believe something, and just as the truth is coming out, given a completly different set of reasons/circumstances/scenarios etc. Wasn't there also a poll not to long ago, saying something like 60%+ of the american public though we found WMDs in Iraq!?! I mean I am sorry but if the media is this liberal machine, they are sure as hell doing one shitty-assed job.
-
Well for one, I have never seen any documentation/reports or solidified FACTUAL accounts of Iraq training Al Qaeda in bomb making and deadly gases. Secondly, why was Iraq singled out as "cheering on Sept. 11th" as they were hardly the only ones celebrating. Like I said, it is statements slyly put together in order to sway public opinion. I also don't find it necessary to go look up these statements and quote them when you can try for yourself to look up archives of this very forum when myself and others were making these claims in 2003.

I couldn't get over how much Vick seemed to second guess himself on the field today. I mean there were plenty of 3rd and shorts where there were wide open running lanes, but he chose to dance around too much and try and find a WR, where if he just ran like usual, the drive continues. Oh well.... Pats 31 Eagles 17

Correct me if I am wrong, but Vitali has not been talking shit. For the most part he just wanted Lewis never to retire in the first place so he could try and prove that he could legitimately beat Lewis. Also, I have heard some interviews of Vitali on various sports programs and Vitali was getting tired of Lennox Lewis talking all this shit through Vitali's opponents. Like, the fighters would say shit like "I trained with Lennox, and he told me just how to beat Vitali" I mean that gets old after awhile.
-
I have already talked about this. After 9/11 happened, Bush took the oppurtunity to use Saddam & Iraq in every statement, speech & sentence that Bin Laden/Taliban/Al Qaeda were used in, when they had no business being grouped together. As time went on, Bin Laden and Al Qaeda was slowly but surely dropped from these speeches, and Saddam/Iraq was used more, until eventually the entire forcus of our nightly news was on Iraq and Saddam. Over time, the mass naturally blurred the two, and leading up to the war, over 70% of the public felt that Saddam was directly responsible in some fashion for 9/11. This was just the general explanation of course, since I don't have access to every single one of his speeches and/or video feeds of all his speeches.

Who'd expect anything less from Dobson?

Although the Fox News anchor was clearly ambushed here, it is still quite amusing that she had really no defense for anything said.
