  1. Can anyone confirm or deny a report from an ABC radio report that there 4000 candidates on the Iraqi ballots?
  2. The thing is, Owens knows that if he gets on the field, he will become a media darling either way. It is a no-lose situation for Owens. If he catches a single pass, he is a hero, more brave then William Wallace and Maximum combined. If the Eagles go on to lose regardless, it will STILL be blamed on Owens not being healthy. Owens is just positioning himself to come off looking good.
  3. He doesn't care. The Super Bowl is the big time, and he might never get back. It is the job of the Eagles to tell him they can't afford a career ending injury and need him next year. If Reid lets him play, he is making a big mistake. His job depends on more than just one game. If TO shatters his leg in a game that they probably won't win anyways, and the Eagles go 7-9 next year, is Reid going to be in a good position? Did the Eagles go 7-9 in the three previous years before T.O. when they were in the NFC Championship? No. Was T.O. on the field when the Eagles won the championship this year? No. Were the Falcons the weakest out of their NFC Championship opponents? Yes.
  4. Well do you think Bush might divulge a little bit more information this time as to how this 100million is going to be spent, or is it just another "please sign this check without having a clue where it is going" campaigns? Probably more of the same. Off-hand do you remember the government official that predicted Iraq would cost 100-200 billion and he was promptly fired and silenced as Bush officials said it would never cost nearly that much... Oh and I can't even view that link right now, as my work has a block on webpages that fall under the category "advocacy groups" LOL.

  6. watching the clip, look at the front row of the people with their backs to the camera. They are all just standing there, except for one jackass jumping up and down to cheer for Vince.
  7. I was thinking the finish was botched merely for the fact that after Vince orders the match to be re-started, it ends up finishing under 30 seconds later. I mean that is pretty darn anti-climatic to BE PLANNED. Hype up the RESTART and then it finishes 10 seconds later? Come on.....
  8. Question regarding the elections: Does anyone know the breakdown of what each candidate stands for, and the difference between each of them? I am just interested to see what these candidates represent and how exactly they ended up on the ballot. I mean besides the current interm PM, I haven't heard much at all about the other "candidates."
  9. Is the transformation scene from "An American Werewolf in London" on the list?
  10. I am excited that The Thing was so high on the list.
  11. If Evolution adds any members between now and WM, it is obvious Batista will get jumped, but it will also be stale since it will be exactly the way Orton left.
  12. The movie targets big media in general. Basically the last half hour ties in the media's cheerleading into trying to muster Bush's support to pressure the FCC to give them more power and consolidation privelages, and how it was not likely Bush and Co. would give that to networks questioning his every move. There is a chapter dedicated to Fox, but it is mostly about how Fox's popularity drove other networks to a more conservative and war-friendly attitude, by replacing their liberals hosts with more conservative hosts and such. However, the film rails on CNN/MSNBC/CBS etc....just as much as Fox. It is about big corporate media PERIOD, as most all have common interests in the end. They do cover a big portion on how the director feels CNN did just a poor of job with the Gulf War as the media overall is doing now.
  13. I am convinced now all we need is a professional script writer, and we are gonna archive this thread, patten the idea, and figure out how to share 100 million in movie profits about 10 ways.
  14. Look again, my hair is washed, and has a SLAYER beanie covering a lot of it. Hippies and Slayer don't mix.
  15. It does stand to be said that Busch(the beer, not the prez) is one of the leading advocates to keep marijuana illegal and fund the effort with a lot of money because they know how much cheaper it would be to get stoned, then to buy overpriced beer.
  16. Weapons of Mass Deception So it opens Feb. 4th, but it screened at a theater here tonight, and this documentary is truly mind-blowing. Basically an expose on the media's lack of criticism/fact checking/honest reporting leading up and during the war including post saddam capture. No it isn't just about Fox News, it covers pretty much all mainstream media in america. I know there are going to be people on here that won't give it a chance, writing it off as "hippie bullshit" and what not, but I think it deserves a chance to be seen by everyone, not just people like me, who didn't really need any convincing in the first place. Enjoy~!

    A-Rod starting crap

He does. No he doesn't. When you pitch like he pitched in the condition he was in, you say what you want. Umm, it's not like his shit-talking started AFTER that series, or even during his year as a member of the Red Sox. Schilling is a classic shit talker, has been throughout his career. I am not even dogging him for it, however I am just saying that when you start calling people out, over and over again, expect to get something back.

  19. No, but if it was legal, it is unlikely people would need to buy it anyway. I mean everyone would know SOMEONE that grew it. Unless they tried to make it illegal to grow your own or something, but that of course would still keep the black market problem alive. I mean that is the unique thing about Marijuana, you just grow it, harvest it, smoke it. It is just that a PLANT. Which is hard to understand why it was ever made illegal in the first place.
  20. I think the decision should ultimately be up to TO. He has been in the league, what 8 years now? He just has to ask himself, would it be worth risking his career, even if the Eagles lose and he either has to retire due to screwing up his ankle even more, but then on the other hand, could he live with himself if the Eagles are in position to win on like the final drive, and the WRs can't shake the defenders, and he is on the sideline..... It is a risk/reward dilemma.

    A-Rod starting crap

A-Rod is acting like a child here, but at the same time it is nice of someone to finally answer back to Schilling who seems to think he has this divine right to call people out and insult them and not get anything back in return.
  22. uh-oh, there goes any peace and harmony this thread had......*prepares for the assault to begin*
  23. Sounds like what we now need is an army of Maniac Cops to make sure the zombies are law abiding living dead citizens.
  24. I bought my copy of Zombie several years ago, I've got The Beyond too. Argento... well, I don't wanna get into that argument again, let's just say that I've seen several of his movies and they didn't do anything for me. I second the recommendations for Dog Soldiers and the DOTD remake, both of which I enjoyed very much. I had the initial release of "Zombie" too. When they screened it here at one of the Trash Film Orgies down at the indy theater, my gf's brother was with us, and he loved it, so when the 2-disc 25th anniversary came out, I double-dipped and gave him the bare bones release. Argento, well I don't expect everyone to like him. I don't even really argue about it, some people like him, some don't. Just as well.
  25. Lets go ahead and throw in Demonic Zombies, the "Night of the Demons" brand and the Mario Bava "Demons" brand........
