I remember the entire "alternative" genre of rock music started to come into question as Smashing Pumpkins would continue to win awards under the "alternative band" category, but people started asking the question of, how can you be considered the alternative when your album is the top selling album out there. I think I was about 16 or so at the time, and that is really when I started question thing such as, the radio, mtv's music, and mainstream "artists" in general.

Christian Bale will be robbed. No way he should not at least be nominated for The Machinist. Don Cheadles for Best Actor is also a possibility. I hope one of those two win it.

I like Bayless, he usually has the guts to not go with whever the current media love is pushing and he will go out on a limb. He also is hilarious on the radio when he sits in for Rome. As far as Jim Rome goes. I am a huge fan of his radio show, however I feel his TV shows fail at giving the same vibe. I see him trying to work it, but it doesn't feel the same. Also, if you listen to his radio show daily, it becomes obvious that a lot of his material for the tv show is recycled from his best soundbites from the week's worth of radio show.

Using the term "Ghengis Kahn" was a mistake, but I really find it kind of despicable how you are automatically assuming Kerry is making anything up, when it could just as easily be the other side of a bunch of bitter guys trying to downplay atrocities that happened, as there are some in the group that still try and claim no atrocities ever happened. Why is it so hard to believe that maybe soldiers that witnessed or participated in these things might have a vested interest in downplaying these actions? I always loved the defense of "well I didn't see anything happen in my area, so NOTHING happened"

I haven't seen the american iron chef series yet, but the original japanese series is awesome.

The funniest thing was the local news here was reporting on this, and the last sentence regading Henry was ".......and he has also been linked with marijuana use" like, that is just something SOOOOO abnormal for a youngster. Umm, excuse me, but you have to be fucking kidding me right? No one, including the dissenters were saying there were no WMDs there? I think you need to go re-read the archives of this forum leading up to the invasion of Iraq and the following 5-8 months. There was plenty of sources including many close to the whitehouse that told George Bush that there were no WMDs.

I still don't get why Kerry not lying, but possibly exaggerating after coming back from WAR and COMBAT is ever even suggested to be put on the same level as SBVT's outright BULLSHIT.

What dissapointed me so much about part 3 was that it was just way off base with the first two. Now granted, the magic of the original can probably never be repeated, but there was no reason that they couldn't have made the sequels to at least follow the structure of part 2, which was full of cheese, but entertaining cheese.

Return of the Living dead was a freakin' classic. The Punk-Zombie theme was badass. Also the comedic nature of it all was awesome. Return of the Living dead 2 - was cheezy but still decent, gone was the punk theme, but some of the intentional comedy was still up to par, considering two of the guys from the original reprised similar roles. Return of the Living Dead 3 - Sucked. I know the original can NEVER be replicated whatsoever, so I hope parts 4&5 are at least more like Part 2, then Part 3.

I'm afraid to see Napolean Dynamite now. I considered seeing it in theaters, where it seems that no one saw it then. Once the DVD hit, it seems to be huge, and everyone has seen it and loves it. Kind of like what happened with Office Space. Of course I saw Office Space in the theater, and even after it's dvd success I still don't think it is overrated. So I guess this means I will be checking out Napolean Dynamite.

Arnie is a big business profiteer oppurtunist populist......is those descriptions even belong together!?! He ran on a ticket of bringing people together, but really that just meant trying tro convince the democrats to vote for every tax break or de-regulation or kick-back to big business that he proposed. Sound familiar? I will admit, Arnold is pretty good for my liking on social issues, but a lot of the time he seems unattached to most issues and almost has to make decisions on everything at the eleventh hour, or has to be coaxed into reversing some decision at the last second. Arnold's main goal supposedly is to bring business back to CA in a big way, but the problem is, he wants to do this by using George W Bush's model of "lets makes corporations less accountable for anything and everything they do, lets not charge them taxes, and lets not give the people the oppurtunity to bring lawsuits against them in any case"

Sure god is a puppet master of sorts. I mean God quite frankly could put an end to any and all speculation of his existence with one swoop at any given time. Then there would never again be a quesiton in anyone's mind. God could easily turn faith into fact over night. I understand the free will argument, but really it is just saying, well yeah you have free will and all, but if you chooses to take that option yer gonna burn in hell for it.

I think the Best Director category is often screwed up because the voters fail to look at why directors should win it. I mean Tarrantino is one of those guys that will never win one, but I believe he should because his movies, really leave his own personal stamp on the style of acting and the actual directing. Much like Scorceses mob films, you really get the feel that it was Scorcese stamped. Now compare that with a movie full of good actors and writing, but nothing that distinctly screams out that it was that certain director that did it.

Well his own post veered off from the original point to a point of not trusting where the donation money is going, so I just decided to compare it to Bush asking for billions for Iraq, while outright refusing to lay out a semi-detailed plan of where the money was going to be used.

As opposed to giving our government a blank check worth billions of dollars to help fund and pay for haliburton over-inflated contracts and for the services for their price gouging, oh and with the left over money, a few soldiers will get some armor.

Instead explain to me the whole purpose behind God sacrificing jesus "for our sins" I am not really sure what it was meant to show, or do, or what it acheived in the long run? I mean what was the purpose of the event?

I wonder if for the ECW PPV, they will allow them to work with the smaller ring size that ECW & WCW used. I think this could really help out with cruiser matches, and if Super Crazy/Taijiri get to have a 20+ minute match in that smaller ring, it could be awesome.

NFL: I hate the cowboys because they are the 'Skins biggest rivals. Also the rest of the NFC East is pretty high on the list. I would also say I loathe the 49ers/Raiders for the fact that I live in their territory. MLB: Yankees, for pretty much the same reason as everyone else. The Red Sox, for duping suckers into thinking they are anything more then Yankees-lite. Also I can't stand the Mariners. NBA: Lakers, well I am a Kings fan. I also not high on the Sonics.
