Once Ashcroft goes, it can only get better from there.

How many people here have "domestic partnership" laws in their state? Which was basically created as an avenue to give Gays, company benefits. It was essentially made, for the fact that Gays can't get married, however Heterosexuals then sued and said if you don't let non-married heterosexual partners participate, then it is discrimination, LOL. So you'd think corporate america would be in favor of gay marriage or civil unions so they could wipe out their "domestic partner" benefits pack. The "domestic partner" benefits seem like the first logical step towards at least, Civil Unions.

WTF....the today show was giving press to "Seed of Chucky" ? LOL.....wow. Oh and yes Jennifer Tilly is one hell of a MILF.

Forget Sharpton. He might make sense on more then a few instances, however he comes with far too much baggage.

Hmm......Washington with the #1 defense, against Detroit with the worst offense(yardage-wise). However Detroit is at home and have a +12 turnover margin. Plus Washington's offense sucks. I want to be a homer and pick the Skins, since last week I swallowed my pride and picked Green Bay......but I dunno this week.

well unless gay marriage enters the political arena.

I am not saying there aren't practical aspects of the bible.
-
Religion is not practical. Not saying it is wrong or right, that is a different discussion, but Religion in itself is not practical at all, that is why you have to have FAITH.
-
And this isn't making a case. The only person who did so thus far is Loss. -=Mike well I wasn't trying to make a case for it. That was about 10 "gay marriage" threads ago.
-
There is no practical reason against Gay Marriage, none what-so-ever. There just isn't. There are religious reasons though, and that seems to trump everything else. Oh and the "ewww dicks inside asses is gross, creepy, keep it away....keep it away" factor, that people deny right through their teeth.

A DRUDGE exclusive I am sure.......

It's good to see liberals are already taking John Kerry's actually grateful and practical advise to unite again as a country and work together.... Well, Bush is being divisive. You know, winning a majority. -=Mike Sure, a majority of what percentage of registered voters? Yes yes, I know those who don't vote "don't get a voice" and all that, but unless 100% of eligible voters, voted, stop using this "majority" nonsense. The country is split and you know it. It hurts me more then gloating will make you feel good, that much of Kerry's base stayed home, but I have to deal with it, it is over, Bush is the President for the next four years.

It's good to see liberals are already taking John Kerry's actually grateful and practical advise to unite again as a country and work together.... I believe Kerry was directing his comments towards Bush uniting the country through policy, not for the citizens just to start supporting Bush.

I've woken up now and I'm putting all these pieces together and I'm still not figuring it out. I shit talk because I care and I like to think I have it right, even if other people don't agree. Though I restrained myself from making comments about it because it is so cliche, I seriously did at one point consider relocation in the past twelve hours, for about five seconds or so until I realized that my family is falling apart financially so I can just about forget it. But man, what a bunch of people who don't agree. I think my biggest problem with this one is that I still just don't get it. I don't know why people would vote for this guy. I know the reasons why John Kerry sucks, I've heard them here plenty of times and I've factored them in, but it still makes no sense. Especially the spending, because of the Congress races as well. People either do not recognize, or do not care, about Bush's credit card economics. I like to think the former, and we could have done a better job communicating that instead of talking about Purple Hearts for the better part of a season. That said, I'm pretty sad that our country will continue to have no fiscal responsibility for the immediate future. The other thing that I just don't understand is the amount of people, allegedly, who decided to vote over morality, which is something I very clearly believe wouldn't be legislated. That there's so many talking heads saying this could be a result of the echo chamber, but I think there's more to it. Watching our media last night, one would forget we were in a failing post-war effort to win the peace in Iraq. The way they make it sound, one would think people actually came out to the polls just to vote against gay marriage, and then decided to vote for a President while they were there. The mind boggles. To those voices who say we need to compromise our values and do more catering to the south and social conservatives by squelching our agenda, shut up. I would much rather lose more races as important as this one than win because of the bigot vote (which does not count for all of Bush's vote, of course, so don't bark up that tree, but it does exist, and it did clearly go to Bush.) If that happens, I'm switching to Independent. Bush won the popular vote, I'm sure I'll have this rubbed in my face, and it doesn't change my opinion that the electoral system is outdated and needs changing. Either something like the Colorado proposition (which had no chance in hell of passing during this election, unfortunately) or an outright removal of the system and going to something like the Brits' Parliament, which would require a lot of interesting amendments. I am not sure we will ever have another Presidential election without five news stations and three networks all bearing down on one state that makes the others irrelevant. At least this time it wasn't Florida. Lastly, I think the packing of Daschle was a good thing, and it's time to send Terry with him. The whole Clinton thing is done. Hillary should not be clearing out her calendar for 2008. While Bill is a great speaker and has his fans, they'll be voting for us anyways as long as we don't compromise now. So, congratulations Republicans. If something fucks up now, there's no more blaming it on the past four years. Jobber, it is as simple as this. The evangelical vote turned out, and the african-american/youth vote did not. The country is still split. The same people who disliked Bush's first four years, will dislike this next four even more. It isn't like Bush was turning out all these liberals and democrats to vote for him. He simply was better at throwing out the red meat to focus groups much better then Kerry was. Well that and Kerry not being a very good opponent in the first place.

No doubt influenced by their parental units Please. No doubt influenced by a personal conviction. The "sheep" mentality is a stupid fallback point. Personal conviction eh? Is this code for "cuz dat's who jaysus wood vote fer" ? Sorry, sorry... I just read a report about the evangelicals and how they secured the vote despite being the least informed of the voting bloc... and I got angry. Least informed by whose standards? It's just kind of funny hearing that. I look at the people here at my college verses the super-liberals at liberal schools around her who would worship Michael Moore if given the chance and the word "uninformed" just doesn't seem to apply to the people here. I don't think he is referring to the students at your college.

Hey Jobber, I guess on the bright side........ Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely.........right....RIGHT?
-
The country is still split. We are in the same boat as we have been for the last couple of years, only difference is now, the country has to deal with it for another four years.

This election appearantly didn't teach you anything. We're down to state by state laws now, and that's what it'll always be for wedge issues. You can't make Mississippi and California fit into the same profile. Thank god some people out there (some of them even against us) keep rooting for states' rights, because that's what we got left to work with. Ok, but with state's rights, they only work out if the Feds don't try to stop it somehow. Ala, the gay marrage amendment. And just to let you know, ever since CA passed the medical marijuana law, there have been frequent raids by the feds on the shops. THis taking place even though CA voted to make it pefectly legal.
-
Our country is not ready for legalization of drugs yet. We are about 5 steps away. The first step is to approve medical marijuana NATIONALLY and we aren't even there yet, although a bunch of states did just pass it in this election. Alaska did have a prop to outright legalize marijuana but it didn't pass.

When you have been living in poverty for a generation or two, and you have seen Presidents go in and out of office, with no change. You start to not care, and figure neither one really has your interests in mind. It is up to the candidates to grab you and/or move you in some way to want to vote for them.
-
This election proved that the Democrat candidate needs to be able to somewhat inspire the youth to vote, and be able to identify with minorities, especially african americans. Kerry did neither. Bush, be it because of the gay marriage issue or whatever, somehow identified with the evangelical folks, and they turned out in droves, much higher numbers then blacks and/or youth. It doesn't hurt that you have preachers basically saying not to vote for a pro-choice candidate. Also since a lot of hispanics are deep rooted into religion, I am sure Bush got a raise from them. So it looks like it is blacks/youth vs. Religious fanatics. And sadly more religious fanatics are actually going to turn out and vote. As far as the democrats getting better. Who knows. Kerry tried the Bush-lite act and it failed miserably. It would have been nice to actually have an anti-war candidate, because all Bush did was hammer away on Kerry voting for the war, and then not funding it(which is actually just sneaky wording) but it stuck with people.

A good tip for the lowrider mission. The perfect car for this race can be found in the driveway of the house ajacent to the mission start house. Look across the street and down about 2-3 houses. The car will be sitting there in the driveway ready to take. It is fast and controls very well. Basically to win the race all you need to to is get to the end of that long straightaway in first place, and you can basically cruise the rest of the way.

he actually looks creepy.

You can do any of the missions with the $ sign on them in any order. My advice in the gas tanker one is to get out of the gas tanker right after you hook up the tank and shoot up those guys' car. The guides suggest they drive like maniacs and tend to explode themselves by accident, but they actually cost me the mission the first time. The second time I lost because I accidentally jacknifed. And, if you didn't notice already, the chick you're with is from GTA3. She's the asshole that shoots you in the face at the start, and you get revenge on in the end. So am I officially in a new area, or are these mountain missions just an extension of the first city? I did notice now it does let me go to San Fierro without giving me 4 stars for doing it.
