Well considering Gore and Ted Kennedy also were. The Bush = Hitler has died down, and was overblown from the start anyway. It was another example of sensationalism in the media, there are just as many folks in Kentucky who think Kerry and the democrats are part of Al Qaeda, as there are in Mass that think Bush = Hitler.......hindsight is 20/20 on this specific topic, and no other rationalization will be excepted by me personally. .

"frre" flatscreen tvs huh?

...and if none of it is proven true then what? So far I really haven't seen anything of substance from these guys. They all just seem very angry and betrayed by Kerry's actions post-vietnam tour, and possibly rightfully so, that isn't MY judgement to make since I wasn't in vietnam, however it does seem like they are just a group of bitter men that don't want Kerry as President, and someone on the right threw them a wad of cash to help things along not caring if there was any truth to the accusations, but rather knowing that this would be damaging to Kerry whether the accusations were proven true or not.
-
well that isn't an accusation though, that is the truth. The accusation is that they were destroyed on purpose because they were pretty much THE documents that would settle all of this once and for all.

That, basically, IS charged in the book. One of the charges is that, I believe, his Silver Star was not even awarded by his C.O at the time of the mission. The charge, in essence, is that he sought out a higher up to award him a medal based solely on his word. -=Mike ok, well are they showing that there is a precidence for this in the military with other cases to prove this, or are they just simply claiming Kerry asked and the higher up delievered. Also, wouldn't this look down more on the higherup and the system then Kerry himself? Haven't finished the book yet, so I can't say. -=Mike jesus chrimminey.......you bought the book?

Small ball has more to do with the coach's startegy/philosophy in attacking the game then moneyball does. The A's may never win a world system under the current system, but as far as other teams in their price range, I'd say the A's offer the most exciting and entertaining product out there today. Also they are trying dammit, it is not like they get to Game 5 of playoff series and "Moneyball" rears it's ugly head. I would attribute injuries, a couple of HORRIBLY BAD CALLS, and lack of a dominant closer as to why the A's lost their 1st round playoff series, not moneyball.

and Yankees fans around the world rejoice......

I still love the notion people are trying to toss around, that Kerry kind of just asked for a medal for no reason and his commanding officer just said, "sure, kid, now run a long and play" It's not like Kerry was anyone special or recognizable at the time to where anyone would have felt any extra pressure to give him a medal.

I'm looking at the polls of realclearpolitics.com --- and NONE of the swing states seem to be outside the margin of error presently. I'm still sticking with my historical perspective: If a challenger does not give a real reason for people to vote for him --- namely, fairly sizable differences in present policy --- they will not win the election. -=Mike has a massive panic attack......a nice calm response~!

Well considering Bush and the cowboys persona was basically one big fucking facade, complete with folding line still in his jacket when he would appear in front of the camera, "digging dirt" or "having a hoe-down" or whatever his people told him would appeal to the midwest. He is from connecticut and the entire ranch was bought for him three months before his campaign.

Tyler, seriously is it me, or is the night activity at TSM dead nowadays? I remember back in the day, CE forums were kicking like crazy way into the late-night.......what happened?

Well I have completed Config I & II, and now I am in the A+ prep class/software class. To me so far the software part seems to be easier because a lot of it is based on logic and there is a lot of hints in software to make things easier, as to where the hardware exams seem to be all about you cramming as much info on the 100000000 different types of connectors, IO addresses, IRQ interrupts etc......into your brain as possible to remember for a test. Of course I am sure that the software portion will get harder since I am only 2 days into it. I passed the first practice exam for the hardware part, so I need to pass one more and then the school gives me a voucher to take the hardware exam for free....

well just prepare yourself for a quote tag followed by a response filled with...... "he served in Vietnam" ? "you fucking moron" "unmitigated bullshit" "biased source" "yeah, well I bet Al Qaeda is predicting a Kerry win also"

Dammit Tyler, now you've done it. Contact a Mod and have 'em close this damn thread before MikeSC sees this......

as of right now like every other time this topic has been posted, it is basically 50/50 and the winner will tip the scales in about 2 months from now.

The election....what it looks like? Two subpar choices. Bush vs. Kerry, whoever wins, america loses

The one weakness on the A's has been their revolving door at the Closer position. It really has nothing to do with "see Moneyball sucks"
-
eh, maybe, but anyone who wants to do it is not deterred for it being against the law. I haven't met anyone EVER that has said, "Gee, I really wanted to smoke a joint and get drunk, IF ONLY IT WASN'T FOR THE DAMN LAW......AHHH" People either drink/do drugs or they don't. The laws on this subject haven't really mattered what-so-ever, in a long time if ever.

Personally, I don't think Dubya is evil or anything like that. I do however think he was underqualified to be the president and is overall not a very sharp guy, and because of this he has had to surround himself with a-holes who have their own agenda and will use George W's status as President and figure-head to achieve their own personal goals(PNAC). I also don't think George W wants to see our country suffer, but I also think he doesn't have a superior general knowledge of the world and foreign policy that a President should have, he did by the way say that foreign policy wasn't important awhile back, and the latest soundbyte of him answering someone's question about defining a soveign nation was just, quite frankly embarrasing. Now don't get me wrong, hearing a man slip up does not make me generate hatred for the guy, but rather I just don't understand why people would vote for someone who just doesn't come off very bright. Hell he might be a genius, and fooling us all with an act, but there is no way in hell you can tell me he comes off like someone who graduated from an Ivy League school. A Frat brother that I'd have a beer with and shoot some billiards with, sure, but the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, no. And quite frankly I am tired of both parties, and am pretty much done with them.
-
Maybe so, but for one it has been kicked up a notch since it is now an election year, and feel however you may, but the Clinton years surely set the stage for the future of the way perceive the "opposite party" There was just as many "Clinton = Commie" shirts being sold as "Bush = Hitler" shirts.
-
I never understood the complaining about one's poilitical party. If you don't like it, leave it, and just register as an independent. Just cause someone votes for Bush or Kerry doesn't make them a Republican or Democrat, and since you don't have to be registered as a certain party to vote for that candidate for president, who gives a damn!?!
-
it's was hilarious because at first the crowd was split 50/50....half of them happily singing along, the other half with the "did he just say that?" look on his face, but about halfway through the song, the rest of them kind of say "aww what the hell" and start singing along too....HILARIOUS.
-
How about not being a part of a political party, period.
-
That's YOUR problem. Hell, I'm almost hoping for mayhem --- as it will only hurt the left so much more. People don't want crazies running the gov't --- and the Democratic Party has been co-opted by them. -=Mike not my problem, I can care less actually. If people are dumb enough to base their vote on the action of a tiny group of people, then our country is in more trouble then we know. Oh and lets not pretend only one political party is co-opted by "crazies" In this election, however, one particular party has decided to embrace the crazies. Michael Moore is living proof of this. I don't remember seeing mainstream Democrats coming out praising Michael Moore, then again maybe I am not paying enough attention, and furthermore will not be voting for a democrat anyway.
