  1. Well hell, Fox News has made a pretty successful network out of doing just that.
  2. I still say US greed is what is causing the problem also along with the Mexican goverment not attempting to make a change. They want a thousand bucks for a green card, then it cost how many thousands to become a citizen? After how many years? You have people sneaking across the boader to make a better living for their families. Doing it legally, it would be kinda tough. Where exactly are poor people supposed to pull the thousand dollars from? I'd say the greed of the corporations is mainly what is driving immigration as they want the influx of cheap labor. I mean they are going to find it someway, either from illegal immigrants or prison which is packed with fresh bodies for stupid shit on a daily basis, which are now becoming privately owned and have contracts with major companies to do work for them for very cheap.
  3. I am still waiting for someone to provide examples of how outsourcing american jobs is benefiting the american worker. There has already been plenty of debate over whether it does or does not benefit the american consumer. Also, to me the real numbers to look at is wages, which haven't gone up in a long time. The top 1% are getting more of the pie then they did 30 years ago. The american worker's wages are not improving, yet the price of everything is going up, regardless of the fact that 90% of our products are being made in a tin-roof factory by children in china. Like I said before, I have always been told that outsourcing the production/IT jobs was supposed to open up all these new oppurtunities for "better" jobs, but all I have seen is people going from IT jobs to retail and customer service jobs.
  4. My best man/friend is flying in this friday for my wedding and he is bringing his 360 and along with it, Madden 08.....I can't wait!!!
  5. Besides the On-Demand service(or the lack thereof for me as a satellite owner) I prefer Satellite pretty much across the board.
  6. Stuffed Mushrooms I won't put amounts because it varies depending on how much you want to make: Portabella mushrooms italian sausage breadcrumbs onions black pepper red bell peppers sundried tomatoes mozzarella cheese parmasean cheese green onion Brown the sausage in a pan Scoop the mushroom stems out, so just the caps are there. then paint on some olive oil onto the empty caps Some people use the stems as part of the filling, so I would call it optional to chop them up. chop up remaining ingredients(easiest if you have a food chopper or food precessor) Bake in the oven for 20-25 mins at 350 degrees Now for the finishing touch..... Take the shrooms out of the oven and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over them generously Now set your oven to broil and put the mushrooms back in and watch the cheese melt and tan/brown a bit.....then take them out, let them cool a bit, and you are ready to chow down.
  7. My favorite alcohol hands down is Crown Royal. It is the one whiskey I like enough to just sip over some ice without any mixer. For beer, I am really digging the new Miller Chill beer. (The one that adds a little lime/salt flavor to it) My favorite all-time beer is Newcastle.
  8. When I said the 360 had peaked I didn't mean game-wise, I meant in regards to seeing what it can do using it's hardware. Although I could be wrong about that too. If the PS3 is anything like the PS2, then in another year, the look of the games will blow away what we have seen at launch. It seemed like developers were still tinkering with and figuring out how to maximize the performance of the PS2 a couple of years after it's launch, although that could be considered a bad thing at the same time I guess. I am actually leaning towards the 360 for a bunch of reasons, (especially once the ELITE added HDMI) but I am just worried about giving up on the PS3 too early, and being burnt in the end. The fact of the matter is, I am not getting both systems. I really don't have the time or the justification to have two next-gen consoles sitting around my house. So it is going to be an either/or situation. The wii, well that is a different story because it is so cheap, but between the 360 and PS3, as the highlander said "There can be only one"
  9. So I have pretty much conceded that I won't be getting a next-gen console until 2008. Most of my spare money right now is being swept up on last minute stuff for the wedding, and a good portion of our savings is going bye-bye on the 15th to make the final payment on the wedding/reception. So unless I happen to get a higher paying job after August, or I just get an incredible amount of cash instead of gifts at the wedding, then my next real oppurtunity to spend a big chunk of change will be my 2007 tax return which usually I get back anywhere from the end of February to the middle of March, and once that check comes, the price of either console won't be an issue. I kind of feel that the Xbox 360 has peaked, meaning we the consumers have seen pretty much everything it has to offer, but the PS3 is still a work in progress. Now that doesn't necessarily mean it will end up being the better console, but I am just wondering everyone's opinion here on what system they would rather have if money wasn't an issue.
  10. The return of Triple H will be cool for about five minutes. I mean, just to see him back and all will be kind of cool because it will probably be in some overly-dramatic situation, but after a couple of weeks it will be back to business as usual.
  11. My first post was either in WWE forums or Current Events, as I was introduced to the board by Dangerous_A at a job we had together. Back then wrestling was actually interesting enough to post regularly about.
  12. I worked at the same place Ced did, (well I worked for the place that did the shipping/packaging for them, but it was attached) so I got the layoff from there as well when the moved to Houston. I was fired from a job once cause I made a joke to a co-worker that it would be easy to screw up the system in place and then quit, leaving nightmares for the crew, he ran and told the boss, and the boss got paranoid and fired me.....I got a good laugh from that one. The last job I was fired from, I have no idea why. The company made me sign a paper upon employment that basically said they reserved the right to fire anyone at anytime without explanation, so they never told me why. I have my suspicions that not being part of the inner-club within out department played a role, considering all my "buddies" worked in the IT department and I was in the data entry department. I have been laid off from various temp jobs, but those were merely because I had completed the assignment and they had no full-time positions to offer....the bastards. I guess you can say I haven't found a job yet that pays me enough to care or put forth much effort. Don't get me wrong, when I show up to work, I work and put in my 40 hours and my attendance record is superb and I usually have no complaints about quality of work. The most often criticism in my reviews is that I don't show enough drive, I don't go the extra mile, but quite frankly, with the companies I have worked for, all that wouldn't have got me further anyhow. The one job I had that paid pretty well was a warehousing job, but that job sucked so hard that the money was the ONLY reason to do it, and eventually you get burned out. Lucky for me my wife(well in 3 weeks) brings home mucho buckaroos, which affords me, for the time being to take more time in finding a long-term job.
  13. 2. Put your junk in the box
  14. One thing that makes the Bourne Trilogy good is that each one is better then the previous installment. For action movies though I would still say Die Hard Trilogy > Bourne Trilogy........ ...I haven't seen Live Free or Die Hard yet.....but judging from the first three I still give the edge to Die Hard. Of course Die Hard is more straight up ass-kicking action. Maybe the Bourne movies are better to be compared to Hunt for Red October/Patriot Games/Clear & Present Danger...? P.S. oh and I wish people would get off Return of the Jedi's back. It has it's flaws but it is hardly the "subpar" finale that people make it out to be. We can over analyze it as much as we want as adults, but it is a kids movie for christ's sake and kids love it.
  15. Well NOW I am having an issue with the Sprint website. There is a section to click on that you can add or subtract add-ons from your plan. I am trying to cancel my Vision plan, which would knock $15 off my bill per month(because I hardly every actually web browse on my phone) so everytime I uncheck the Vision box, you are supposed to click the "save" button, and whenever I do, I get a message saying "Sorry the changes have not been updated on your account, please try again later" I have tried this about 10 times now and I get the same message everytime.....FUCK.
  16. Top Chef Big Love Entourage Weeds (season 3 starts next week) Bridezilla(mainly because I am getting married in a few weeks) Tapout
  17. Well I saw an advanced screening of the flick earlier tonight. I got a hold of a couple of free passes. Fucking hilarious. I don't know how much more needs to be said. Even the Red Band trailer doesn't prepare you for the crudeness of this flick. The crowd was laughing so hard that we often didn't hear many of the follow-up lines/jokes, so I am looking forward to watching this again on DVD in the comfort of my own home, packed with my friends as we get to be the opposite of sober by the time the opening credits roll.
  18. Saw it, Loved it. If you are a Simpsons fan, you won't be dissapointed, and at the same time the movie is straight forward enough for casual viewers to enjoy it.
  19. Parker's Hot Dogs is good, they have a ton of different styles. Personally my fave way to do up a hot dog is: Mustard Chopped Onions pickle slice down one of the sides Saurkreut/Relish are acceptable when I am in that particular mood.
  20. The season 2 premiere was last night.....
  21. Being a Skins fan, I am sure this will come off sounding biased, but I really feel that in a weak NFC East division, they can make some noise if Jason Campbell plays well. With Portis/Betts out of the backfield, the offense is still going to be anchored by the running game, however with Santana Moss healthy again he could explode and have another year like 2005. Chris Cooley is getting better every year, plus he is in a contract year which is even extra incentive to go that extra mile on the field. The defense should be better with Laron Landry and Fred Smoot added, along with London Fletcher at MLB.....It's not that I think the Redskins will be anything "special" in 2007, but I just don't think the NFC East will be that strong, and it will really be more of a tossup and possibly come down to the last few weeks of the season to determine who wins the division. I would still consider the Eagles the favorite in the division, because they return the core players, and have been running the same offense FOREVER, which is a very underrated factor that people seem to overlook. I see the Giants and Cowboys regressing.
  22. The U.K. should call in Bush since he did such a bang up job with Katrina and all.....
  23. Best Buy online has it but it says it is backordered......so either so many peope pre-ordered it on their website, or they are just getting it a week or two after the street date.....
  24. No excuse for Johnny fucking Nitro to be the champion in the first place, while CM Punk has been working his way up the card since the beginning of this new ECW project. It just goes to show you how much politics play a part when you have a guy working his ass off to get over, and he just keeps getting buried and jobbed whenever he has an oppurtunity to win the big one. To Johnny Nitro of all fucking people...
  25. Well today is the listed street date for Monster Squad, but no Best Buy in the Sacramento area has received it and they have no word on when it is coming in......If this was simply one Best Buy I could chalk it up to being a late shipment, but every Best Buy in Sacramento!?! The only reason I am getting it from Best Buy is because I have a couple of gift certs from there that I got for my birthday. I am about to call Wal-Mart and see if they got it in. If they didn't either, then maybe there is a delay on the DVD and then I will be pissed.
