  1. Yeah this season is off to a hot start.
  2. Well that is certainly an interesting way to look at it, just ask the government to cut out any and all benefits to married couples. Of course, how likely are married couples going to go along with that?
  3. I think people are misunderstanding "he didn't need to be tased" with "OMG he is a political hero that we should all bow down to and learn a lesson from" No one is saying that guy wasn't being a smart ass and that he probably wasn't asking to get kicked out of the place. However, I see no reason he needed to be tased. Again, once the guy is cuffed and on the ground, where is the "threat" being presented that required a taser shot. I think the bigger issue in this is the fact that law enforcement is starting to rely on this tool because it is an easy way out and considering anytime you are administered an electrical shock powerful enough to "put you down" there is always a risk for some adverse effects. Was this situation really worth it, or would it have been better for the group of cops just to swarm the guy and kick him out of the building?
  4. Yep. They're knuckleheaded shooters, but they have a sizable contract doing all the protection and escorting for state department throughout the country. The reason Blackwater won't ultimately get kicked out is that no one else can do the work; Blackwater has more resources and better equipment than the U.S. military at this point and is a huge part of the daily operations of any state department personnel. The only way Blackwater could get removed from the country would be if another company came in, bought all their resources, hired all their grunts, and took over the job. Yep, sorry my figures were way off. What I read and reported erroneously(sp?) was the total number of Security Contractors in Iraq....Blackwater ITSELF only has about 1000. My bad. My main problem with Blackwater and other companies of the like, is that they are not held to the same rules and regulations as the military. You read the story about the Blackwater employee who was drunk and accidently shot a security officer....so he takes off and runs to the american embassy and they fly him back to America where he has yet to stand trial for his crime. There needs to be some type of oversight on contractors like these that are carrying around automatic weapons and have access to heavily armed machinery including helicopters. This afterall was the same company sent down to New Orleans after Katrina to stop people who just lost their homes from going into abandoned grocery stores to grab some food.
  5. Quote from Romney's new anti-gay marriage ad... "As Republicans we must oppose discrimination and defend traditional marriage: one man, one woman," Romney says in the spot.
  6. From what I have heard there is a lot of explicit sex in it.....true?
  7. Hard to bet against Mayweather. His style is boring as fuck and I would never spend money to watch it, but it is even more effective than boring. He obviously has deceptive power because everyone that Baldomir, Mayweather, etc etc would at least just try to walk through Mayweather's jab in order to bullrush and take the fight "inside" It didn't work then, and I don't see why Hatton will have any success trying it either.
  8. Someone else posted this piece of a witness account, so I don't have a source on it, but if it's true it completely contradicts that version: Ok, look I have little sympathy for this "douche" as someone else put it. The guy came off as prick-ish in his approach, however, all I am saying is that with the number of cops there, it seems like they could have ambushed his ass and thrown him out of the front door and made sure he couldn't get back in....Arresting and/or being charged with Felony resisting, on top of being tasered while on the ground and cuffed just seems excessive considering the guy wasn't posing any threat to anyone.
  9. So now Maliki and other Iraqi officials want to de-certify Blackwater and send them packing. Well they reportedly have over 100,000 members currently serving in Iraq and supposedly this mercenary force is being relied on for security convey couriers and other similar missions. Of course Blackwater is denying any wrong doing and claiming the "well a gunshot came from over there, so we just lit up the place in that direction" defense....and somehow I think this is the part where Maliki is about to become privy to the fact that he holds no real power, as there is no way Bush is about to expel his buddies in Blackwater and/or their billions in contract money.
  10. We must be reading conflicting reports. From what I read, he didn't run to the front of the line. The person before him was going to be the last person to ask a question, but since he was the only one left they let him ask his question. And, regardless of "spouting conspiracy theories" which seemingly came from the book that John Kerry himself said in the video that he had also read, it isn't a reason to arrest someone. It is obvious the guy came to disrupt the event, however there is no reason that Four to Five cops couldn't have simply ambushed him, and pushed his ass out of the front door and told him to take a fucking hike and not let him back in. Again, why was it necessary to taser the guy once he was IN HANDCUFFS on the ground? "as a cop in the 21st century......" A student, in an academic setting is causing a disturbance....well now, hell, alert homeland security because we have a situation.....give me a fucking break.
  11. How is the guy a "douche" ? He simply asked a question and as soon as it was deemed an "inconvenient" question, the cops move in and attempt to remove him and arrest him, and taser him....for asking a fucking question. Sure, the guy was a little smarmy, and obviously was there to make Kerry uncomfortable with his question, but hey last time I checked that wasn't against the law, nor does it warrant being arrested and tasered. Was he being threatening in any way whatsoever? And for christ sakes John Kerry, how about opening your fucking mouth and telling the cops to get the fuck off of him. "I want to answer the question but he doesn't seem available to come up here right now" Well open your mouth and tell the cops to fuck off. If anything at least explain why the guy is tasered after he is being held down by four police officers...!?! Freedom of Speech at work.
  12. "It's gonna be just like Eurotrip, except it's not gonna suck" <---LOL
  13. Arrive extra early. Sample all the "neat" energy drinks they give away for free. Bring a camera. Get your picture taken with the Mickeys girls. Most of all, Have fun!!!
  14. NYG@WSH: Well, I think this is a game the Redskins should win at home. Of course I also look at this game as a "trap" for the Skins, because they just took a big win in Philly, a division win, and now have a short week. The Giants have more weapons on offense than the Eagles, but their defense is horrendous, which should help to give Campbell more target practice. After missing what would have been the game breaker to Moss against the Eagles, I am sure the coaches will have him throwing bombs in practice, and I am sure we will see Moss going deep next Sunday. I trust in Gibbs to have the team emotionally ready for this game, another division game. I think a win here, going into the bye week would be big. Sitting at 3-0 going into the bye week would be nice. Redskins 28 Giants 17
  15. Well what it comes down to is: Is marriage an institution of religion or the state? Religion has a right to discriminate, the state does not. Since you can get married legally by a judge, without a speck of religion involved, methinks that marriage does exist outside of religion and in those cases is sponsored by the state, therefore it should be illegal to discriminate against gay couples.
  16. Redskins win, barely. Well, it's a division win on the road. I'll take it. Jason Campbell seems to be for real. He is still raw, but he doesn't let mistakes get to him and he seems to bounce back pretty well. I almost had a heart attack when Campbell had a chance to seal the game, and overthrew Moss.......
  17. Well today at work felt like an entire week...it is always like that when my team plays on Monday, but I need to keep my nerves in check because it usually results in an asskicking for my team....LOL. I hope Randel El can exploit whoever is filling in for Lito Shepard..... Run Portis Run..... Defense stop the Big Pass.... Go Skins!!!
  18. Side Note: Did Lavar Arrington ever sign with any team this past offseason?
  19. ....and maybe the Redskins too after tomorrow night
  20. The hypocrisy factor is a big issue, but I think another issue was that the conservatives and even the media in some aspects seem to be turning it into a gay issue. Say he does the same thing, but with a woman. How much EASIER does that now make it for him to just make a fake apology, "turn to jesus" and everyone comes to his aid and claims he is a changed man. Quite frankly, I can give a shit that he wants to have sex with another man, that is his personal business. It is more of a reflection on society that he felt the need to sneak around and do it in a men's restroom.
  21. The 49ers squeaked by the Cards, and then the Rams made sure they did everything in their power not to win the game. Of course, it is games like these that help out an improving team. Sure, the 49ers still might not be good, but if you consider the 49ers are a team that will get better as the year goes on, it is nice to look back on these two games that could have gone either way, and feel good knowing they ended as wins. Hell as a Washington Redskins fan, those types of games are the exact reason they went 8-8 three years in a row from 2000-2002, because they couldn't win those close, ugly, tightly contested games, where it looked like neither team really deserved to win.
  22. Has anyone seen Hollow Man 2 with Christian Slater? Straight to DVD....not as bad as one might think.
  23. I wonder how often coaches change up their signals, especially when playing division foes, because if we are to believe Bill that he wasn't using the videotape for THAT game, is it safe to say they were going to bring in the film and match together coaches signals for the next time they play the Jets?
  24. Well he left the term "victory" wide open again, not clearly defining it, or giving any type of timetable for how long it takes, but he had hinted that this will be a "long term" mission that will likely be dropped on the doortstep of the next Prez.
