Water Chestnuts takes stir-fry to the NEXT level. Soooo underrated.

I read a review awhile ago on it and it said if you tire easily of slow motion action shots, you will be itching to leave the theater. I think that was the review an early cut of the film got.

My guess? It will be a straight-up regular match because they want to save the stunts and violence for the MITB match.

Redskins lost Dockery via Free Agency to the Bills, but for once the Skins FO did the RIGHT thing in not offering him a ridiculous contract. No Way Dockery is worth that much..... Also, rumors out of DC are that Fred Smoot has signed and will return to the Redskins. I am happy. Smoot wasn't worth the hype he received when he became a FA two years ago, but he is a very good fit for Greg Williams's defensive scheme, and he flourished in it while here.

Yeah, by the time Land of the Dead is made, Mankind is the minority, and confined to small cities that are barracaded in. It's not likely there is much for the zombies to eat outside of these cities.

ECW is the opposite WWE, everything is good except the Main Event.

Dish has Sleuth network. I catch a Night Rider every once in awhile. The problem with this brand of channel is that they buy the rights to so few programs/movies that there is probably 5 total shows aired per day and are put on a continuous cycle. I mean really, there should be enough cheap-end horror/thriller/weird movies to fill up an entire evening/night/late night with, so that at the most you are repeating shows only twice during the day, IF THAT. Also, Movies and Tales From The Crypt will always be half-assed on these networks due to editing, while shows that were made for Network TV in the first place will be more worth watching(Freddys Nightmares, Friday the 13th Series, etc...) Personally I am still reeling after the total DEMISE of the Horror Channel and it's decision to become an online broadband channel only. After a couple of failed launches, and a few years of leaving their fans hanging, they ended up firing a bunch of execs and management, and changed course to become a broadband channel.....

Bobby Kielty out 3-6 weeks, but I am more worried about Kotsay sitting out with a stiff back, which seemed to plague him all during last season.

Another thing that helped the show tonight was how over "ECW" was with the crowd. Usually "ECW" suffers with this because it is really a Smackdown Crowd that is being treated to HEATCW as a warmup,I mean hell, there was a freakin' "Balls Mahoney" chant during his matchn ot to mention the severe overness of RVD, which is usually the case, but the crowd tonight was very hot for the "ECW" product. The Originals vs. New Breed feud can only work if they are setting up the Originals to have a big IMPORTANT win, at Wrestlemania. The crowd keeps cheering for them, because I think they feel that their big win is coming eventually, however the problem here is that one, RVD is on his way out, so it is unlikely he is going to be going over much, and then two, the New Breed is a team of workers that Vince/Steph gush over and think should be protected, however, history shows that losing as a team is not going to damage anyone really, especially when the fans want to see it. Thus far, I think the writers are really dropping the ball with The Sandman. The guy is over, but given basically nothing to do. Yeah, I know he can't work straight matches so well, but that is just an excuse. Put him in street fights, or Chair vs. Cane matches. There is plenty that could be done to get the guy some matches. I am still not a Lashley fan, but even I have to admit that the main event and conclusion of the show were set up really well and did the job to get Lashley over for WM, including the big Cage Break Bump. Kudos to a good show.

The official website is pretty cool...

I rented this movie when I rented the Departed, in other words, I just saw it yesterday. Very good film, excellent even. Scarlett has curves. Ricci used to. Look at any of Ricci's indy flicks, from Buffalo 66 to The Opposite of Sex, and compare her completely fine looking body to the way she looks in Black Snake Moan. She doesn't look unhealthy skinny by any means, but it is obvious they wanted her to obtain a certain look for the part.

I just saw it for the first time too, on DVD. I kind of agree. The movie was GOOD, but I think after all the gushyness over it in this thread, I went into it with too high of expectations. The movie was way more "by-the-numbers" then I thought it was going to be, and the ending sequence kind of felt like it was done for shock value. I enjoyed the flick for the most part, I just didn't get the "epic" feel from it like I went in expecting. The Departed almost feels like it was remade from another superior film, and that because they cast this film with superior actors, that it would make the overall movie better. I haven't seen "Internal Affairs" yet, but I have heard that while the basic plot is the same, there are a lot of differences in who gets killed and the end. Whenever a movie is "based off" another flick, I generally like to see both movies before making my final judgement, because sometimes the adaptions are better, but most of the time the original pieces are superior.

FOX News planning right-leaning show similar to Daily Show
NoCalMike replied to DerangedHermit's topic in Current Events
Glenn Beck is one of those guys that is extremely conservative but trys to sound sly and crafty about presenting his views on positions as to not let people know just how conservative he really is, and from time to time he lets things slip out that make you do a double-take. -
Nothing will beat the video of him throwing and catching his own 100 yard pass. I mean, most of the other sports videos were somewhat believable, but throwing and catching his own 100 yard pass was so over the top that it was Prowrestling GOLD!!! Is Ultimate Warrior the only person to kick out of the perfect-plex?

I'll be there!

I wish they would just release ECW's old commercial shows/tapes on DVD.

I am so much more picky about going to the theaters now, not only are movies ten fucking dollars to see now, but so many movies are forgettable. You sit down, watch it, and then forget about it. It provokes nothing out of you other then anger due to an empty wallet. I guess this is HOLLYWOOD productions moreso then cinema itself, as I have found that going to indepdent films has been a much more satisfying experience over the past few years.
