  1. I second and third Czech's "Ode to the LRC" love. Great song.
  2. Man, Vyxsin became waaaaay hotter tonight when she went all Sally Struthers.
  3. When. When GSP humbles Hughes again. This shit is written.
  4. Karma is gonna be a bitch, Matt.
  5. And to keep himself occupied GSP gets to send Country Boy packin'. This is a MUCH better solution then Hughes fighting Alves or Fitch, not to say that those aren't fights I wouldn't want to see down the road.
  6. Hughes is FUCKED. Just realized his gameplan changed from "Five rounds of takdowns" to "Survival".
  7. I posted without reading the previous page. ALSFJSFFSIHQWRIHQWEIHQEIHQEIH GSP! GSP! GSP!!!!!
  8. Here's how I think things should be done........ If Hughes chooses to fight on the 29th whatever fighter is left out (either Fitch or Alves) should fight GSP in March for the #1 Contendership. If Hughes elects to wait for his title shot, I want to see Fitch/GSP in March regardless as I don't believe Alves is at the level of the previous mentioned fighters. This, of course is all contingent on the diagnosis of Serra's recovery time.
  9. Can "everything" be "one thing"? No, it cannot.
  10. Add Matt Wiman vs Justin Buccholz to the card.... So far we've got.... Kurt Pellegrino vs Alberto Crane Patrick Cote vs Drew McFedries Nate Diaz vs Alvin Robinson Matt Wiman vs Justin Buccholz Cole Miller vs Jeremy Stephens Thiago Tavares vs Michihiro Omigawa We've still yet to find out who Swick is fighting and there's also rumors of Corey Hill being on this card.
  11. Don't worry people, Carlito is just stressed that he knocked somebody up. At the end of the day it's all love. Fitch would give Hughes problems, methinks. In fact if Fitch had better stand-up I'd say we'd almost see a repeat of GSP/Hughes II with Matt trying to outmuscle somebody stronger and failing while getting taken down himself and lit up on the feet. No Hughes takes out Fitch without working for it.
  12. Let's be real, Hughes doesn't give a shit who he fights. He would easily take the Fitch fight and wouldn't 2nd guess it. When has Matt Hughes ever been the type to back down from a tougher challenge? Never. A lot of people may not like the guy, neither do i, but the was thing he isn't, is a chicken shit. He's also not stupid enough to think that he'd have the same chances against Fitch as he would Alves.
  13. I'm blown away by your ability to completely miss the point of this thread.
  14. So there's word going around right now that if Hughes chooses to take the fight that either Jon Fitch or Thiago Alves will be the replacement. There's no doubt in my mind that Hughes is praying for Alves. And as much as I want him to get the shot this is way too long of a layoff for GSP. A fight with Fitch, Alves or Karo would work just fine.
  15. I totally agree with your first point. Seeing the earlier TKO shows (especially when they allowed the four-point attack) is great, ditto for promotions like Mecca, Hook and Shoot and HCF though that's shown on The Score but I assume you get SportsNet as well.
  16. It can only be one thing. Could be a particular fight, maybe a submission technique, hell it could be the UFC's new ring girl. To you, right now what's the most awesomest bestest thing about MMA ? I'm going to go with Anderson Silva and his Path of Destruction. With GSP being inactive and batting .500 this year, Fedor in limbo and Shogun coming off a loss Anderson has kneed his way into my heart by not only being the most lethal motherfucker in all of MMA but also by doing it in style. The humble apologies to Franklin after housing him in front of his hometown crowd cinched it.
  17. I'm assuming that all of America is thankful today that Natalee Holloway's killers are being brought to justice.
  18. That preview is misleading.
  19. I'd actually say it's the opposite. McFedries seemed to be able to do next to nothing once Kampmann got him down and while Cote is known as a standup fighter he showed good positioning and ground and pound beating Jason Day in TKO this year as well as some nice ground strikes defeating Kendall. Now if Cote lands on his back and Drew starts bombing down on him like he did with Jordan Radev, yeah, that's trouble for Pat.
  20. Drew McFedries looks to be making a return against Patrick Cote at the January UFN show.
  21. So it's now confirmed that Fedor will be fighting on NYE, along with a roster that's rumored to feature........ Aleksander E Ricardo Arona Kazayuki Fujita Shinya Aoki Mitsuhiro Ishida Gilbert Melendez Tatsuya Kawijiri Joachim Hansen Hayato Mach Sakurai If even half that list (prefereably the bottom half) proves out........yowza.
  22. In the mood to watch a tubby dude bleed, huh? I know the feeling.
  23. This isn't anything huge but I figured that it was at least note-worthy. In the article on UFC.com about the WW division when they bring up GSP they say that he's "likely" going to be getting a shot at the winner of Serra/Hughes but that another fight before then isn't outside the realm of possibility. If that's the case then there's no reason why GSP/Fitch shouldn't go down.
  24. Casual fans know Henderson as the guy who hanged tough with the Rampage at 205, it will have them wondering what Hendo is able to do at 185. Most UFC fans know who Hendo is already, as most of them have seen PRIDE before. Also known as the guy who never defended his belt and somehow lost to fucking Kazuo Misaki in a non-title fight.
