Watched it the other night and I was very, very impressed with what I saw. One of the better films of the year, IMO. I really liked how it didn't need the best effects (though they weren't bad) or really cool CGI to tell a great story.
I don't like horror movies, but I like this movie and I think it's in part due to the largely dramatic feeling this movie has. The camerawork and cinematography were first rate, particularly those shots of downtown London, empty.
The "Infected" were done well, the makeup wasn't too off-the-wall and gave the virus a very realistic feel. The way they moved was very creepy, as it was zombie-ish but still enough to establish some humanity. The great camera angles add to the mix.
So, anybody else see it? Thoughts?
