Wrestling on TV will always be done in the larger arenas. It gives the show more of a "big-time" feel. TNA isn't doing that right now because of money. The only other option is doing wrestling TV shows at the high-school gyms...not happening.

I'd have put Guerrero-Ohtani higher on the list. It was a great match on an otherwise lackluster PPV. Also would rank Flair-Anderson from Fall Brawl a bit higher as well...it had everything that makes a great match...storyline, history, psychology, etc. Otherwise...good list. I'm hoping that Steiner-Muta from '92, Tully-Magnum, and at least two of Flair-Steamboat's battles from early '89 better be in the top 20.

There are so many factors that make a wrestler be able to transcend mainstream pop culture. Let's face it, wrestling isn't cool right now mainstream wise. Guys like Hogan, Austin, Rock, Andre, Flair...all had that certain "it." It can't be learned, can't be taught...you either have it or you don't. I think Kurt Angle had that potential, although now his body is broken down to the point he can't carry the company long term. Brock Lesnar had that also, and if he had stuck around the WWE I think he would be HUGE right now as far as mainstream acceptance.

VP Cheney cant tell the difference between bird and human...
BruiserKC replied to Hawk 34's topic in Current Events
Hunting accidents are frequent...I speak as a hunter myself. Shit happens sometimes. Cheney should have just said something at the beginning and not wait a few days. Just come clean, say I fucked up, move on. -

The Invasion angle was deliberately booked to be a squash. There was no way Vince was going to allow WCW to get over.

What type of wrestling fans annoy you?
BruiserKC replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in General Wrestling
Wrestling fans (it seems like mostly women but men are guilty of this as well) who allow their hormones to dictate their fave wrestlers. Teenage girls have been notorious for this (Hardys, younger HBK, etc) but the older women do this also with Batista, Cena, etc. Meanwhile...men who swear by Trish, Victoria, etc...because they're gorgeous and they think they have a shot at scoring in bed wrestling with them. Take a cold shower, would you please? -
There's clearly more right-wing radio than left-wing. Here it's Rush, Hannity, Glenn Beck, Savage, Michael Medved...don't have any liberals here. The best out there is clearly O'Reilly....at least he will club both sides. Hannity is cleary a Republican cheerleader, ditto with Rush.

$6900 back in federal, $1000 back from the state of Iowa for me. I always have them take about $20 extra out of each paycheck for federal, $10 back from state. Most of it is paying a loan to my in-laws and to pay off my student loans...finally my student loans paid off.

At least unlike the Summer Olympics we actually have just about everything that is actually a sport. Sorry, contrary to what the Chinese might say, table tennis is NOT a sport.

Mine was Mass Communications, with a minor in Photography.

Chris Cruise...I almost forgot he ever had a wrestling job. I love how he rips Styles for drooling over the Candice Michelle ad, yet he probably loves when Lawler talks about "Puppies" constantly.

Roseanne is a blue-collar show...more fitted for the country crowd. What makes no sense is running the Miss America Pageant 50 million times.

Now we know why Billy Gunn had a job all these years...his dad was on the payroll.

There's a Christian singer named...real name, not stage...."Candy Christmas." Now that's a porn name that missed its calling.

Hunter would no-sell the scythe and put the Pedigree on the Grim Reaper. -

This is a moment custom made for the Coach...and the Spirit Squad can cheer Eddie's ghost on from the sidelines. -
First of all, all political speeches would be much better if they have the MST3K treatment. How ironic an oil man talking about not being dependent on foreign oil. Not enough talk on border security. Bush is so worried about losing Hispanic votes when a lot of polls show that Hispanics in this country are for tighter borders. I myself don't want to give border jumpers amnesty...I want them out. You want to enter this country and taste the American dream, do it legally. And Cindy Sheehan...she is deserving of a Carlos Mencia "Dee Dee Dee" award. If she really wanted an effective protest...wait until the standing O the Reps gave when he talked about staying the course in Iraq and THEN show the T-shirt underneath.

And make sure he gets the chance to play every food server's favorite game show..."Find The Tip!"

Or because they're physically and mentally hindered. Or have a fixed income. Complaining about any age group before you reach that age is ridiculous. Little pissants will be bitching about you to their friends in 50 years and you won't appreciate it very much. Do you get pissed if people who look poor tip less also? If you can't afford to tip at least 15% you shouldn't be eating out. Period. I work at a sports bar, it's not like it's fine dining, it's a sports bar similar to Applebee's. And about honing my style human hands can only handle so much and we are not supposed to bring the bus tub to the table. I hate mandatory tipping. I see you getting frustrated at the cheapskates who demand the world and don't show their appreciation. At the same time, as I'm the customer I should determine what my gratuity is depending on your service. If the service meets my standards, I tip. If they exceed my standards, I tip well. If your service sucks, no tip.

If we're talking this timeframe, have to mention Yokozuna. Yes, he didn't do much other than being the champion for almost a entire year, but he was a credible heel and at the time when we were afraid of the Japanese taking everything over he was great storyline wise.

For your MITB I think you could insert Boogeyman...Boogeyman beat JBL for one, plus he wouldn't have to do much so you can hide his weaknesses with several others in the ring with him. Granted Boogeyman isn't someone that deserves a chance at a World title match but neither does Jordan, Chavo, or Hardy for that matter.

Heenan would work for Perfect. Or Flair. Flair works better for Steamboat, Anderson and Rhodes before Curt, if only for his long history with those three. His legacy with Hening isn't as known and significant. I believe Heenan's perfect as he brings the comedy that will be needed and there's a credible connection with the two. I'd imagine Curt's father, Larry (if he is still alive, im not sure) would accept the award. Or if Larry would accept the award and you need a WWE HOF link...Harley Race, Larry's former tag partner, can do the induction.

Wonder if this is like the random Chuck Norris facts?

XPW had a wrestler named Pogo the Clown (Gacy's alter ego) with a finishing move called Buried in the Basement. Rob Black was one sick motherfucker.
