The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD Cover...
Fökai replied to Steviekick's topic in The WWE Folder
Someone posted this on Lamejournal, so take it for what it's worth... That was a wishlist, I believe. No way they would put all that non-WWE stuff on. Actually, there's no way they could put all of those matches onto a 3-DVD set. -
Pin, I owe you one. PM me if you have a wishlist or something that I can take care of.

Yes, I'm back. It took me: --all of Thursday to get to Oregon. --all of Friday to register for college. --all of Saturday to acquire my bedsheets. --until today to find the computer lab. I'll be receiving my monitor tomorrow night, so I'm not on AIM yet. It'd be safe to say there's no [LOCK]'s this week.

Can the MASH gimmick still make guest appearances, despite his curmudgeonly target being removed from our existence?
-
I doubt it, that kind of thing isn't really necessary in today's environment. Austin got over from WM 13 while jobbing to Bret. HHH retired Foley and went over a bazillion guys and never got over. HHH never got over? Come on... don't let the HHHate turn into just plain ignorance. I hate the guy too, but to say he never got over is ridiculous You shouldn't worry - this hasn't been a good week for JOTW discussion-wise anyhow.
-
I can't remember an instance, actually. Last time any match in the WWE/WWF broke even THREE stars was Bret/Owen from Wrestlemania X, I'd guess. BTW, I'd give it ***1/4. ... ... .... Haas/Benjamin v. Filthy Animals, Vengeance.
-
Now HOLD ON a minute there. As much as you may disagree, in the years of 1997 and 2001, I'd put him as the best wrestler in North America. The man was successful in working ****+ ... --brawls (Wrestlemania v. Bret, OTE '98 v. Foley, NWO 2001 v. HHH), --old-school wrestling clinics (v. Bret at SurSer '96, v. Angle 01/08/01) --"WWE-Style" mish-mash of everything (X-7 v. Rocky, Unforgiven 1998 v. Foley, Rebellion 2001 v. Rocky) --tag matches (v. Bulldog/Owen with both Foley & HBK) --the old heel/face dynamic (Summerslam 2001 v. Angle, Unforgiven 2001 v. Angle) Not to mention stuff that I've either never seen, or can't categorize them: v. Savio Vega (Beware of Dog) v. Mero (KOTR 1996) v. Vader/Bret/Taker (Final Four 1997) v. Taker (A Cold Day in Hell 1997) v. Bret Hart (Revenge of the Taker 1997) v. HBK (KOTR 1997) v. Mankind (Survivor Series 1998) v. Mankind & HHH (Summerslam 1999) v. Angle (10.08.01 RAW) v. Jericho (Vengeance 2001) v. Angle (01/28/02 RAW) I'm sure there's alot more.

Inquiring minds want to know ... in which thread was his fate decided? I.E. - I've noticed that his two threads in the WWE folder have been removed. Does that mean there was objectionable content in those two threads? EDIT: Missed the earlier thread in NHB regarding this. Disregard my question, but continue the discussion on Johnson's fate on this board.

TSM Poster Tournament II: Round II
Fökai replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in Poster Tournament
It certainly helps Choken's cause, when you're voting against certain nominees for "no real reason". I TAUGHT WE WUZ BRUTHAS, MANG~! -
Yet he's billed as "The Rock" in every movie he's been in... I believe he meant the way that Rocky carries himself. He's not a caricature of his own gimmick like Hogan was or is, so he'll able to break the stigma of "Professional Wrestler/Actor" and become an actual "player" in the movie industry.
-
I really digged his Summerslam 2001 match with Tajiri - of course, in those later days, he was only motivated when he was booked to win.
-
It'll be funny to see how the WWE explains it - you just KNOW they'll get someone to bash him, as Tino said.

::holds laughter back:: So you did, SSD....so you did. -
*BUMP* for the moderators to pin. Thanks in advance, guys.

Hell, start today with these topics: "It's official: HHH on HHHiatus" "HHH's vendetta against RVD" "Kevin Nash in Tampa, filming The Punisher"

How about suggestions in improving the message board? 1. Clear out the roster of TSM writers who don't WRITE anymore, replace one or two of them with a contest where the prospective applicants must post their opinions in the WWE/Sports/Etc. folder. 2. Changes to the overall structure of the board (forums removed, forums ADDED.) As much as I thought a "Media Downloads" forum would be impractical to maintain, it'd create interest for new guests. Any more?

TSM Poster Tournament II: Round II
Fökai replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in Poster Tournament
Well, I'm not voting against myself. That would just be silly. I meant along the lines of a "No-Vote" or not casting a ballot at all. -
Then again, it had an adverse effect on Vengeance, which turned out to be the best PPV of the year...with TWO McMahons in TWO different matches.
-
TWICE. First ocurrance was September 14th, 1998. The cool visual of Goldberg rising up out of the Scorpion Deathlock brought back the memory of it. Second occurance was November 8th, 1999. The show featured a continuation of the World Heavyweight Title tournament, the rematch between Goldberg/Sting from the PPV 15 days earlier, and a four-way dance as a main event (Goldberg, Hall, Bret, Sid) to decide the United States Championship. One of those matches he was still part of the Wolfpack, right? Yes, the first instance. The second instance was when he became "Seek and Destroy" Sting.

A limited number of tickets in all prices have been reserved for Friday’s pre-sale, and additional tickets in all price ranges will also be available to the General Public on Saturday morning. This means that you will have TWO opportunities to get your tickets. There is a six-ticket limit per order. Ticket prices are: $54.50 - $79.50 - $104.50 and $204.50. A few Platinum Ringside Seats at $754.50 will also be available on Friday morning and again on Saturday morning. These Platinum Ringside Seats are among the closest to the ring, and include your commemorative WrestleMania XX ringside chair. So where the $204.50 row begins, depends on where the special ringside chair rows end.

I forget if it's so or not. But all I wanna know is do you lose 2 if you pick the wrong lock? If so, this stands. If you don't lose 2, then I should have 10. EDIT: Gee, someone's EMBARRASSED that he picked the Raiders! You got 10 GAMES right, but the [LOCK] (which was incorrect) brings you back to 9. The [LOCK] acts as a bonus point if you get it right, but if it's incorrect, it takes away from your point total.
