  1. I didn't understand what the hell he was saying in the third paragraph. The first point I made was that the ability to take away the gimmick was a good thing for the WWE writing team, at least in their minds. I don't know of a gimmick that they stuck with besides the Boogeyman, which is right up the writing team's alley.
  2. Edit: Never mind.
  3. Okay, guys, Fishy was banned a week ago - there's no need to run the "joke" into the ground.

Reggie, Aikman, Irvin, Moon, Derrick Thomas and Monk, I guess. I don't see why Monk would get a real 'push' this year, unless he gets the sympathy vote on his last year of eligibility, but I don't see either Thurman or Dent (who will both get in next year) getting real support with the committee. Thurman for just being an overlooked back, Dent for being on the same ballot with Reggie and not being judged fairly.
  5. Am I smoking something, or did Dauber from "Coach" fame play the role of Marshall's father?
  6. Atlanta and Dallas. DET - 20
  7. Whoever did this banning saved the board 8,000 posts in the next month.

For the love of God, stay away from Medford.
  10. If I put in an DVD of any show at this moment, this is how they'd be rated... 1. Seinfeld 2. NewsRadio 3. The Simpsons 4. Cheap Seats 5. Chappelle's Show Out: Married With Children.
  11. Figured it should be posted again to stir up discussion; I'm pointing towards the "injury and health" section he addresses...
  12. HOLY CRAP.
  13. Watch every bad team in the NFL attempt to throw every game they can to make a stab at Bush.
  14. I'm cool with my emergency picks.
  15. No, he said he didn't know who was booked to win and left it there.
  16. And Auburn scoring TWENTY ONE in the first half ruins my over-under half and costs me $800. So close.
  17. Hope I'm not late... SATURDAY Kansas State Boston College Virginia Tech Ball State Iowa Texas Tech Purdue Michigan Baylor BYU Washington State Auburn Marshall Stanford Clemson Tiebreak #1: 42 Tiebreak #2: 129
  18. Well, Hogan made more money for himself in comparable spans with WWF and WCW, so he'd be cool with Austin being the bigger draw.
  19. Since when is Orton on the SD team at SS? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A combination of needing a new man, and it being too soon for the Buried Alive match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay so what is the SD team officially? Orton, Lashley, Rey, JBL, and Hardy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WWE.com pushed the idea that Batista would do the match regardless of injury.
  20. Nick Dinsmore is NOT working on a developmental contract - he's been in the company for years.
  21. If you're going to do a tribute to him, and you aren't doing a match that involves people that were close to Eddie (which they don't have on that upcoming show), the only way they should avoid criticism is by one of these reasons: A. A portion of all proceeds (including DVD sales) go to Eddie's family. B. Actually do a match that's heavily influenced by Eddie's work, which they don't plan to do as mentioned by Gabe. ...because Gabe portrays Eddie as "the guy that sold tickets for us that one time", yet it was Eddie who honored the second appearance w/Red versus SAT, where he easily could've backed out and claimed that the WWE had him on a promotional appearance. I agree with Rudo's original sentiment that it isn't a ploy to sell tickets, but simply a hollow way of honoring him.
  22. I don't know why he'd use them as a negotiating ploy - he's bound to be grossly overpaid by somebody regardless of what he does.
  23. So the Braves are going to pocket the extra money, or what? They have a few weaknesses, but I don't think there's a strong enough free agency pool to pursue them. They're probably going to reach for a middle reliever and get burned by it.
  24. I'm black...enough. Happy birthday, guys.
  25. HE DOES?!? Mind you, I have friends in Oregon (lived there for a bit myself, too) that absolutely hate on everything Cowherd - I remember the show the day after A. Rodriguez had that famous "glove slap", where he threatened anyone to call him up and disagree with him that Rodriguez did the smart thing. It seems that the guy's career has been founded on finding the concensus opinion, then choosing the exact opposite and daring people to disagree.
