  1. pinjockey. Flik. Marvin.
  2. Being congratulated by his new teammates... Travis Hafner. Cena's Writer, then Vern to close out the draft.
  3. This league will DEFINITELY be active - we've got four definites (three are TSM), so I'm hoping for the fantasy baseball freaks on TSM to fill out the league.

  5. ..and he's thinking wistfully about the team he's now playing for... Derek Jeter.
  6. Leave it to Czech to kill the joke...and my options of Google'd images.
  7. Chioda is telling Benoit to "kick out" as he's counting the pinfall, then is giving the instructions to them to end the match in a schmozz finish; when Hassan goes low on Benoit, Chioda takes it as his cue to call the match. PWI is correct with the details, but this shouldn't be a story anyway. An improvised finish shouldn't be something to get too ruffled over.

    SD! Match List

    1. Kenzo hasn't been on Smackdown since the Saitama event, where he jobbed to Eddie in under four minutes. 2. Heidenreich has been jobbed out to an unmotivated Booker T -- trust me, he's on the low end of the totem pole. 3. Let's not get ahead of ourselves with Chris Masters. He's defeated Steven Richards and an unknown jobber (John Walter) in consecutive weeks, and he's probably going to be de-pushed after the axe-handle incident last week (ex: Heidenreich injuring Richards last spring). 4. If Booker needs to see what a motivated Booker can do in the ring, he should look no further than last November and his title program with Layfield. In that Booker/Matthews v. JBL/Jordan tag match on Smackdown, Booker had a hot tag that lasted over TWO MINUTES and had the crowd on their feet the whole time; it seemed as if he was moving at a hundred miles per hour for the entire sequence, using every move he had used in his entire WWF/WWE run. If the body of work between a motivated and unmotivated Booker will be *this* large, especially if he's only going to try when he's within reach of the brand's main title, I'd rather he stay in the midcard and keep going through the motions.
  9. Why do people have to use the same tired "I can say whatever the fuck I want, and use my views of WWE's supposed 'unpredictable' booking in any argument" angle? I'd hope that someone can counter this argument with a rational answer, because I completely agree with Jerk's statement. Christy isn't even in the same league as Trish circa 2000, let alone Trish 2004. There's no way she could conceivably work a two minute match, let alone with the pressure of her first singles match at the biggest event of the year.
  10. I'll select Aubrey Huff. Next is Cena's Writer.
  11. Benjamin bringing the IC title into the picture wold be pointless - it would just feel tacked on, and would take the focus away from the point of the match, which is for five other superstars to make a name for themselves. If anything, Benjamin will end Hassan's undefeated streak at Mania for the IC title in a singles match in the 1st hour. There's a pool of wrestlers who *could* be in the match, but it's too early to tell where a few of them (Edge, Rey and Eddie, to name a few) will be by the time the match needs to be announced. Nothing to do, as of yet: Chris Jericho Chris Benoit Christian Maven (playing on the gimmick "make a name for themselves") The could-be candidates: Edge Booker Rey Mysterio Eddie Guerrero Darkhorses: Shelton Benjamin (with or without title) Charlie Haas Muhammad Hassan
  12. It's more the concern over the word "fuck" in print on live television.
  13. Exactly, but my point is that Piper hasn't had a clear and concise interview since Wrestlemania VIII (though he had a good run in early 1996). Keeping it quick and to the point is virtually impossible, and with Austin involved, it won't lead to anything but fisticuffs.
  14. Have you seen a Piper interview since 1992?
  15. Can't go wrong with Miguel Cabrera. Cena's Writer is next.
  16. Man -- Caldwell is STILL playing? Let the 2022 season be his last, at my request. He can get the "second-rate farewell" tour treatment around the league.
  17. Hawai'i 5-0 (bravesfan) It's The R (Cena's Writer) Komiljul (Will Scarlet) The DonDokken's (Vern Gagne) Juiced Up (iggymcfly) EDIT: Unless you were asking for draft order, in which case I have no clue.
  18. You might want to check out the DVDVR board -- they've put up 23 pages of matches up for download in the last five days, including a ton of puroresu.
  19. I'm pretty sure it was 'King Kong'.
  20. Fidel's bit at the end saved the Walt Disney skit. I'd like to echo the segments that people have mentioned earlier, but the two bookend skits went on too long (Volton and Walt Disney) and brought down the show's quality with it. I'm surprised that no one mentioned the Kool-Aid Man's pitcher being punctured by a baseball - that caught me off-guard.
  21. Why not have a set order for the new keeper draft? Something like I proposed earlier... Round 1. 1. Team #1 2. Team #2 3. Team #3 4. Team #4 5. Team #5 Round 2. 1. Team #5 2. Team #4 3. Team #3 4. Team #2 5. Team #1 ...allowing Team #1 to have the first pick for all four rounds handicaps the rest of the new teams. EDIT: Watch when I'm named Team #1, and thus rescind my suggestion.
  22. Alongside of quadruple-double consideration for Kidd and Iverson, I'd like to cast a vote for the guards in Washington - Hughes and Arenas. Those motherfuckers seem to rack up steals, moreso Hughes who averages nearly THREE steals a game. EDIT: Kirilenko, at the beginning of the season, looked like he could get the block stat out of the way in a few games. But, with the injuries he's had to fight through since then, I doubt he could even pull off a triple.
