Webber was well-liked by 10/11 of the other Kings; if it turns out that Webber was traded to appease Stojakovic, that's going to do the exact opposite of improve team chemistry. I gave the Kings the benefit of the doubt on this trade - unless they move these players for an expiring contract tomorrow, this trade is abysmal for the Kings.
-
Trade reported on ESPNRadio, "in serious talks"... San Antonio receives: Peja Stojakovic, Brian Skinner. Sacramento receives: Brent Barry, Malik Rose, draft picks.
-
Someone needs to suggest to the moderators to create a seperate sub-forum for posting downloads. Just look at the DVDVR sub-forum - it's bursting with matches, segments and promos.

Good thing I don't watch TRL and therefor can continue calling him. Post of the day. EDIT: No, not really.

The bad contracts going to the Kings are just that - bad. None of those players are going to produce for the Kings beyond what Webber can bring to the Sixers. What Philly did was to simplify the team contracts, eliminate dead weight, make their franchise player excited to play out the rest of his contract and add a legitimate superstar to their roster. A+ trade for Philadelphia. C- trade for Sacramento (improving "team chemistry" or whateverthefuck).

It's now official... Kings receive: Paul Pierce, Mark Blount, Ricky Davis. Celtics receive: Tyra Banks.

...a "close to done" deal has Baron Davis going to Golden State for Dale Davis, a first-round pick in the 2005 draft, and a pick later in that same draft. Here's the story...
-
The press conference to announce the deal is in eight minutes.

Lil' Jon told everyone in the crowd at a TRL taping to stop calling him.
-
They could draft a defensive coordinator with a brain and switch to a 4-3.

That's because the constant gushing of how Delgado will lock up the NL East pennant for the Marlins is getting on everyone's nerves. Have the Marlins won the NL East in their existence? No.
-
I call bullshit until Mortensen and Clayton explain why Moss changed his mind on the deal. When this was originally proposed, Moss said that he wouldn't restructure his contract (which is what the Raider trade entailed).
-
Never said you were wrong - but be reasonable, Iverson has been painted in a different light since the assault charges were dropped. ...except for the Maryland homer who hates A-I for reasons that haven't been throughly explained.

Here's a good audible on defense that works to a good degree when I employ it: use fake blitzes (this audible brings EVERYBODY down) to scare your opponent into making a quick decision with his QB. When the QB snaps the ball, your defense returns to run the play you called in the first place, but your opponent won't have the time to figure that out. Triangle to bring up "coverage audible" onto the screen, then press left on the D-Pad.

If there's no spots left, I'd like to be an alternate in case there is a "dead team" -- I hate when that happens in leagues I play in.

Blatantly stolen from an ESPN article two years ago... And the best part of it all:

Too lazy to post my reasons (maybe I'll edit them in), but here are the choices nonetheless. Although I understood the title of the topic, I felt that I had to inject my opinion into the deliberation process, especially since I was too young to understand the magnitude of these events. 5th: Kerrigan/Harding. 4th: Major League Baseball cancels the remainder of the 1994 season. 3rd: Danny Almonte's real age revealed. 2nd: Munich Olympics, 1972 (very chilling to go back and relive the tragedy through a sports DVD I own; the feature covered the tragedy quite extensively, complete with archived footage they got from ABC during the standoff). 1st: Pacers/Pistons, 2004 (The first time I have ever been ashamed to call myself a fan of a hobby that I so thoroughly enjoy. This fight has been argued ad nauseum in this forum, so I'll leave it to the posts I made at that time.)

From Meltzer:

He played a full season this year. Not if they can get him in a trade, after the Colts realize Edgerrin is the weakest piece of their trio of cap-eaters. No one would use their picks (i.e. Dolphins and their 2nd pick) on James if the Colts "franchise" him, which to me is the only reason the Colts are doing it in the first place.
-
Anyone would if it involved a 26-year-old running back who has had nearly five 1,000-yard rushing seasons, and is a three-time Pro Bowler in only six seasons. EDIT: ...and if the Colts don't franchise Edgerrin, they'll likely trade him to the Dolphins for Surtain. Sure, they may not look too lovingly at the deal now, but it'll benefit them tremendously on the defensive side of the ball.

1. Moss would fit in at the slot. 2. Mason used to play with McCareins. 3. Mason would the #1 in terms of traditional receivers. He'll take the focus off of McCareins and a slot Moss just by being out there. 4. In terms of yardage, Mason WOULD be their #1 receiver, regardless.

If they put RAW and Smackdown matches on the same card.

EDIT: Not really a question, but more of an observation. RE: Piper/Hart, Wrestlemania VIII. Remember how people accused Bret of blading at Wrestlemania VIII, since he publicly stated he was busted hardway to avoid a Flair-like incident? Well, c'mon, Hart WAS busted hardway. Piper busts him open with a STIFF punch to the eyebrow (you can hear an audible "pop" from the ring).

I'm trying to recall that PSX game they were going to release directly after Fighting Force - except it was chockful of "real-time" violence, so the publishers scrapped it at the final stage. Anyone have a clue of what this was? EDIT: Thrill Kill.
