That's WWE list...and that's only 28. This probably means a combination of these are qualifying matches: -- Spike/Moore/London/Funaki on Smackdown. -- Bashams / Holly & Haas on Velocity. -- Akio v. Nunzio on Velocity.

Nevermind the Bucs pick - that can be for someone new for the mock draft. I'll take the team I had last year - the Falcons.

RE: NBA2K5 League on XBL... At this point, I have 5 confirmed and a possible sixth. If you know of any players interested in this, I'll be happy to get them into the league. These are the settings I'm fiddling with, but I'm not sure of the amount of players we will have. Season Name: TheSmartMarks League Password: Smark Number of Players: 10 Playoff Teams: 4 Round Interval: 5 days Season Length: 12 games Difficulty: Superstar Quarter Length: 6 minutes. Injuries: On Trading: On Series Length: Best of 3. At the end, the most games a player would play is 18. Multiply that by 5 day periods (18 x 5 = 90) and you get about 3 months of play. I'll create the league this Friday, so if you have changes to make to the settings, let me know beforehand.

Yeah. Never lose sight of the fact that any player can get injured. As for the Cubs pitching staff, I think EVERY player got injured. That's true, but it sure as seems like certain guys are injured much more frequently than others. I don't even mean serious injuries, but those nagging ones that keep you out of the lineup for a few games at time, or might land you on the DL at least a couple times. Mets-itis?

He can have it. It's cool. I just wanted a PM discussion to clear up our differences.

Did Dupree qualify in the past three days? The Rumble website has him at the bottom of the Smackdown list, sorted by order of qualifying (RAW has Benjamin first and Flair last, SD! has Puder first).

A mock draft I enjoyed had Brandon Browner (CB, OSU, 6'4", 202, 4.4) going to the Steelers - receiver may be a priority, but the Steelers are strapped by a lack of options and should move to shore up another position.

Doesn't everyone have to deal with injury and depth problems, though? Last year, we were shuffling between Giles and Green at second, moving Chipper back to his natural position to replace DeRosa, bringing Charles Thomas along, while platooning at center AND first.

The question is not how the Marlins will win the division, but how the Braves will lose the division.
-
No, seriously, the Marlins finished thirteen games behind the Braves last year, including a 4-9 stretch to end the season. Record against opponents: ..we could going with simple statistics if you want to. Hey, how'd they do in that final series with the Braves? Sweep, I think?

Quoted for future reference.

Please come up with a better idea for these girls -- everyone save Trish and Molly have a hard time acting out of a paper bag. If you even need an example, Lita wasn't even believable as the storyline girlfriend of Matt, yet SHE'S HIS ACTUAL GIRLFRIEND. EDIT: Besides, Trish has evolved beyond the usual "diva heel" schtick.

...and the Braves will still win the NL East.

Unless I missed a segment, the reason he acted that way was due to the fact that he gave Coach the Rumble spot -- through everything, Coach has been his right-hand man, so it would make sense for Bischoff to support him, regardless of his affiliation. EDIT: He also rejected La Resistance's request to enter the Rumble.

According to Da Meltz on WOL, Rock is GONE. ...but that's as of today.

What if Hogan went through on his promise to job to Bret at Summerslam '93? What if Steve Austin's career DID end at Summerslam '97?

I thought they only did the mini-draft last year because "it all began again." That made sense. I doubt they are going to do it as a re-occuring theme, but it's possible. I just think that would make it too predictable...I'd rather see trades then a set lottery every year after Wrestlemania. It was announced last year, directly after that particular RAW's ratings were announced, that they would do an annual lottery after Wrestlemania. Predictabaility is good, in this case -- what else would the fans look forward to, roster-wise? The hardcore fan won't hold their breath waiting for a blockbuster trade, and the casual fan won't even take notice when there IS one. Besides, creating the Lottery capitalizes on the seasonal success of the professional sports' drafts.

Holy shit - THAT may be the turning point of the game.
