  1. Well, Liger in a cage didn't make much sense at all either. Danielson, has had decent cage matches before. They can't just bring in some unknown or someone else in TNA on the lower totem pole (Aries/Strong). It's too late to try to draw some big outside name for what would be an meaningless match in the grand scheme of things.
  2. So, Orton has two songs on this album? He's also suspended as well, that's just cute.
  3. You know, they really should get Danielson and offer him a one night spot against Daniels, you know the same smarky crowd they were looking for with Liger, would jump for Dragon/Daniels.
  4. Easy, Sharmell cheats like crazy. Kurt, gets counted out in the process. Booker celebrates, Angle slaps the ankle-lock on him and Booker hilariously sells.
  5. Great, like we really needed a bigger focus on the 10 year anniversary.
  6. The storyline, as I remembered was that Hogan requested a match with Sid instead because of his actions at SNME and that Hogan decided that it would be his farewell match. Savage, was named the de-facto #1 contender, to which Flair decided to play mind games and started the "Liz was mine, before she was yours" angle.

    The New Moses

I'm shocked Ashton Kutcher or Jessica Simpson, aren't in this.
  8. You think WWE pay attention to those details? I guess in Kayfabe, we're supposed to argue that the winner of the rumble gets the main event right but since Rey lost the title shot rights to Orton, he wasn't elgible for the main event slot and Orton, hadn't won the rumble... Yeah, there's no logical reasoning in kayfabe. They just needed more time for Conan and Capone's entrances.
  9. Ew. Miracle Whip?
  10. Now, that I have finally caught all the offerings of 2005 (although FIP is way behind) and I haven’t gotten through OVW yet. So It’s possible I could be making changes later this year. *This is NA exclusive as I’m still behind on Puro* 2005 The Top Twenty 20. Austin Aries Vs CM Punk (ROH-Death before Dishonor III) 19. James Gibson Vs Austin Aries (ROH-The Final Showdown) 18. Alex Shelley Vs Claudio Castagnoli (ROH-This Means War) 17. AJ Styles Vs Christopher Daniels (TNA-Bound for Glory) 16. Bryan Danielson Vs Spanky (ROH-BOASJ) 15. CM Punk Vs Jimmy Rave (ROH-Nowhere to Run) 14. Kurt Angle Vs Shelton Benjamin (WWE-Raw) 13. Samoa Joe Vs AJ Styles (TNA-Sacrifice) 12. Samoa Joe Vs Necro Butcher (IWA-Something to Prove) 11 Shelton Benjamin Vs Shawn Michaels (WWE-Raw) 10. CM Punk Vs Roderick Strong (ROH-Escape from New York) 9. Bryan Danielson Vs CM Punk (FIP-Bring the Pain) 8. Rey Mysterio Vs Eddie Guerrero (WWE-Smackdown. 6.23) 7. Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal Vs Low Ki and Homicide (ROH-Nowhere to Run) 6. Kurt Angle Vs Shawn Michaels (WWE-WM21) 5. Samoa Joe Vs AJ Styles Vs Christopher Daniels (TNA-Unbreakable) 4. Low Ki Vs KENTA (ROH-Final Battle 2005) 3. Bryan Danielson Vs Roderick Strong (ROH-Vendetta) 2. Samoa Joe Vs Kenta Kobashi (ROH-Joe Vs Kobashi) 1. Bryan Danielson Vs James Gibson (ROH-Glory by Honor IV) Here’s the Worker Tally (repeat names only) Bryan Danielson: 4 (#1, #3, #9 and #16) James Gibson: 2 (#1 and #19) CM Punk: 4 (#9, #10, #15 and #20) Roderick Strong: 2 (#3 and # 10) Low Ki: 2 (#4 and #7) AJ Styles: 3 (#5, #13 and #17) Christopher Daniels: 2 (#5 and #17) Kurt Angle: 2 (#6 and #14) Shawn Michaels: 2 (#6 and #11) Samoa Joe: 5 (#2, #5, #7, #12 and #13) *This indicates a really strong year for Joe, Punk and Dragon(which is impressive, as he missed 4 months of 2005 in NA) and that Shawn Michaels, despite being one of the oldest active members of the WWE roster is still putting on the top performences for the WWE. It is in my opinion though, that 2005 was the year of CM PUNK. Establishing 4 top twenty matches, in addition to a handful of honorable mentions, he also captured the ROH World Title in a memorable fashion and had a excellent heel turn in the process. The storyline of Punk holding the ROH Title hostage in the summer, was easily a top five storyline in all of wrestling and don't forget his emotional farewell in Chicago against Colt Cabana in a 2/3 falls match. That show ranks #2 all-time best seller for ROH (behind Joe/Kobashi, and ahead of Joe-Punk II). CM Punk moved onto OVW, where he was an instant star and has had great matches and storyline with Brent Albright. My Top 15 workers of 2005 1. Samoa Joe 2. Bryan Danielson 3. Kurt Angle 4. James Gibson 5. CM Punk 6. Eddie Guerrero 7. Christopher Daniels 8. AJ Styles 9. Shawn Michaels 10. Rey Mysterio 11. Shelton Benjamin 12. Low Ki 13. Roderick Strong 14. Austin Aries 15. Brian Kendrick
  11. Good luck with the Mo Pena experience.
  12. I'm talking about the actual fighting part... Seriously, Tony is an out of shaped, fat, and very weak from the gun shot, and he beats up a young, in shaped, muscle freak. That's like Viscera being able to kick Kurt Angle's ass in a fight. The guy was too intimidated to fight back in a room full of ruthless gangsters who would have shot him if he layed a hand on the recovering Tony. He tried fighting back, he rushed at Tony and Tony grabbed his arm. You have to remember that Tony, is an experienced fighter. He'd have the natural ability to beat up a muscle man. Being built doesn't neccesarily make you a better fighter.
  13. It's unrealistic for a hot-tempered guy to get paranoid and insecure and decide to flex his "muscle" to make a point?
  14. I just want one confrontation from a newly outed Vito and Christopher. I can't even imagine the gold that will come from that.
  15. Who was it that caught him at the bar? Maybe Vito, will hunt that person down...and how is that person supposed to explain seeing Vito in a gay club without outing himself in the process?
  16. Vito, steals the show again although the aforementioned Sacrimoni family meeting was right up there.
  17. Considering that Orton has zero respect for the business or his peers or human society in general, I don't expect him to do that. He might put on a good act for a bit of time but he will slip up and do something stupid again.
  18. Hefty, holds the lead over Couples/Olazabal/Singh/Clark for the moment. Up 2 over them.
  19. What a shitty 2006, so far.
  20. What's with Pittsburgh players going to SF? Bonds and Schmidt, to be exact.
  21. I can't believe a David Spade movie brought in 20 million dollar draw.
  22. Vince had some input over ONS with him and Heyman comprimising on certain things that went down on the PPV, most notably Heyman being able to get in RVD's promo, Tanaka's chair shots and Tazz showing up last instead of Austin. Hunter putting over RVD, or anyone else for the belt, isn't as hard to imagine as it seems on the surface. Hunter wants to get that big 17th World title reign and for that to happen he has to drop the belt six more times, and doing it to RVD at ONS makes a lot of sense because it gives the ECW fans the one finish they want above all others. Also, Triple H really has nothing to lose from giving RVD a gold watch title reign. RVD wins the title gives ONSII a special feeling, RVD gets that world title reign people have been harping for. It just gets to #12, quicker. The scary part will come when HHH decides he wants to break Sammantino's record.
  23. The networks have to be going ape-shit about such a tight pack with names (Hefty, Couples, Woods, Singh, Jimenez, Goosen) with some new blood. I'll put my 'internet' money on Couples. No reason, anyone but Woods really for me.
  24. I see in stores around here as well, I never had the urge (and probably never will) to have this.
