What did you guys think about Sotiropolous taking a shot at GSP? "I just got lucky today and I can't wait for Matt to get lucky again in Canada." I'm not sure if that was a direct shot at GSP but it's a shot at whoever said Serra got lucky. Which he totally did. But I could see why he and his camp would be offended. Not much more I can add about that arm-bar. It was pretty nice.

If North Carolina is going to ultimately win this game they need Danny Green. He's the key. I always think he's the guy because I think he's so damn good but he needs to bury threes. Either that or Ellington needs to find his stroke as well.

I was encouraged by the end of the first half. KU's frenetic early pace seems to have tired them out and UNC got their shit together at the end. I'm still not feeling so hot about this game but it's better than the 25-2 run.

I caught it. I agree that Horodecki has a bright future but he didn't really look all that great last night. That decision could have easily gone the other way. I'd like to see Wagney Fabiano fight Faber. He knocked Lierey OUT. Dude's eyes were rolling back in his head and he was trying to get up but just couldn't move. It was a sick, sick KO one one punch. Blackburn had a pretty sick KO too. He was losing the fight pretty convincingly but got the KO. The card was much more enjoyable to watch with Ron Kruck on commentary in place of Kenny Rice. I've expressed my Kenny Rice hate many many times in this thread but my god, the man just sucks at his job.

I'm strictly digital with a car iPod, iPod for the Hi-Fi in the living room, iPod for the gym, and iPhone for everyday stuff like riding the bus. I have absolutely no use for physical CDs. I get 75% of my music from torrents these days and the other 25% off iTunes. I don't mind spending the money but it's hard not to download the torrent when you can get the album weeks and sometimes months before you can buy it. I want the music as quickly as I can get it.

Watch how fast a lot of those relationships disintegrate. I'm 26 and when I was in my early 20s I lived with my college girlfriend and I had a few friends in similar situations. We're all single now at 26. Getting to the moved in stage doesn't mean life long wifey. As for engagements/weddings and ages... there will always be people who get married early and those who don't. A lot of it has to do with social class. No idea about any of Bruiser's friends, brother, but a solider getting married early is pretty standard.

I can't wait. I wasn't nearly this nervous in 2005, except that team struggled in nearly game... almost losing to Villanova and Wisconsin. This year's team has breezed but I'm not 100% comfortable. I probably enjoyed 2005 more because I was still living in Chapel Hill at the time, but I'm still very excited for tomorrow.

Well, that's not 100% accurate. A gogoplata is a pretty rare BJJ hold that utilizes choking out your opponent with your shinbone - pretty much exactly the way UT does it. It's very rare. I agree with EHME. The only #1 contender match right now, in my eyes, is Huerta/Florian. I swear that my blatant mancrush for Huerta has nothing to do with that statement. I just think they have separated themselves from the pack.

I just watched the Adkins fight, which I believe was Urijah's 2nd professional fight. You can really see how far he's come since that fight. He was throwing wild looping punches and had absolutely no idea what to do on the ground. But the potential was still there, obviously, as he absolutely mauled the guy. I thought it was kind of a dick move offering to help the guy up in the middle of the fight while he spent the entire 4 minutes before that and the 3 minutes after just battering the shit out of him.

Matt, for future reference, when there is a pinned event thread... it's that week. That may save you from forgetting in the future. I can't help you on where to find it. I use torrent for shows I miss or want to have.

I'm familiar with C.B. Dolloway from a few HDNet fight cards that I have seen him on. I'm not surprised he easily dominated his opponent. Without knowing a whole lot about all the rest of the fighters - I would put him as an early favorite. I agree that having the fights first really is great. Now you know people and all of those very early training and "getting to meet each other" segments from the beginning will mean more knowing who everyone is. Dana, Rampage, and Forrest were very entertaining on commentary. They sort of buried Paul Bradley, but whatever. Good start to the season.

I really think that the Houston Alexander hope train is derailed at this point. He beat Jardine, which means something but his other win was against Sakara who can't even win at 185. He's been embarrassed his last two times out.
