What does everyone think about Timmay leaving the UFC? I never thought I'd see the day but it appears to be the case.

Kansas fans still hate Roy Williams? It's one thing to be upset for a little while but when a man goes back to his alma mater and the one school he always said he wanted to coach at - how can you hold a grudge for that long?

I figured I would bump this for a few points. 1) The new Google maps feature that came out a few months ago is pretty friggin' awesome. If you aren't aware - you can press a button in the maps menu and triangulate your position using cell phone towers. Depending on the quality of reception you can get within a few blocks. I actually used this when I was lost and was able to get directions right on my phone from the triangulated position. This was actually a bit of a life saver that night. It's also cool how you can search for "pizza" or "bank" and it drops a pin on all of the locations in your immediate area. I find that not only really helpful but extremely cool. 2) iPhone 2.0 will be out in about two months which I'm sure you heard of if you browse any tech sites. It's finally going to be the iPhone everybody wanted off the bat. Opened up to everyone with all types of applications on it. I personally can't wait. 3) It looks like the 3G iPhone is going to be out by the end of the year. I feel like I'm going to have to switch because 3G >>> Edge but I'll cross that bridge when we get there. I've had my phone for nearly 8 months now and I haven't had any issues.

My favorite is Major League. I must have worn the VHS of it out when I was 12. I think Rocky is probably the best.

Nevertheless, I still think it's a bit too soon.

This Diaz "medical marijuana" issue can really turn into a big story if it turns out that the CSAC overstepped their bounds of authority.

I know you're not talking to me but I can definitely see HOW Pulver can use those things to win, but I just can't see him actually doing it. I haven't seen Urijah Faber be anything but unstoppable in all of his fights. Even the Griffin fight - which admittedly I haven't seen in over a year. I can't remember him getting housed in that fight... just caught. I'm not saying that Faber is 100% lock for a win. One, Jens still has instant knockout power and two, with his more well rounded game he's going to keep Faber on his toes. I just think that Urijah can dictate where the fight happens and assuming it's on the ground I think he can handle what Jens will bring to him.

Jemele Hill signing with ESPN was a big deal for some reason. I find her awful. She's not quite pulling in Bill Simmons level mega-bucks but she's making serious bank. They need to get their money's worth.

I've been thinking that this guy is a gimmick since pretty much his first post.

Wash U. has scored above 80 points only once all year. UNC has scored 90+ nearly 30 times. People seem to be worried about the game tonight for some reason but I keep coming back to that stat. Their D isn't THAT good.

Crunkilton vs. Gomez was a hell of a fight. Easily the fight of the night. WEC has something decent in Stann. All the pub with the military stuff and they have been building him up as a big deal since their very first show on Vs. It all paid off for them tonight. Hopefully they can capitalize on it a bit and get some attention from having him as a champ. Another good card.

Not having Mir do the post fight interviews any longer is one of the greatest decisions that any MMA promotion has made in recent memory. Despite being a fairly competent color commentator, he just could not do a post fight interview to save his life. This new guy is actually pretty good at it, too. I really like how the WEC does the superimposed fake staredown in the prefight video pieces. It looks real enough and it's actually pretty cool. I like their presentation in general. And yeah - Hicks was a beast tonight. So was Steve Cantwell.

None of the new albums hitting recently have really caught my attention. Everyone's gushing over Panic at the Disco, and while it's not really my thing I gave it a listen. There's a few decent tracks on there but I can't imagine I'll be listening to any of it in a few months. I loved The Kooks' first CD but this second one is pretty friggin' awful, although it has one or two good tracks on there. I just keep coming back to Lust Lust Lust by the Raveonettes.

Some speculation that the man in the hospital next to Michael is Alvar Hanso. I can't tell.

Some interesting bits of news floating around this morning. Fedor may be on the verge of signing with EliteXC to a 4 fight deal that would put him on two of the CBS cards and two PPVs. Also: Cote vs. Big Dog is on the Griffin/Rampage undercard. That fight has potential. Cote is already saying he doesn't fear Almeida's jitz.

Apparently that was a different actor playing Walt last night. I certainly didn't notice. So who does everyone really think dug of all the bodies in Thailand... Ben or Widmore?

Scott Smith/Robbie Lawler is the co-main for the first EliteXC CBS card with Kimbo vs. TBA in the main. Hell - I want to see that fight. Scott Smith is a damn entertaining brawler.
