I just thought this Mitchell guy booked hosses over talent like some promoters I could mention. An explanation would be nice.

Red Dwarf (at least the first five or six series). Excellent show with lots of quotable material. Series seven and eight hurt it (they got too far away from the show's original premise), but it's still funny shit.

Apparently the only way I can beat The Undertaker with Chris Benoit is if they refuse to acknowledge it afterwards (I got beat at WrestleMania in under 4 minutes with a SmackDown Special advantage to start), so why the fuck would I try it with someone with Rico?

The last company that went through something similar was ECW. That's all I have to say about that.

I know the USWA always had shows at the Mid-South Coliseum every Monday night and WWF stars were almost always on the show from about 1993 on (essentially once McMahon had Lawler under contract). But it just struck me as odd to have one of the top guys working somewhere else on the night of a TV taping.

Why would Vince allow Taker to miss an entire TV taping to work a match in Memphis?

They started teasing the Rage-Kaos feud on Nitro when Rage still had his arm in a sling, but nothing ever came out of it.

It's one thing when you watch it on TV. It's another when you paid however much money for your ticket. But you're right, storyline-wise, that show kicked ass.

Did anybody outside of northeast Ohio actually realize where Shaker Heights was though?

The sad thing is I can't remember one match on that show. Austin-Kane was scheduled and cancelled to do the Kane-Undertaker angle, and that was basically it. I remember what wrestling there was being really bad though.

MillenniumMan hit the nail on the head as far as the size of the crowd. To answer the other questions: Wasn't really looking that close, so I couldn't tell you. Yes. I didn't actually realize they were at a commercial when they did that bit and more or less chalked that up to "Austin's team's losing at Survivor Series so he's getting his shots in now." Of course, since this didn't actually air... And I wouldn't say he actually got the win over Batista since Goldberg did have to save him.

Damn. Tag Team Madness on Velocity. Get rid of Bradshaw-Big Show and put good workers in their place, and it's a good show on paper. The key words are "on paper".

It's hard to make this determination for the simple fact that none of us has ever seem every wrestler/worker to ever set foot in the ring. But considering all the people that Ric Flair made look credible over his career, he's certainly one of the best workers I ever saw. Hell, he took on George South on WTBS in 1988 and had the crowd buying that South might pull off the upset, and South never won a match outside of the PWF in the Carolinas that I ever saw.
