Guest Miss Indy Queen Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I don't think this has been posted yet but at www.thegarden.com website, the official home of Madison Square Garden, lists that a very limited number of ringside Platinum seats for WrestleMania XX will be available for $754.50, that is the highest price ever for a WWE event. Other tickets will cost from $54.50 - nosebleed seats - to $204.50 for a good view. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday, September 27th at 10AM EST on Ticketmaster.com and at the MSG box office.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 least they're not savagly raping the fans [/sarcasm]
JHawk 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 So they make less than half the seats available for non-WWE employees, and they charge more than the PPV cost for a nosebleed seat? Hell, I'll stilll go if I can get them
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Me too. I still want to go, even if I do get raped up the arse with the ticket prices.

iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 55 bucks for a nosebleed? I'll pass. That's just for the WORST SEAT IN THE HOUSE! Not talking about parking, expenses, etc. If Mania is 4 hours for 40 bucks...I'm set. If it's 50 for 4 hours, it better be fucking good.
SteakGrowsOnUecker 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 That's an obscenely obese ticket price.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I was saying this show was going to suck, but at that price, heads are going to roll when it does.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted August 13, 2003 So they make less than half the seats available for non-WWE employees, and they charge more than the PPV cost for a nosebleed seat? Nope - most of the platinum seats have been snapped up by people like me who have purchased a Platinum Travel Package.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Those platinum travel packages are nice if you live in the northeast and plan to drive to NY, but they are DICK for the rest of the nation. All that money and no airfare or anything.

All that money and no airfare or anything. Well I live in the UK so they are ideal. Loads of people from the UK annually get these packages - I would say over 100 or so. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Hmm...here's a thought... someone go and find how much the tickets for WrestleMania 10 were to compare. That wouldn't be a fair comparison, partially due to how the economy is right now, NY taxes, etc.

Don't know why unless someone is going for the ultimate $700 seat. It's much cheaper to just buy your own ticket and hotel and flight than to take those awful packages. Fökai 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 The ringside ticket prices are not as bad as I thought - I was leaning towards the 1-G range.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 13, 2003 The SB tickets are outragous compared to this... 750? Cheap if it's such a HIGH value ticket...
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Hmm...here's a thought... someone go and find how much the tickets for WrestleMania 10 were to compare. From a 1994 edition of "The Wrestling Wrap": Ringside seats for Wrestlemania X will cost $300 and you get to keep the chair.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Here's the full Wrestlemania X ticket prices: $300, $150, $100, $75, $50 and $
Blue Bacchus 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 I was thinking about going but now I'm not so sure. 750 bucks? I'm sure I'd mark out the entire night and have a great time but the cost of the ticket alone is madness.
Guest JericholicEdgeHead Report post Posted August 13, 2003 I hope the fans who pay $754 for a ticket thinks it is worth it, because the way things are going the main event will feature one or more McMahons involved with Jim Ross vs. Eric Bishoff on the undercard. Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 For me to pay that much for a Pro. Wrestling show, it DAMN well be the best ever wrestling show they've ever produced. Something tells me, they don't have that in them.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 What a bunch of crock shit, WM XIX's ringside seats were only $400.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Well Wrestlemania XX is the 20th show and MSG holds 30,000+ less then Safeco Field. So he has to jack up the price
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 13, 2003 People... What did you really Expect to have the same prices for a Venue that holds 20,000 from a venue that held 50,000+? Please....WMXX is more valueable then XIX...Every ticket for any "MEGA" event will be this pricey...Super bowl holds 75+ and tix are still in the Thousands...
Guest Korgath Report post Posted August 13, 2003 It doesn't make economical sense to pump up the price so high if he wants to sell out MSG. Unless he DOESN'T want to sell out MSG and instead hopes to drain mark wallets dry. Whatever the reason, it sure as hell leaves me unable to make the trip to WMXX.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 13, 2003 MSG will sell no matter what the prices are... Vince is doing this the economicaly correct way... Besides...How can you WMXX is more important when it has the same price tag as the 19th one? Price of Admission adds to it's prestige...
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Be funny if Vince had to lower ticket prices because nobody was buying them
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 13, 2003 wouldn't be anything any other venue/event had to do... The comedy would be if sales are so weak which WON'T happen...that they have to move it to like The ManHatten Center.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2003 Ok if anyone thinks WM XX will be worth that kind of money is really fucking stupid. Not even a "good" wrestling show is worth that price. I'd even stretch further and say, not even a "great" show is worth $750 dollars for JUST A TICKET. I could see going to raw or smackdown and spending the $30-40 for a front row ticket to boo and get on the wrestlers nerves and maybe see ONE good match, but to spend $750 to do it? FUCK THAT.
