It's just that it seems to me that a lot of the time, he's not singing - he's showing off. Yeah, you can sing really high, we get it. I just wish he'd keep his voice lower more often, as I just perfer the sound of his voice when it's low (relatively speaking, of course).

He sounds like his balls were cut off, reattached on his vocal chords, and then cut off again. He's a twice-castrated pretentious suckass that tries delving WAY too deep into bad music. He's like pure concentrated Dio. Even worse, he's a fat crystalline line of Dio rocked up into a substance not unlike crack. It seems reduntant, but everything he's ever written can indeed be summed up with "He can sing really high. Bully for him." The music surrounding his treble circus is nothing special either.

Dave > Rick > Syd > Roger Hey, I won't here a bad word against Fletcher Memorial! That song kinda shows what I like about Roger as a singer. He's not technically that good, but he can put a lot of emotion into his songs. I think it's more a case of his vocals suited the songs he wrote to a tee, rather than pulling them down.

I think Roger is a phenomenal writer, and his melodic speaking can be great in places for the albums. But when it comes down to singing, David Gilmour and and even Rick Wright (VERY underrated) above and beyond.
